- So I passed my practical driving test :D So this video just shows some tips on how to pass your practical driving test first time. Hope it's helpful. Peace :)

I am a Driving Instructor and found your video interesting, I teach an all round sweep(observationally) left to right as part of the POM routine then check blind spot again after handbrake off and indicator off/right as appropriate prior to pulling off. On a manoeuvre, I generally don't use mirrors for the observation but just fleetingly got reference of lines(bay park) and kerb(parallel park, left reverse and TIR). Well done on passing first time.
I passed my test on the 4th October a few days ago, got 3 minors aswell thank god it's over! Great tips though man!

I told my examiner, if I pass I'll buy you a brand new car. After driving like a complete idiot he gave me a pass. Unfortunately for him, the car I promised was the size of my hand.

Passed my theory first time, then done a crash course an passed practical test first time too with 6 minors
Theory all depends on how much time you take to practise ,instead of revising I just did mock test after mock test until I passed ,good tip for those of you who are doing your theory test 👍🏻I've got my practical test coming up soon hence why I'm watching this video
Double check is checking your blind spot twice if there is a time length between the last time you checked :) Im just doing my driving lessons passed my theory first time I was happy about was studying it for a few weeks :) so I was happy about that but my last lesson almost had a accendent at a round about I was looking more to the right and I suddenly turned to the right good job I noticed what was happening before it could have gone more serious :) so I need to focus on roundabout mostly other then that I am good

Got my test tomorrow at 12:30am! Watching these videos is actually getting me more nervous for the test but I just can't help myself 😩. I'm sure everything will go smoothly though and I'll pass first time.

I had that too my examiner saying stuff does not matter, said don't worry about Drive ways pulling up. Even though instructor was like never pull up in drives when on lessons.
I have my test next week and this really helped with the nerves 😊😊

I have my test in 7 days! I really do hope I reverse around kerbs correctly and watch out for amber traffic lights and zebra crossings. these are the 3 things I only need to work on
Good luck :) The Zebra crossing and amber lights become second nature, but with the kerb one, just practice if you can and it will be simple (You might not even get it in your test)

I've been driving for about a year to I've iven drove to Liverpool witch is around 2 hours from my city and I still fucking failed twice booked again hopefully I'd pass

Do you have to use hand brakes everytime you stop? Including traffic lights? My teacher says it's not necessary, but I'm scared they would mark that bad in test.
I would personally say no don't use handbrakes every time you stop, if anything, using the handbrake is just more to worry about. Only use it if necessary (like on a hill). What I do at traffic lights is just keep the car in first gear and keep my foot on the footbrake. When the light starts to change, bring the clutch to the bite point. That's how I was taught and the examiner was fine with it. Good luck :)
my exmaniner was so unfriendly. most of videos says i can take time to correct when reversing round the corner but he just so impatient and says lets leave that and drive.then he told me to follow the sign approaching round about and absolutely honest , i wasnt sure which exit i would take .so made mistake approaching round about .I was in wrong lane .then made serious faults 😡

i was doing a reverse park in bunnings (hardware store) and i was counting up the lines and these people walked out in front of me from behind a big landcruiser and so i didnt see them, so initially i stopped and that distraction made me forget which line i was up to so i thought 'ah well ill just try bang it in anyway' and got a lil too close to the car ( I would have made it anyway) but the sensors went off and i could see that i was close so i was about to stop then the accessor intervened and instant fail

Raja Mahmood I was using a sat nav there was two right turns right next to each other I went to take the first one which was the wrong one and the man panicked me and there was traffic lights between the two turns, they turned red and just as I was about to stop he stopped for me and I failed on that, was stupid really other than that I got 3 minors I was driving slightly to close to the car in front and the other two was because didn’t realise the speed was 20max I was going slightly over, apart from that I felt like I did really well.

Did you do ur steering before you did ur manoeuvre? I think it's called dry steering. If so can u get a minor for it?
My experience with dry steering was that my mum always told me not to do it because it ruined the tires and I never, but under test conditions, if you need to do it, it's completely fine - it will only be a minor if you continuously dry steer and if you can hear it getting ruined. So it's more just about not damaging the instructor's car. Hope that helps :)

My test was at 1:30pm, so I had an hour lesson before which started at 12:30 :)

My point is if you arnt clever in school, but you put the work in, you can do better than people that are smart. My brother nearly got into oxford and I’m doing a BTEC at 6th form, yet I done better than him😂 hard work beats intelligence
Yeah I agree cause I think there's a difference between academic intelligence and logical intelligence. You obviously have logical intelligence whereas your brother has academic intelligence. I'm the same and like I said - the conditions this video were shot in just meant I wasn't really thinking about what I was saying so I may have said things that sound wrong. I disagree that it's a reason for people not to listen to me though. I'm just sharing my experience.

If you don't mind me asking, what test centre did you do it at?
I did my test at West Wickham Test Centre. It's known to be quite a hard area because of the amount of roundabouts and hills, I don't know if it's very well known though xD

martinnmartin Yeah Croydon is known to be hard because of the traffic and complicated roads but hopefully that means you don't get any hard manoeuvres. Good luck :)

Don't be worried, if you DO get reverse round a corner, remember you are aloud to start again though you may get minors for it. Good luck :)

failed 3 times already since March this year got my 4th test on Tuesday everytime a got 4 minors or 3 and one stupid serious man I can drive great av got my own car and everything it's just the nerves man getting for the last 3 times 😢
Damn man, are you in a hard area or is it just the nerves? Because what you should do is go out in your car with an experienced driver with the 'L' plates on and just keep doing practices of the test. Like try and remember what you done in the test and do that same route, that's one of the things I done. And with nerves, chew some gum or just talk to the test instructor as much as you can before the test so you start to feel comfortable

If you start a manoeuvre, can you stop mid way and ask to start again?
Yeah you're aloud to stop and correct yourself and adjust but you don't need to ask. But if you take too long and keep adjusting yourself to0 many times they will give you a minor. Good luck :)

deen cluad No problem man :) And yeah unfortunately they're really strict with speed limits - they will only let you off like 1 or 2 over the limit but you will only get minors. My test instructor gave me a minor of going a bit too fast so watch out for that.

Theory doesn’t depend how smart you are. If you do mocks, the same questions that comes up in those mocks, will come up in the test. Altogether I done like 25 mocks, and the last 15 mocks I done, I passed them all. I then went on to get 49/50 for multiple choice in my actually test. Im not smart in school either 😂 I done better than my brother (who got 48/50) and he got A* In his A levels and got a place at Nottingham Uni to PPI (Philosophy politics and economics). Put the work in and you’ll be fine. Don’t listen to this geeza

No, a time stamp for where I told people not to try. I know I said it depends how smart you are. But I wanna see where I said to not put the work in. Because I filmed this video in one take in 30 degrees almost two years ago with no preparation so I may have misspoke at some points. I still think it does depend how smart you are - because revising and going over mock tests increases your intelligence of the subject - which in my opinion means it depends on how smart you are in that sense. I just don't know where I said to not put the work in. Because I'm pretty sure I was advocating exactly that for majority of this vid.
