A cousin of mine bought a blue '59 brand new . 235 , six cylinder , three on the tree , with overdrive . I always liked that truck .

Love to hear stories like that. Sounds like a good spec!

@@DesertMotors oh it was . Damn shame that the gods of rust demanded to have their way with it by '64 . Not like my cousin didn't keep his vehicles well washed/waxed and maintained .

@@bobbrinkerhoff3592 Yeah, this car is by no means a "survivor". Went through an extensive restoration and is likely one of the nicest '59s in the world now. Probably nicer than it was new, honestly. Currently up for auction with four days left and the current high bid is $60,500.

I’m restoring one, finding parts has been a headache, all I’m missing are the tailgate tail light moldings and I want to replace my fender moldings they aren’t that good of shape. 2 year process finding parts, just finished the frame and got it back under the body for transport and test fitting. Originally snow crest white with silver interior. Going to do two tone snow crest white and a cameo coral, I found a nice set of paint dividers from an impala for it. I’ve been using the BAT post as reference for how to put mine together haha.

Very nice, haha. Happy to help how I can! They're great cars and it sounds like you're putting together a cool one with those specs. Good luck finding the remaining parts!
