    A small stool between the plant and the bed would make a nice perch for water, phone, and glasses for the other side of the bed. Beautiful makeover-- colors and understated decor.

    Looks beautiful! One suggestion…move the night stand a little closer to the bed. If you are in bed you want to be able to reach the lamp to turn off.

    • @andreasmith8213
      @andreasmith8213 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I agree. I would switch the candle and lamp. You want the lamp close to the bed and the candle not close to the bed linens. 😉

      Good ideas. When I have guests I will probably remove everything from the night stand except the lamp so guests have room for phones, books, etc.

    You've inspired me today to continue working on my original 1965 home!! I've done alot and get frustrated, bored, and just plain old tired ...but now I feel like I have some new wind in my sails! Even just watching you paint! I hate to paint but I love the outcome. Feeling motivated again! Thank you!

    This looks so beautiful and relaxing. I love the beadboard and the colors. I don't have tvs in any bedroom, but that is just me. My only thought would be to move the lamp closer to the bed. I read every night before bed or if someone is on their phone it would be hard to reach the lamp. I love your channel and look forward to christmas. You have new railing to decorate!

    Another beautifully done room!!! Thanks for showing your little mishap on the cut of the outlet, I now know even a pro like you can make a mistake. Your videos push me to try so many more projects. I now do things I would have waited for my husband to do.😂

    Gorgeous! I also wanted to let you know about something that was a game changer for me on doing renovations. I noticed you use a small stepstool a lot as a seat, I bought a mechanics rolling stool from Harbor Freight which has a small tray on the bottom that I can keep paint or drills or whatever I’m using on as I’m working. When I’m painting down low, I can just roll around on that thing and never even have to get up. I renovated a 2400 square-foot house to flip and that little stool was a life saver when tearing out all the flooring and pulling up staples.

    Just beautiful as usual. You may want to think about a small bench under the window, or under the TV for something different this would give your guest a place to put their bags or sit. Have you heard of sidebar curtian rods, just for looks. You have created another beautiful space in your home. Thank you for sharing!!!

    I enjoy your detailed step by step descriptions of the whys of everything you do. Beautifully finished work, and beautiful room. I have a couple of suggestions. If two people are sharing the room, perhaps adding a low shelf or small table on the other side of the bed, with a small lamp would be helpful. Also, a long, low, narrow bench along the "empty wall" would be useful for placing suitcases, bags, or sitting when putting on socks and shoes. The big plant could also go on that corner. Again, beautiful

      Thank you! I think two nightstands is a great idea. I was planning to do so that in this room but couldn’t find two that I liked in my price range. I’ll be keeping my eye out for some I can refinish.

    Love that Jogging Path color. Love ALL your makeovers!
    Could you tell us what size nails you use in your nail gun?
    How about a small dresser in the room with the TV above it.

      Hi, I use 18 gauge brad nails to go with my 18g nailer. For the bead board, I used 1.5” nails. For the trim, I used 2” nails.

    Hello Kelsey, I found you recently and I enjoy watching the progress on your home projects! You make it look so easy, I know it's not though! I also like the color you chose for the guest room, great choice!
