He reminds me a lot of Hakeem Olajuwon. A dominant center with high BB IQ. A non-selfish superstar whose own style of gameplay elevates others in his team.
We need more superstars like Jocik instead of statpadders.

I am absolutely a huge fan of jokic, I believe he is in several ways one of the greatest players to ever touch a basketball, but I have to give props to indeed this year he is actually really showing a dominance , the only question is will he be able to bring that into the playoffs there are some scary teams this year because they had to make them in order to oppose the nuggets, and Joel embiid will have to get past a very stacked Boston team and a very underrated and scary playoff Heat team, then he will have to either battle the Denver nuggets, the LA Clippers or the Oklahoma City thunder, and very improbably the Timberwolves, indeed is not going to have it easy and here's the thing if the LA Clippers come out on top that's going to be in bed versus hardened to see who was the problem in the playoffs, that will be a very interesting series. I still have a lot of faith in the nuggets, I know they're not playing to their potential at the moment and I know that the Joker is just on cruise control, but there are some definite roadblocks for them this year as well

you make some really good points. For the Nuggets to go back to back they will need all the starters to play better in the playoffs. Murray does play his best game when it counts, so I expect the same. MPJ when he moves more is a great piece to the Nuggets and Gordon has to be healthy as he plays a big part in the Jokic connection, defensively and rebounding. Pope is consistent on both ends of the court. The bench as always will play an intricate part. Jackson has upped his game this year, Braun needs a little more O and Peyton has really improved showing great stuff on both ends of the court. All in all. Expect another Nugget parade in Denver!

We saw what Jokic did with a 21-22 roster that included 6 players currently out of the league sharing significant minutes with Jokic.
We also saw what Luka did last year, with a much better roster than Jokic had in 21-22.
Luka is phenomenal, and I'd argue the 2nd-3rd best player currently. But Jokic is quantifiably, objectively, verifiably, factually, more impactful.

Oh my god, another dickriding post about Jokic...
Is he the current best player in the league? Yeah you can say so. But stop acting like he's so far above everybody else.
We get it, he's good. But he's not owning the league more than many good players before him. Stop put him on that Celestial pedestal like he's a basketball god or anything

Luka is fantastic but in my opinion he is more of a scorer first then Jokic.

You're both right! Why does this have to be so blk/wht? Luka is AMAZING and Jokic is AMAZING. Put them egainst each other, all else equal (somehow their squads are identically good) and they are each the top player on their team. I'd say the game would go to jokic if i were a betting man, but not by much, no matter what, luka is not dropping less than 30, but has to score more than Jokic to win. Whereas Jokic is maybe a better passer? But at the same time who knows? They have the surrounding casts they have and we can straight up compare them. But Luka is NO SLOUCH when it comes to IQ and Passing. I'd say Nicola's MAIN advantage over Luka is that he's more mature and doesn't let frustrations distract him. Otherwise I say they're close to 50/50

Luka better scorer but Jokic better passer and more efficient and more rebounds.
