How long do you recommend for the leader and what test line and knot to join the lines? Also your opinion fluorocarbon vs mono?

That would depend on the current and the structure, but I like to have that leader about 20-24 inches long when using a weight and swivel to connect to the line above the terminal. Hope that helps!
