This may sound a little strange, but thank you for making the videos you do. It's hard to repaint scene but it's more harder to originally create it for the movie. What a talented people works at Ghibli🤩
These videos are so inspiring to me. I was very artsy as a child but "grew out of it" only to return in my late twenties. I'm learning so much as I do paint-by-numbers about shading and linework. Your pieces constantly amaze me with how simple a brush stroke seems to be, only for it to be such a big influence on the rest of the art. Thank you for posting these.

Obviously you've been able to make flawless scenes for quite some time, but how did you get to this point? What basics did you have to start with to train your eye? I can paint like this with oils, I have plenty of time before things dry, but gouache is so intimidating with the color shift and the drying speed. -- And thank you for this beautiful video. So inspiring 💚🌱
I've been painting for years. I graduated from the faculty of fine arts. If you get used to it, gouache is also a simple material.

My daughter bought me the same paints you use for Christmas. I have not opened them yet. What were you spraying on them? Your paintings are beautiful and am anxious to open mine but trying to learn more about them by watching you.
She was misting them with water so they don't dry out, but I don't know if it has to be a certain type or not. Most likely distilled so as not to contain any bacteria. Because these sets stay wet for a looong while, they have the potential to mold. If you look up videos on how to care for your Himi Jelly Gouache, there's lots of them out there that can explain this 😊👍🏻💚
