    without using filter option how could I get all the information like filter function. It will be great helpful to me.

    • @chandoo_
      @chandoo_  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Excel now has a function to do this. See my FILTER video for that. th-cam.com/video/JuTdj2j-9Kg/w-d-xo.html

    Sir please make a video on OFFSET function and its variation with other most usable functions

    • @chandoo_

      Sure. I will add a video about this. Meanwhile, read up about the function usage here: chandoo.org/wp/offset-formula-explained/

      @@chandoo_ To emphasize a particular point from that article, try to use Index() as much as possible for computationally heavy spreadsheets. The volatile flag for Offset() can have a huge impact on real-time responsiveness.

    Great. Thanks. One question. How to extract (FILTER) data between two given dates?

    • @chandoo_
      @chandoo_  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Here is one example with the employee data in the video. This filters everyone joined between 1 Jan 2018 and 31 Mar 2018.
      =FILTER(data, (data[Date Joined]>=DATE(2018,1,1))*(data[Date Joined]

    I have been using these new functions in my Office 365 subscription over the last few months and they are amazing. However I recently received an update and now they are all unrecognized by Excel and preceded by "_xlfn" in all my formulas.

    • @chandoo_
      @chandoo_  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Julia... You may have accidentally switched your Office update channel. Please go to File > Account and verify that you are on "office insider". The DA functions are currently available only this level but I expect them to be mainstream soon.

    *Waste of time as you can do most of these functions in any table, and quicker*

    • @chandoo_
      @chandoo_  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm... I don't think you understand the *_implications_* of these array functions. Feel free to comeback once you have some real world needs to apply these formulas instead of manually sorting or filtering tables.
