The village is worth a few days on its own. Many great restaurants. The walk over to Blackcomb is a nice change of scenery too....plus more great entertainment spots. Great video!
As someone who doesn't ski or snowboard, I never had any desire to go to Whistler. But boy was I surprised with the vibe, and all of the attractions. Whistler CAN be for you even if you're not a winter sports person, or if you're visiting during off season.
Hi Sarah, Wonderful video, I don’t think I have seen whistler without snow, how beautiful. I loved all your suggestions, but I do like a gondola to get up nice and high. Loved yet another of your videos.
yeah its also an awesome mtb downhill park location! probably the most famous in the world. not only the Park but there are other awesome trails there aswell...
Very nice video with lot of useful information about things to do in Whistler and area around. I liked particularly parts of the video about Furry Creek Beach and Lookout and day trip to Vancouver.
This place looks so lovely and even without the snow it still has such a ski village look to it. We would both love to go to Whistler skiing but had no idea there was so much to do there without skiing, the nature and waterfalls look beautiful!
My friend and I went to Vancouver many, many years ago and drove up to Whistler. They were filming a German variety show in the village so it was full of Germans. It's funny because both my friend and I have German mothers. We met 3 RCMP and hung out with them for awhile. We also saw a dog agility training event and then went horseback riding. They have a summer luge you can ride too. It's a fun place even in the summer.
Great info! Those fries looked delicious! Always enjoy a gondola 🚠 ride up the mountain. As a non skier it’s still a great way to see a mountain. Those waterfall looked awaking! I love the clouds and the hiking in the second gondola as well. Sea to sky looks like my jam. So many fun adventures to have there! Thank you!
I'm so excited to visit British Columbia some day. It looks so beautiful! Ski hills across North America have done such a great job creating fun summer experiences. I had a ton of fun one summer going to Vail, Colorado - lots of hiking, mountain biking, and a fun village to explore
That mountain biking looks so intense but fun! There really is a lot to do in this area and so many great views from the gondolas and the hiking trails. I had no idea!
Great tour guide! It looks like a cute town with so much to do. We would definitely want to check out the Olympic plaza. Also nice that you can take day trips from Whistler!
Lol, we would likely still get lost a few times too! 😂 Cool covered walking bridge with views of that river! Interesting to read the placard about the culturally modified tree--we have not ever heard of that before. The Olympic Plaza reminds us of the Olympic area in Park City. Wow, impressive waterfall! We experienced a Brandywine Falls in Ohio last October...not as big though. Bet you can't go into that water to fish without waders; seems like it would be really cold! April snowshoes and has tried cross-country skiing, but has never skied...Wayne is a snowboarder though 😎
Wayne - a snowboarder and a motorcycle enthusiast! 😎 Much cooler than us lol. My husband used to snowboard and once upon a time I went skiing, but I prefer to hike the mountains - and maybe not in the winter haha
Steve is in the same boat, I brought him to a ski mountain in Turkey but he doesn't ski so it's really nice to see these resort areas cater to other crowds, especially the sky gondola! Canada has so much more natural beauty than people realize, and sadly I haven't been yet and Steve has only seen Niagara Falls... seems like we have a lot to catch up on.
I'm going to bc in September for a couple of weeks. Do I need to carry with me a jacket or a Hoodie will be enough ? Not planning to camping just to walk during mornings. Thanks in advance.
The village is so cute! I was really surprised by all of the options for things to do. I would want to try mountain biking. I think I have technically been on a "mountain bike" in my younger years, but I don't think I can say the leisurely riding was anything like actual mountain biking 😆 I was happy to see Shannon Falls again in this video for the rock climbing 💪
if you have never mountain biked specifically done park style whistler is not the place to try it. whistler bike park is like the mecca of the mountain biking community and its not the spot for beginners
@@TheAverageTourist can you tell us in all your future videos the month you are visiting. I asked the same question. Beautiful videos. I just found your channel.
Beautiful place even in the off-season, as stated, but food and activities are NOT cheap! Be prepared to drop some cash on dining ($85/CAD per couple is normal).
Bruh I live in Vancouver and been to whistler off season 10 times and you didn’t mention the treetop adventures or tv tours or anything cool. Might as well just google street view the areas and recommend what u see

Hi, what would you recommend to do for about 3 days in whistler between 16-19 November? We are a mid-30s couple that's not too sporty.
As someone who doesn't ski or snowboard, I never had any desire to go to Whistler. But boy was I surprised with the vibe, and all of the attractions. Whistler CAN be for you even if you're not a winter sports person, or if you're visiting during off season.
The calmness of the place is sweet for 2 days, not more than this. The food looks delicious and clean.
Whistler Canada videos looks so coo nice thanks for brilliant video 😊👍🇬🇧

Quite scenic and well narrated. Good information. Keep posted great videos.

There is plenty to do there!! And just like any ski village, it's all fairly expensive... but the scenery is worth it.
Another beautiful hike near whistler is Joffrey lakes hike.
Oh thanks, good tip!

Such a beautiful area! Cant wait to go back!
I agree, so pretty.

It's a beautiful province. I had never been before and I was blown away at how beautiful it is there. Tried to talk my hubby into moving there haha
Great video! Love the storytelling. I also created content for Whistler but this one is great! 🎉❤
Nice video The Average Tourist. one of the great day trips away from Vancouver.
Thanks very much!
@@TheAverageTourist you're welcome

nice video.. ill be there in 8 weeks
Thanks, hope you have a great time!

Yes very intense! I enjoyed watching, but know I wouldn't be trying it out myself lol.
just for your info whistler also has some easy trails you can ride. or you go to the trails outside of the park, these are generally easy.
We go to whistler often from Vancouver. You should check out the Squamish Lilwat Cultural centre.
I'd love to go back and add this to my list.
Just want to say this is great video. So glad your channel growing well. Good job, you deserve!
Have a nice day from us 😊
Thank you so much I really appreciate it!!

Yeah the town is such a cute vibe. Felt like a Hallmark Christmas Movie town.
@@TheAverageTourist awww! Loving the cheesy Christmas movies at the moment 😅
Awww adventurous vlog 🤟👍
Hi my friend stay connected 😆
thank you
I like your succinct yet informative comments🙏
Thank you!
Thanks a lot for all the information. Just wondering where the last covered bridge is? Looking forward to more of your videos...
I believe that bridge was on one of the walking paths between the Blackcombe Day lodge and parking lots 1 and 2.
There is also lots of Music Festivals
Oh good to know!
Great video. Which month was this taken? Summer?

Wayne has done so many things...he is an adrenaline junkie! Most April will try, but she does have her limits, LOL!

You can do a whole series of travelling across Canada one day!
I sometimes prefer the off season! A lot less people! 😁 All the best! Kaat
Yes it's true! Nice to have more room and less line ups.
Very nic video ❤❤❤
Did you mention Scandinavian spa in whistler ?
No, but good addition!
I'm going to bc in September for a couple of weeks. Do I need to carry with me a jacket or a Hoodie will be enough ? Not planning to camping just to walk during mornings. Thanks in advance.
I'd bring a light rain jacket and a hoodie just to be on the safe side. Gets cooler and can be rainy there.
I will come to see u again dear
can get a taxi/uber from YVR to Whistler?
If you have the money, yes.
Better drive there with a greyhound bus from Vancouver.
