I have already been playing Root and your videos explain it very well. Thanks for it, it makes it so much easier introducing new players to a specific faction.
Well thank you so much! That was quite the project I jumped into there… but if it’s helping people play that awesome game, it was totally worth it! Thanks for the nice comment!
I saw a couple of game understanding videos & honestly all were too tricky to understand before I landed up on this one & honestly now I have a good understanding of the basic play. Hopefuly I would get hold of the factions too with the help of your video on the them.
Hey Tom, a new expansion for this game will be coming out next year with 2 new factions, and to me you're better at explaining how each faction works than most, so when the new expansion releases will you be covering it?
That's the goal! I can't promise how quickly it will happen.... ESPECIALLY with the size of this kind of project.... Like, I will likely need to design the boxes first, then try to re-remember everything (it's been a while since I've been near Root) and remember how I actually prepared and recorded these.... BUT, it is in the plans.
2 questions: do the extra tokens (like wood) need a hit to be removed. And second, does the defender destroy oposing buildings when they do exess damage on the attacker?
Great videos, very informative. Is it possible to play a 3-man game with river folk, corvid and duchy? or with any mix of factions as long as you set up in the right order??
I think that's possible! The rulebook has a great way of showing you how to pick factions for various player counts. It's all based on a points-system.... essentially every faction has a point-value, and to make a 3-player game you aim for a certain point-range.....
Thank you for the video. Very informative and helped me understand the basics. Quick question: When a building is destroyed, does it go back to the faction board and cover the previously open slot? And then be able to gain VP again if they build the same building?
I finally finished my boxes! Thanks for putting them out there and if this quarantine ever ends, I'll definitely be showing those off and sharing your content with the game group when they come over.
Please! Can you make a video like this for the clockwork expansion? The way you explain things is perfect for my brain!

Thank you so much! How did it all go? Did you manage to get the same figured out in time to play it?
Such a gd video for my to learn the game. Explain the rules very clearly. Thank you for your effort:)

Yes and yes.
Thanks Reggie!

Yes it goes back to the player board
Rubbing it in with your pimped out components and storage...nice!
Well, only a little! I mean, I designed and built the storage myself (and it's available for you too!) -- so I have to show that stuff off...
@@TomTeachesGames Those boxes are awesome!
