I failed my 4th test yesterday. The driving test has been the worst thing in my life I’ve had to deal with so far. I was just in disbelief and cried all day. I wasn’t ready for my first 2 tests as I didn’t have the best instructor. The last 2 tests I have been more than ready to pass and failed on stupid things with 3 minors. So hard when all your friends pass first time straight away and drive wherever they want whenever they want. Sucks so bad
I know exactly how you feel, it sucks so much 👎🏻 Could you go out with a family member and practice driving the test routes in your area, thats what i did leading up to my 5th test and i think thats what helped me pass!
I am 54 year old and today I passed my driving test after 5 fails please don't give up you will pass

Remember you can’t determine who will be on the road that day and it’s just a tick on a piece of paper,

I completely understand how you feel when you said you were frustrated because you were doing lots of lessons but you kept failing. That's how I feel right now, I've failed 3 times already and I'm so mad!! It's so annoying but we just have to keep going and one day we'll pass. Congrats on passing!
I passed on my fifth test! I went through four instructors until I found the right one for me... when the examiner told me I passed - I started to cry! Haha. I agree with your sentiments, never ever give up! You will pass eventually

Please don't be upset! Just remember to stay calm and focused!
You failed the 4th one because (advice for learners too) when you come up to a junction/roundabout that has 2 lanes going in the same direction. You should take the left hand lane especially as a learner driver, because;
1. It makes it easier for you to exit instead of exiting in the right and then indicating then moving lanes as you would already end up in the left.
2. When you exit in the right it’s considered the “fast lane” or lane to overtake in, so you can’t be going at a regular speed and that’s why you were “undertook”.

Well done for not giving up. It sounds like you had some horrible luck and would have passed on your third for sure if the examiner had gotten out of the right side of the bed that morning.
I’ve failed 3 times and I have to get permission from the state for another try I can drive just fine and follow the rules I just panic and start doing things I wouldn’t normally do such as not using a signal on parallel park
Mr. Tungsten Have you tried using aromatherapy oils or some kalmia/rescue remedy to help relax you slightly! Go into the test knowing you can do it! When driving talk about what you have to do to yourself
Hi, this was a great video which helped me out before I took my test. I passed last week. Your 3rd fail was a joke, that should have been a pass, but it's great you finally passed. Definitely do more of your 'Drive With Me' videos as well! They are really good :)

Thanks very much!! I found it ok being honest. I was lucky to get an examiner who was chatty and asked me things like what I do for a living etc. It made me feel much less nervous that he wasn't all formal with me. I got the one manoeuvre that I was really hoping for... the park on the right, reverse two car lengths and then drive off. I was so pleased to get that one instead of a bay park in the test centre! My only issue was I nearly took the wrong turn on two separate occasions due to me not reading the Sat Nav correctly. He had to actually tell me about it, so I honestly wasn't sure if that meant I'd failed or not haha. But luckily I didn't. I had 4 minors which were probably related to that I bet. Your Drive With Me's are great! I like it when you talk about your driving, any things you are new to doing, etc. I am still yet to drive in the rain believe it or not and I haven't drove at night or on the motorway yet. I'm not avoiding them, it's just not happened yet. I need to get out more for a drive instead of just driving to and from work, which is only a couple of miles from home. Keep up the great vids! :)
evertonian26 I’m glad you found it okay! The pull up on the right was my favourite manoeuvre, I HATE parking, any type of parking and I’d rather not go, yesterday it took me 6 attempts to get in a space because I had to parallel park. Honestly driving at night is so therapeutic, I love it and I also love driving in the rain! I will definitely be filming more drive with me videos as I love filming them x
I live in usa, the driving tests are so hard, Today was my 4th attempt, Failed for the backing up and " too slow to turn, What it sucks is the instructors mood even if you drive good they instructors can fail you if they want to for don't liking you or just because they want to..., 3 tests gave me bad directions and put me wrong for their mistakes, every 3 wrongs you paid $45 dollars, it's so frustrating, now I understand why people risk it driving without license.
there's not video that helps, every dmv take a route different depending where do you live.
I drove alright in my 4th test but also didn’t pass and it was cuz the assessor didn’t see me look at back mirror often and also slow manoeuvre when parking. I think what I did differently on my 5th test was that I listened to the feedback and made sure to be confident and relax while following the rules. When I did the parking again, I didn’t go too slow but not too fast either. It’s like going into a driveway. When u make a minor mistake , just gotta correct it so they know u confident at what u do too. I had my test in Australia and each test cost around $113. Ik currencies are different, and not sure if u are talking about individual test but it seems cheaper than mine :p

I live in Australia and all I can say is thank god our driving test is no where near as difficult as that... we legit just drive around do a parallel park and BOOM you have your license. There’s no like oh show me where this is in your car or read this and tell me what it says
yes the UK driving test is quite possibly the hardest in the world. We don't do things by halves! Statistically we are one of the safest countries to drive in so clearly we're doing something right ;)
I am So Jealous, Maybe I would have passed first time not on my fifth time!😂 Saying that I cant parallel park so perhaps not!!

8 minors I was supper nervous second time
Did both in my own car decided due to money like you said to go with a parent to the test I did and felt more at ease as my parent was there to see me at the end and I passed and before I had change to rip my own L plate off why the examiner did my certificate my mum pealed them off 😂😂😂

I passed on the route you did for your second test, had Dave Evans and was quite surprised that he passed me with one minor as he’s meant to be really strict! One of my friends failed for a similar reason on Tritton Road for your fourth x

And with just one minor thats amazing!! 😱 I think all of the examiners are strict in their own ways but i just try to think of it as they only pass you if they think you're 100% ready so it's good that they are strict but yet also very fustrating haha! Oh no honestly its such a common place to fail!!

It's completely normal to feel scared to drive, I suggest driving round areas you know well just simple quick journeys to get use to your car. Thankyou Lovely!! Honestly try not to stress too much, try to drink plenty of water beforehand, have some chewing gum/ mints at the ready for if you feel anxious or sick before hand!! Were you not scared the first time you drove your car on your own? I passed my test on Friday but haven't had chance to drive my car yet coz I've been ill. It's so different to the one I've learned in so I'm not looking forward to being out on my own. I tried driving it when I first bought it last year and stalled it so many times. I decided not to drive it again until I passed my test because it completely threw me when I was back in my instructors car.
For me personally no because of how much experience I had on the road, the examiners wouldn't have passed you if they didn't think you could drive well enough lovely! It's all about getting used to your clutch and gears in your car, everything else is the same! Try driving your car first with a family member in and build up to being by yourself if you feel anxious about it! Stalling is completely normal and often happens most if you bring your foot of the clutch abit quick or it isn't quite in first gear properly! I promise you that you can do and you just have to believe in yourself! Good luck girly and let me know how you get on 💜
Tasha Louise thank you for your reply. I decided to drive to the test centre and back on my own as I knew the road pretty well. It's a good 30min drive each way and it went ok. When I got there I witnessed a near car crash and a guy got out his car punching and kicking the other car, so I didn't stick around long! I drove again today too, another good 40 mins in really bad weather and did ok. I can't wait till I'm at a level where a drive is just a drive and not a big deal, but I'll keep at it until then. 😊
Im so proud of you for doing that! Honestly it's a huge deal and you should be so proud of yourself! Oh dear that doesn't sound good but as long as you're okay! These things take time and I have good days and bad days with my anxiety and driving, some days I can drive an hour no problem, next day I can't drive 10 minutes without stressing! I will have a drive with me up this week and I will talk about this topic in it! Keep trying and I promise each time it will get easier! Im always here if you need a chat!!

Tasha Louise it’s the new test with the SatNav, and the examiner had the screen facing him and completely out of my view! When questioning it he said I should be listening not looking... but I was used to using the voice as well as the screen. I put a complaint in but still not heard anything, hope they reply😢 thank you for your reply x
just so you're aware, you can raise complaints about your test results BUT they will never amend it. I'd just take it as an experience and move on.
joosiej85 Fully aware, but thank you for letting me know! It’s currently being reviewed atm and I don’t just want to leave it as the behaviour of the examiner was not acceptable, don’t want this happening to anybody else. Not going to let it stop me though!

Tasha - on your 3rd test you put in a compliment due to parking at end of test and your instructors all saw !!! Then why the fuck did none of them grow a pair of balls and say something and dispute it ??? ..... I fully believe you but it make me mad when people stand by and don’t fight in your corner !!!!
Apparently once they have signed the sheet to say you have failed, they can’t go back on their word! So frustrating when learning to drive isn’t cheap! Thankyou for your comment

ALL ABOUT THE SKIN LOVE just thought I’d let you know I passed my test 2nd time today !! No minors ! Same route I had first time ( different examiner) so proves it’s who you get on the day ! But thankyou for sharing your driving test failed attempts video it’s encouraged me to try again after hearing your story !
Failed for third time on Wednesday. I got seven minors one dangerous. The latter because I was going straight on the four lane road. Where I should have singled left or signed right to rejoin traffic.

Honestly they do have some stupid reasonings to fail, I remember I felt so upset each time i failed but you will get there soon!
My only advice is Make sure when you are looking both ways really turn your head an exaggerate your looks as then they cant fail you for it!

Our national speed limits are 40 not 60? Its 60 only on bypass and motorway!!
No, the national speed limit is 60mph for a single carriageway (e.g a country lane) and the national speed limit for a dual carriageway or motorway is 70mph.
Like Lola Said national speed limit is 60mph on single carriageway and 70mph on dual carriageway or motorway!
And 30 on any roads where there's streetlights unless signs state otherwise.
