- What If Yajirobe from #DragonBall decided to train and become stronger than he was in the anime series? His power had potential and when it was Yajirobe vs Goku, it was very even...for a while. However, this character became very lazy and chose to live with Korin and have an easy life...but what if he didn't and chose to be more active against King Piccolo and his son? Would Kami recognise his power? Let's find out! What If Yajirobe Was A Z-Fighter?

He’s one of those characters that everyone thinks. “Oh he’s no threat”. Only to realize “Oh snap this fella is trouble”. Imagine in the future timeline Trunks taking dueling lessons from Yajirobe.
Imagine Future Yajirobe being the tragic mentor that unlocked Future Trunks' super saiyan form and Future Gohan is off in the distance reading a boobie magazine or something wondering where all that screaming's coming from.
He beat Cymbal, didn't he?
Future trunks would prolly be much more like his main timeline counterpart in that situation lol.

Goddamn, this is on point. I've ALWAYS had this feeling that he has more potential than any other Earthling because he was almost on par with Goku upon meeting him presumably without ever having tried hard (while Goku had gone through some serious training at that point).
He still was after the Piccolo arc too. Remember he also had the Ultra Convenient Ass pull Water. He tasted a drop before Goku took a swig.

Same with Krillin too, but even Krillin wasnt quite Gokus equal even after all that intense training. It makes you wonder just how powerful he'll get.

Honestly im surprised we/they never did more with yajirobe. For a human he seems immensely strong.
Go back and remember everything the Human fighters did leading up to the saiyan invasion.
When yajirobe was training with them on the lookout, He seemed strong fam. He was dancing around krillin while eating.
If he got over his cowardice i think he could have gone far. Wish he wasnt defeated by "kami" in the tournament preliminaries so we could see more.
I think he’s one of the characters Toriyama forgot about.
I have a feeling that Yajirobe in this What If is going to turn into a discount vegeta, always chasing after Goku in power

The difference is that unlike Vegeta, Yajirobe is going to grow out of it out of boredom.
I want to see him using Ki to charge his sword, like Zamasu but with the sword in hand instead of just a ki-blade.

Instead of the Samurai, it’s Chi-Chi who defeats Cymbal, helps Goku with King Piccolo, and actually trains under Kami with him?
... Maybe they'd both be better parents to Gohan later. Fighting and Martial Arts are damn important in this world... They'd instill a desire and love for it possibly from The Cradle.
What if Chi-Chi decide to travel with Goku at the beginning of the series, and then decided to go along to training with Roshi, so to stay close to Goku.
Basically what if Chi-Chi was Z-Fighter in the series.
That would be cool.

I like to think of Yajirobe as the OG Swordsman. I know Future Trunks is more recognizable and marketable these days, but gotta pay respect where respect is due with this character.

I actually want to see more of this. Years ago when we watched this and people mentioned Yajirobe was a coward and useless, I remarked that he had the balls to step in when it counted - saving Earth from Vegeta by cutting off his tail, and then again, putting his neck on the line to keep the prince from murdering an unconscious kid. In all, I always respected him for taking the risk despite being weaker by far then the rest of the gang.
I love these what ifs. I constantly feel like the creator of dragonball and Z forget about whole ass characters. Good ones too. Will we get a ultra powerful ronin the dragonball universe always deserved but never knew it?
I would like to see Yajirobe eventually develop a technique similar to the spirit sword from Yu Yu Hakusho (as well as the one from Dragon Ball Super). Yajirobe is going to be a BEAST on all the villains that don't regenerate. The perfect candidate for wielding the Z sword, too!

I've been waiting for a what if like this
If there's one thing I appreciate from the early days of DBZ, it's how even a loser like Yajirobe could do damage to a guy like Vegeta if given the chance. I really miss that about the series. I miss feeling as if everyone at least had a shot, you know?
I get that. It's that feeling that makes these what if type videos so interesting
Hell, even Yamcha was actually a powerful fighter at that point.
It is still possible. Remember Sorbet's laser gun ring, the supreme kai's paralysis technique, Dabura impaling Buu with a spear, Dabura's cursed spit, Babidi's electric slime spell (which might have worked against anyone other than Piccolo), Guldo's paralysis + impaling with a stick combo.
See also: Tien VS Semi-Perfect Cell, and later, what was left of the Z-warriors VS Perfect Cell while he beam struggles with Gohan.

Yes! Yajirobi definitely has the potential to be a huge help. He was as strong as Goku without ever training with a master at one point. Not even Krillin and Tien have that luxury.
Even if you say you're going to try and keep it grounded don't be afraid to really show that untapped potential, Masako!

Me and my roommate's have headcanoned that Yajirobe must be Saiyan, or atleast part Saiyan. He's too powerful to be just a human. This will be a fun series

I love the ideas and videos he comes up with, especially the voice over aspect of his videos lol. It brings so much more life into his stories and what ifs, it's one thing to just say your what ifs and another too actually act them out. Brings so much more uniqueness and enjoyment in general. I wouldn’t say stronger goku had a slight edge, they were nearly equal, but he wasn’t far at all at that point he was stronger than krillin and yamcha, possibly tied too.

What if idea: what if piccolo fused with kami in the future.
