As a fellow thrifter, if you find skirts where the waistband is a bit too big, I just pull the waistband over itself a little bit and stitch it. That way it sits better and sometimes it also adds a little something to the sides without being super noticeable. ❤️ But this trick is better if the item is only like one size too big or something. ☺️
Edit: I'm pretty sure I have that exact same black vest you saw near the end! I thrifted mine from a Goodwill as well 😂👏🏻

You can also put inside the waistband an elastic! It is the solution for my soft fabric stuff. For the more strong and stiff ones I do stitches on the back.

I wish I could do a video where I stick to looking for a particular aesthetic. I just don’t have the restraint because I would’ve folded and got that green, purple, yellow pastel coogi looking sweater and that cool black vest.

i honestly had no idea that was a thing
