Replace reservation with "Grants" should be based on economic status of the family which will include everyone regardless of religion? Grants should be only on education. Full Grant and half Grant. For the most poor families, lit should extend to graduation. This way there is no compromise on merit. Even the brightest of employees in India lack reasoning/creativity/ communication/logic skills. How do you expect to become a superpower when majority of your employees come through reservation which is half baked on merit. Its a popular political tool, but it denigrates the individual as well as the nation. Doing away with reservation and replacing with a better financial package will abolish this caste politics as well as create casteless society. The Grant scheme should be given to only 2 children max per family. All educational and living costs upto the age of graduation should be paid for. No grants will be available fir 3rd or beyond. You kill 2 birds with one stone. Population control and reservation.

During the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947, Hindus who migrated to India from Pakistan had their properties in Pakistan seized by the Muslims and the Pakistani government. But the properties of Muslims who moved from India to Pakistan were given to Waqf Boards by the Indian government. Subsequently, in 1954, the Waqf Board Act was enacted. This means that the Government of India has given its own properties to the Islamic Waqf Board but not the same amount of properties to other religious denominations in India. As a solution, the Indian government should give equal property to Hindu, Christian, Buddhist, Jain and Sikh sects or take back the property from the Waqf Board.
We need to understand what is the subtlety in the 1995 Waqf Act. Section 3 of the Wakf Act, 1995 allows the Wakf Board to claim property only on its "opinion" without any evidence. If the Wakf Board claims a property, the real owner of the property cannot go to court rather he has to approach the court of Wakf Tribunal. For example, your enemy enters your house and abducts your wife but you cannot stop it and the police department and court will not help you instead you have to appeal to your enemy's accomplices to release your wife. The Waqf Act has now been reformed to correct such abuse of law.

There is no logic to justify the existence of a wakf act only for one religion or for no religion. Fully agree the Act has to be abrogated.
