Kelsey, you are my favorite because you are real. You're not selling your channel by short shorts and revealing tops and cute quippy aside comments for entertainment.....you are showing and sharing your talents and skills....so real, I truly respect you and I've learned so much from watching your videos. Thank you for being a real artisan.

A tip for your carpet is to add a rug pad or a thin carpet pad it will make your area rugs feel more substantial under your feet and it gives cushion to an otherwise flat cheap area rug.

Yes! I need to do this to my living room rug.

I’m totally with you about the impact of paint - it can utterly transform anywhere. I never understand why some people don’t grasp that. Love what you did with your kitchen and the outside of your home, stunning. It looked you’d moved home! 😊🇬🇧

In one of my homes we had wooden windows with removable wooden grids/grilles. They were such a pain to clean each square so I removed the grids and stored them in the basement. It gave the windows a more modern look instead of the traditional 6 pane window style. I also painted my oak kitchen cabinets black (Ralph Lauren Bone Black, discontinued) and both sides of my front door and the exterior window shutters black as well (very classic look not trendy).
I love all of your updates, you have increased your home value immensely.

I left this video with a newfound enthusiasm to tackle my own home improvement projects with confidence.

Great video! I've done most of these, a side from cutting the wood and assembling those projects myself. I wish you'd teach us how to use/cut/measure the saw, etc. That would be so helpful!! That would be a great tutorial series. I'd love to get a small table and saw to take on these projects. In the last room where you change out the throw, some bamboo windows covering would look nice replacing the white window coverings. I did not pay attention throughout the home, but to create balance you could carry them throughout the home.

Currently painting walls & using a gray color for my doors & planning to do my baseboards. I would love some new lighting in my living room & hall space. She paints with no taping off and sloppy edges require a lot of extra work. Tape it off. Primer it first then paint one or two coats. Not taping off, to me, is creating a crap ton more work. But I absolutely love the color of the black cabinet to offset it , counter white quartz tops and the best is the island added. I love it. ❤

MDF board is raising some health concerns because it’s made with an adhesive containing urea-formaldehyde (or urea-methanal formaldehyde), which “off-gasses” into its surroundings. Formaldehyde is classed a carcinogen.

Love your tips and what you've done with your house... except painting that outside brick!! You had a beautiful, timeless pale brick, and replaced it with cheap paint that's going to need a lot of upkeep... My neighborhood is full of painted brick houses that are chipped and peeling, it looks just awful and it's really hard to fix. You'll have to repaint the whole house every few years, or strip the paint... Plus your original brick looked so stunning and high end!

Can you tell me the gray/green color on your garage door? We have a white 1975 large brick ranch house with black shutters and white garage door ( boring ). I want to paint the garage & side door and possibly the shutters another color although I like the classic black. We have a new black roof and our shutters need repainted regardless of the color.

One more thing.. I’m a person that always thinks of safety. I was wondering if you thought of getting a glass storm door to put in front of your doors. Just a extra security measure. The world is not safe like it use .. please don’t take this msg from how beautiful your home is. Just was thinking of safety.. 💜💜

I love storm doors they do give you an extra layer of security. I grew up in an older home that had a vestibule, you had to enter through a storm door a glass door, then small 5x5 space, finally your main door. I wish I had it now. But that's a great idea to add

Also instead of a storm door you can consider installing a Medeco lock which requires a key. Do not keep the key in the lock. There are also other ways to reinforce the strength of the door. The medeco would mean even if someone broke the window on the door they could NOT reach down and just turn the lock to let themselves into your home.
      Have a lovely day!

You need to put a keyed deadbolt on the front door.
Personally I would change it out for a solid steel door.
