- Went out to Saluda river to catch striper from the bank this morning. Caught a nice one but couldn’t manage to get anymore to commit. Will be doing more river striper videos soon. Stay tuned!

Nice fish bro caught a couple saturday afternoon under the i20 bridge decent size 24 and 26. they are everywhere right now.
Where is a good spot to fish from bank. I want my kids to catch a decent striper? Thanks for the videos
There really aren’t many that are easy to access. The ones I use I kayak to usually.
Cool video, brother! 🙂✌️🎣
Thank you for watching!
What did/reel combo are you using? Looks like the one I’m using…..
It's a Penn Pursuit 2 4000 reel on a medium heavy ugly stick GX2
@@TheEricInman that’s my reel! I bought a combo from academy about a year ago
@@TheEricInman love the channel especially since I live locally in the Columbia area.
@@dollarsncentsvideo thanks for the support!
Is it legal to traverse the bank of the river up to a certain footage in proximity to the water? My son and I went to the boat access across the Saluda park but felt like maybe we should go exploring.
Also what was your set up for this catch? Thanks for the post!!!
It is legal as long as there aren’t no trespassing signs. Some people do own property on the water so be aware of that. I’m using a gx2 ugly stick with a penn pursuit 2 reel size 4000. I’m using a sort of Carolina style rig. I explain it in my other video titled “monster striper on saluda river@
Nice post! Did you ever caught them by topwater or swimbait at this spot?
I’ll go out on my kayak sometimes to do that but you can at this spot also
Are places like this accessible through the river walk or do you have to walk through the woods?
Some neighborhoods border it so you could do that. Candi lane more towards Columbia has plenty of access as well.
what kind of bank rod holder is that? how can i get one?
I’m not quite sure what’s it’s called. It’s mainly for surf fishing because you can really only use it in sandy type areas. I got this one from a tackle shop near the beach here in SC.
