You should see the awesome work your two boys are doing back home.
They're turning out to be good independent concrete men!

They were both raised on concrete. Nothing new there.

Great job crew 💕👏👍💪 Interesting slope work, Im always interested in how you check elevations when adjusting the grade. Do you check with the laser level grade stick?
PS- My Uncle just got scammed too by the Mango lady at Home Depot. Full case of BAD Mangos

Great work as always. Quite the difference on these properties to the ones in OC/LA. Come back!

Great video. Always quality work. Your son's recent job of wall to wall concrete and major drainage was intense.

How do you decide when to use wire or when to use rebar? What's the benefits of each?

  • @therealdojj

hi david, when you say you are preparing for the pour, at what point do you tell the neighbours that there will be noise and heavy machinery action taking place?
and have you ever encountered "issues" with these folks who might decide to cause and issue or park their vehicles right where you need to be?
    thanks

Different atmosphere here compared to CA.

If the AC and lemon trees were closer. My thoughts would have been to have the condensation line watering them! 😂😂

Dave you gotta try the fiber wire mesh rolls super light super easy to move and cheaper than the steel rolls. You won't be disappointed.

@OdellCompleteConcrete you may have to buy it online. The only store I know who has it is a local concrete store in San Jose California. It looks like a website online has it for $155 dollars.5ft x 150 ft. chasephipps is the website

Hello from the UK. Quick question: Is a house like this considered low or middle-income? I love the variety of properties we see on your jobs.

recently rr buildings are building a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, house and that's considered to be "small"
uk houses are just tiny in comparison

To prevent the wire mesh from possibly rolling back on you, can you just flip it over after you have cut it to length?

👍👍. I bought a bag of oranges from a guy here in my area walking around selling them, they end up being the worst oranges I ever ate and now I don't want to buy anything from anybody out on the road anymore.

I'm surprised that no one seems to use evaporative (swamp) coolers here in the desert, any more. They were everywhere when I was a kid and I always liked them better than refrigerating the whole damn house. They used to be cheaper, too, but I don't know how they stack up against AC in this day and age.
You ever try rolling the fence wire out face down? I mean in the opposite way you normally unroll it. It would probably be a pain in the azz to get it to stay flat, but it wouldn't try to shank you in the back.
