    There's this book in daggerfall about a scholar who decides to investigate Nymphs and it's pretty funny.
    No one takes his research seriously but he does get a few leads on where to find them, so he goes there, meets a Nymph and stays with her for a while. Guy comes back to society, turns in his report and no one ever hears from him ever again.

    As someone who does a lot of work on UESP's lore bestiary and Obscure Creature page, its fun to see a video like this using some of my work!

    Makes me wonder why Bethesda decided not to bring back those random creatures from Arena and Daggerfall. Perhaps they thought they were too cliche? I mean, that's the reason it took until Skyrim for a game to feature Dragons as a main plotpoint.

    I think they shouldn't bring every Creature into a actual Game or Depiction.
    To have such a Description adds to what People would have in the Past, before we had Documentation for Everything, it just triggers your Imagination and brings Wonder into a unknown World.

    • @ceedott
      @ceedott  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree, it does add a bit of a mystical feeling to the world. I think it's still cool to shed some light on things like this, though.

    • @Azuris190
      @Azuris190 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ceedott Yep, there has to be a Balance inbetween :)
      Just as an Example, Hell. Hell is often a abstract Thing, something beyond human Imagination, filled with everything bad and evil, but in Doom Eternal they grounded it by giving it a very mortal Take in the DLC.
      Same with much of the Stuff from Warcraft.
      Until now they managed it pretty well in the Elder Scrolls Series with Daedra, Aedra and overall fantastic Creatures.
      Some Stuff gets explained, some stayed in the dark, unexplainable.

    I absolutely love your video making and editing style! Perfect homage of the older games, down to the music! Please do more! My favorite parts are when you add lots of visual and theoretical context, like how you did with the Ice Tribes. I have a suggestion on technics: I might experiment with your music+voice levels (since that = quality level for the whole vid length), and also doing less fade-outs of the book background might better-define pacing & immerse your message. Anyway the content is great, easy sub!

      Thanks! I’m trying to go over small and really obscure bits of lore that most big channels don’t go over, cause all the major stuff has already been done to death. I’ll try to not use profanity if I can avoid it.

    • @ThommyofThenn

      @@ceedott It just so happens, obscure lore is amongst my favourite types. If I'm seeing it in algorithm, I bet you'll get a ton of new viewers like me. They are also seeking deep lore that's well presented. .
