@@robertserram9219 you do realise this is a sanctuary, right? And those are rescue elephants, the only cage around is for newcomers or when there are problems or babies, cause you can't just 'throw' them with the others right off the bat. Can you understand that or is that too difficult for you?

I think the down votes are from people who mistakenly think these Elephants are in captivity. They may be in some type of enclosure in this video, but they are in a sanctuary run by a woman who is an angel on earth. She loves and cares for them unbelievably well and they have wonderful lives there.
Aaron B I still don't get it with the down votes. Every time I watch, it brings a smile. I have watched quite a few video's from this sanctuary. The elephants looked like they are well taken care of and enjoying a good life.....the life they so deserve!

Lol!! I know this video is 8 years old but what a great fun clip. You can just see how "brave" the lil baby is to test out the wading pool then race back to his mum. 😁 "Mummy! Did you see me? Did you see me slap the cool wet stuff with my trunk? And I twirled my trunk and kicked my legs!" Thank you for rescuing and providing a safe place for these beautiful creatures. What a beautiful animal! Curse the poachers who hunt them to extinction in Africa...
When the rich stop demanding ivory and there is no money to be made poachers will stop. Instead of cursing the poachers first curse the rich you demand the death of these elephants and are willing to pay for it. The same goes for diamonds...don't wear diamonds, don't demand expensive diamonds wedding rings and soon the blood diamonds won't exist.

So anyone trying to shift the blame only to the poachers is actually not addressing the problem and is supporting that evil. Curse the lack of any comparable employment to give them alternatives for keeping themselves and their families fed.
They know they could be shot themselves and yet they do it anyway.
The same is true for tiger poaching in Siberia - there just isn't much going to pay the bills and so people turn to illegal methods to do so.
Fill these poaching regions with good employment and watch the poaching stop without any need for armed anti poaching patrols which cost money to operate all by themselves.

Omgosh watching this little guy have fun and trying to be scary as he runs up to the camera person filming him is so sweet & funny it just made my day. Mom looked like she was smiling as she put her feet into the pool. I think she really appreciated the paddling pool for her precious baby so he could experience and have fun in the water.

OMG!!! OMG !!! I never seen a elephant act so happy. I think she was even smiling ( mom ). God it almost brought tears of happiness to my eyes. It makes me so so so happy to see humans, normal people care for these beautiful giants. Next year I'm gonna try volunteering at the reservation in Tennessee. Donations ain't enough. These type videos makes me love people again
so sweet. I can't forget the horrifying photos of the suffering elephants shown at the start. How terrible humanity can be with our cruel selfishness. Thank you for giving these elephants a place of safety and peace.
