The Mandalorian is great, but somehow, unexpectedly, Andor became and still is my favourite thing Star Wars has ever done. Both have their place, both approach this vast galaxy from different perspectives with different set pieces of brilliance, and both have a depth to them that other parts of the IP hasn't quite hit, but for some reason Andor just really really sticks with me. It's just mind-blowing how something so simple, without the flash of what we see in The Mandalorian, can still impress and stress you out so deeply.
The first scene had to be my favorite part of the episode, as I thought we were getting the origin of Din Jarin becoming a Mandalorian, but it was such a good fakeout

You can tell this is going to be an adventure of sorts and exploring the rich culture of Mandalore and it's galaxies. I can't believe it we got Nonso Anozie voiced the Pirate King since he is a frequent collaborator of Kenneth Brannagh who directed him in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.

Bro I'm telling you the prosthetic makeup gettup on this guy actually impressed the hell out of me. it looked like that was him, not some rubbery foam suit that bends weird or just doesn't look right. However they went about it, this guy looked amazing.

I saw Bad Batch S2E11 before Mando S3E1 and it served as a great appetizer 😃 Can't wait for you guys to review that b/c it's probably the strongest connection to date re: Star Wars lore!! But getting back to Din & Grogu: Absolutely 🥰 being back on their journey 😃 From battling & blasting a space crocodile, the space whale Rebels easter eggs, getting caught up with just about everyone (even Cara Dune off screen), mowing down & speeding away from pirates and Baby Yoda hugging an Anzellan, I'm so grateful to be back in this Universe 🤩😍👌🏾👍🏾✊🏾
I was a little worried about the episode when they said it was 35 minutes long ngl, but man, while it has a very simple premise, this whole episode just reminded me why I love this show so much. Pretty good start in my opinion! Also, gotta love the little Babu Friks !

I feel like Bo Katan has resigned herself to not being destined to hold The Darksaber. It's come and gone from her too often for her to ignore that maybe it's not her thing. But if Din doesn't want it maybe she knows of a young leader named Sabine who deserves to win it from him in combat.
I have a strong feeling that Mando is going to have to go back to Tatooine and maybe bring Timothy Olyphant's Character back to be the Sheriff of Navarro and also make a offer with Boba Fett to join/tag along with him in returning to Mandalore where we all will get to see Boba Set Foot on Mandalore and maybe Ride a surviving Mythosaur 😎🤞
Nah Cobb is getting his own show based on Tatooine as the leader of the mod squad. One of the mod squad actors leaked that info last year. I have a feeling Bo will end up on Navarro as the sheriff.

You got this up so fast! Thank you :) What a delight to come back to i'm starting to see what Jon Favreau was talking about when he mentioned Game Thrones like story telling years back. Although very light fantasy im definitely starting to feel more scope i think this season is really going to span out a bit. I am already dying to see what comes next and wow i didnt see those Purrgil coming just wow beautiful scene.
The evolution of characters, story and fanservice in each season of this show is impressive! Gorian Shard is the worst bad looking pirate leader ever and G11 self destruction protocols is the worst self destruction protocol ever. Outside that, this was one of the best episodes of this show! LoL It would be really cool if they created a Special Forces series with Cara Dunne, even if it was with another actress! Something like Republic Commando, with her as part of a team that hunt down remnants of the empire... I think something like that would be awesome and if a series like this received the same level of dedication that they give to The Mandalorian, it would be just as good, if not better!
Mandalorian is the ONLY show i watch, where my eyes are glued to the screen afterwards to see who directed the episodes. Great season opener and Rick Famuyiwa hit All the marks. You can see that dream team Favreu put together improve - with every outing.
Fun feel good Star Wars is back. Always look forward to your reactions. I love Din and Grogu. This show is just good clean fun. I can watch with the whole family which I love. My daughter was bored by Andor but loves Grogu and his hijinx
I was SO impressed with the CGI The planets, aliens and creatures all looked very realistic. In fact, the CGI Techs on the Mando Show need to hold a Master Class for the Marvel folks. Like yesterday!!
Great start to the season imo. Was worried about the runtime but it didnt disappoint. I do hope the rest of the episodes are a little longer tho, but still a really good start! Also side note, could we expect a "Knock at the cabin" reaction from you two?? I mean all I have to say is its an M. Night movie which by itself warrants a reaction lmaoo.
I'm so glad to see Din Djarin and Grogu together again. I hope to see them in the fourth season. PS: when we'll see the episode with the Grogu's flashback about the order 66, I want to know who saved Grogu during the purge (the Jedi purge, not the Mandalorian purge, to be clear), I don't want to wait a year to find out how and who saved him.
The Mandalorian is back! I loved this episode so much! It was so great to finally be able to watch a new episode of this show again. I felt like everything about it was just so amazing in every aspect. The the story, the writing, the action and the interactions between some of the characters made this episode just so amazing. I also loved the score for this episode, it gave us both that classic Mandalorian theme that we love and some new themes, some of which gave off this mystical feel. And the set designs and locations were so amazing. They each felt so different in their own way. And although we saw it for the least amount of time, I loved the look of Kalevala (the planet Bo-Katan was on) it was super beautiful, and I really hope that we get to see more of it in the future. And you know what, despite what people say, I loved being able to see Mando with Grogu again. Every scene the two of them are together is so perfect and I just love getting to see them interact more. I loved all the scenes with the Armorer, whether it be when she is doing the ceremony for the new Mandalorian/Child of the Watch or her whole discussion with Din. I really liked the opening fight with that Alligator monster, not only did I just like the creature’s design, but it was so awesome to see this many Mandalorians fighting together in live action. And oh my God, I know we all saw them, the Purrgil are here. Although all we saw was their silhouettes, this was technically their live action debut, which is most likely setting up for them to appear in the Ahsoka show, along with Ezra. It was also really cool to see Nevarro again especially with how nice and prosperous it has become. And getting to have Greef Karga back was really great and I loved every scene he was in and all his interactions with Mando. And I love the idea of bringing IG-11 back, I really hope that at some point during the season they are able to have him on the team again. It was so fun to see some Anzellans in this show. I loved the way they talked to Din and how Grogu just wanted to hug them. And it was really cool to get to see Mando finally have a space battle in his new Modified N-1 Starfighter. I thought that whole scene was really cool and the space battle was very well choreographed. A little side note here, I loved the design of the Pirate King. His look and coloring gave off a very original trilogy Star Wars/comic book character (probably because he looks like Man Think) feel. And I loved everything about that Bo-Katan scene at the end, I felt like everything about it was perfect. I really just loved this episode so much. It was so amazing in every aspect and served as both a action packed thriller and as a fantastic way to bring the show back and give us a hint at the overall storylines of this new season. I am super curious to see where the rest of the story will lead the Mandalorian and Grogu and what will happen in next week’s episode. This is the Way

The pirates will take Navarro. Din's assault to retake it with the other Mandalorians (from the promos)will probably happen after he cleanses himself and recruits help from the Armorers group.
Absolutely loved the 1St episode of season 3. Nice to see IG11 back, even if he went all pet cemetery on grogu lol, can't wait to see your reaction videos over this seasons show,
We already saw a young Din being rescued during the clone wars by Death Watch so I guess people who thought this was young Din must’ve forgot that scene and that he looked very different 😂
A good villain is some one that has lost it all. They are alone and drift into that empty spot and lash out to those who contributed to the loss... Including . Sabine.. I would love to see Bo go after everyone from her despair ..
Omg, this is the best thing Disney did in the last 2 years. I was hooked into the story. And when it ended I was like: Already? I havent experienced such a vibe since season 2 of Mandalorian. I really like how the town is being improved in some ways. I also like how Mando is teaching Baby Yoda some stuff and we see how the child is playing with the force after training with Luke. They explained the goal for this season so clearly, it's simple. I'm excited to see more because it gives me simple but detailed vibes as Andor did.
She can't see it. To her, Death Watch was the WAY. Until Maul took it over and "corrupted" the pure warrior "spirit". "There are none so blind than those who will not see."
The IG droid will most likely be used just as a more convenient means for Grogu to get around, so it will probably be rebuilt/repurposed in a certain way so as to be capable of carrying Grogu around the inside of it so that he can more easily get around/keep up with the Mando, and additionally as armored protection against outside threats…plus most importantly it will also surely be built in with some sort air purification filtering system to protect him against the toxic elements on/beneath the surface of Mandalore…basically like a highly customized mecha suit of sorts. So if they do it like this, then I might not have anything against that then, and who knows 🤷♂️ it might actually be pretty cool to see! As for Mando, on the other hand, I’m not so sure what precautions he himself will take to further protect his body from deadly environmental conditions of the planet. I guess we shall find out soon enough…🤖🦾
You know, I actually really enjoyed seeing more pirates in Star Wars aside from just Hondo. Hondo's great, but he's definitely not the kind of ruthless pirate lord that this new guy is, and I like the idea of that kind of pirate but in space.
Now if we go back and watch the season 3 trailer, we can tell for sure that the Mandalorian covert goes back to Navarro with Djin and battles the pirates. We also know that Bo’s castle comes under attack by air. The trailer takes on whole new meaning now.

I love how every premiere episode of The Mandalorian has had Mando face some kind of monster😄. Season 1 was the ice monster chasing his ship as he was collecting a bounty🧊. Season 2 was helping Con Vanth kill the Krayt Dragon terrorizing the town🐲🐉. And Season 3 is this giant crocodile🐊 But, as cool as the battle against the crocodile was. How the hell do they not know that croc lives in that lake? It could’ve killed all of them (including the younglings) if Mando didn’t swoop in and save the day👀🐸☕️

It is 5am here in NYC & I couldn’t sleep - I waited to watch this at 3am!! Too excited - I really thought 5 minutes into the show was a flashback! Then you see Mando’s ship & saving the day - they land & Grogu is like Hi!!! Love it!!! Thank you for explaining the Space Whales during light speed I freaked out a bit! I think he can only see them! What a start! 👍🏼😍
You guys mentioned William shatner. Fun story, I was walking through a grocery store parking lot in my hometown Lexington KY where he also lives. He almost ran me over in his Escalade and I flipped him off. Then I realized lol
I really love this show and this was a good season opener, but man did they have some serious plot holes in this episode. Between the kid at the beginning of the episode with the long hair that some how seems to create a seal when he puts on the helmet even though we can see the hair still coming out (they should have shaved his head). Or Mando's crazy obsession with IG-11 when he probably could have just gone and found a new IG droid. He did say he was going to find the memory component so that he could have IG-11 help him explore Mandalore but yet by the end of the episode it seems like he forgot about that and is just going to Mandalore. Sometimes you just have to suspend disbelief to just go with the flow.
18:30 More accurately, I think Gorian Shard is supposed to be inspired by the zombified Captain LeChuck from Lucasfilm's own Monkey Island games (seriously, their similarities, even up to their voices, are almost uncanny!).
Scene with the Mandalorians fighting the monster and Grogu looking at purgils in the hyperspace were the highlights for me,great start of the new season :)
I guess to compensate for the show with Cara Dune's "Out-Excuse" from the series for her actress, we're getting IG-11 back!!!! (albeit a sidenote question that I am bit curious about though is if IG-11 does get restored, how exactly is IG-11 going to fit inside Mando's starfighter??? {Unless there's like a storage trailer he can attach on} Because at least we somewhat do know from the S3 trailer that R5-D4 might be going with Mando too since he was in his ship's droid port). Also, I'm not gonna lie: did anyone else possibly feel a slight "antagonist vibe" off of Bo at that end scene???

A great start to the season, short but action packed!
Laughed hard after listening to all the pre-release interviews and it was “This season is all about Din, Grogu and the fight for Mandalore” then less than 10 minutes into the 1st episode “Whales? Oh crap! Ezra! Thrawn!…Rebels!”
They gotta put cameos, references, and fan service of course. How else are you gonna tell a proper story
They're part of the universe, it's not like those characters actually showed up. THAT would be an issue.

You got this up so fast! Thank you :) What a delight to come back to i'm starting to see what Jon Favreau was talking about when he mentioned Game Thrones like story telling years back. Although very light fantasy im definitely starting to feel more scope i think this season is really going to span out a bit. I am already dying to see what comes next and wow i didnt see those Purrgil coming just wow beautiful scene.

The evolution of characters, story and fanservice in each season of this show is impressive! Gorian Shard is the worst bad looking pirate leader ever and G11 self destruction protocols is the worst self destruction protocol ever. Outside that, this was one of the best episodes of this show! LoL
It would be really cool if they created a Special Forces series with Cara Dunne, even if it was with another actress! Something like Republic Commando, with her as part of a team that hunt down remnants of the empire... I think something like that would be awesome and if a series like this received the same level of dedication that they give to The Mandalorian, it would be just as good, if not better!
I appreciate the mention of Cara Dune. She's still one of my fave characters in this show

Mandalorian is the ONLY show i watch, where my eyes are glued to the screen afterwards to see who directed the episodes. Great season opener and Rick Famuyiwa hit All the marks. You can see that dream team Favreu put together improve - with every outing.

Fun feel good Star Wars is back. Always look forward to your reactions. I love Din and Grogu. This show is just good clean fun. I can watch with the whole family which I love. My daughter was bored by Andor but loves Grogu and his hijinx
I was SO impressed with the CGI The planets, aliens and creatures all looked very realistic. In fact, the CGI Techs on the Mando Show need to hold a Master Class for the Marvel folks. Like yesterday!!

Great start to the season imo. Was worried about the runtime but it didnt disappoint. I do hope the rest of the episodes are a little longer tho, but still a really good start!
Also side note, could we expect a "Knock at the cabin" reaction from you two?? I mean all I have to say is its an M. Night movie which by itself warrants a reaction lmaoo.

PS: when we'll see the episode with the Grogu's flashback about the order 66, I want to know who saved Grogu during the purge (the Jedi purge, not the Mandalorian purge, to be clear), I don't want to wait a year to find out how and who saved him.
The Mandalorian is back! I loved this episode so much! It was so great to finally be able to watch a new episode of this show again. I felt like everything about it was just so amazing in every aspect. The the story, the writing, the action and the interactions between some of the characters made this episode just so amazing. I also loved the score for this episode, it gave us both that classic Mandalorian theme that we love and some new themes, some of which gave off this mystical feel. And the set designs and locations were so amazing. They each felt so different in their own way. And although we saw it for the least amount of time, I loved the look of Kalevala (the planet Bo-Katan was on) it was super beautiful, and I really hope that we get to see more of it in the future. And you know what, despite what people say, I loved being able to see Mando with Grogu again. Every scene the two of them are together is so perfect and I just love getting to see them interact more. I loved all the scenes with the Armorer, whether it be when she is doing the ceremony for the new Mandalorian/Child of the Watch or her whole discussion with Din.
I really liked the opening fight with that Alligator monster, not only did I just like the creature’s design, but it was so awesome to see this many Mandalorians fighting together in live action. And oh my God, I know we all saw them, the Purrgil are here. Although all we saw was their silhouettes, this was technically their live action debut, which is most likely setting up for them to appear in the Ahsoka show, along with Ezra.
It was also really cool to see Nevarro again especially with how nice and prosperous it has become. And getting to have Greef Karga back was really great and I loved every scene he was in and all his interactions with Mando. And I love the idea of bringing IG-11 back, I really hope that at some point during the season they are able to have him on the team again. It was so fun to see some Anzellans in this show. I loved the way they talked to Din and how Grogu just wanted to hug them.
And it was really cool to get to see Mando finally have a space battle in his new Modified N-1 Starfighter. I thought that whole scene was really cool and the space battle was very well choreographed. A little side note here, I loved the design of the Pirate King. His look and coloring gave off a very original trilogy Star Wars/comic book character (probably because he looks like Man Think) feel. And I loved everything about that Bo-Katan scene at the end, I felt like everything about it was perfect. I really just loved this episode so much. It was so amazing in every aspect and served as both a action packed thriller and as a fantastic way to bring the show back and give us a hint at the overall storylines of this new season. I am super curious to see where the rest of the story will lead the Mandalorian and Grogu and what will happen in next week’s episode.

The pirates will take Navarro. Din's assault to retake it with the other Mandalorians (from the promos)will probably happen after he cleanses himself and recruits help from the Armorers group.

Omg, this is the best thing Disney did in the last 2 years. I was hooked into the story. And when it ended I was like: Already? I havent experienced such a vibe since season 2 of Mandalorian.
I really like how the town is being improved in some ways. I also like how Mando is teaching Baby Yoda some stuff and we see how the child is playing with the force after training with Luke. They explained the goal for this season so clearly, it's simple. I'm excited to see more because it gives me simple but detailed vibes as Andor did.

There are times that I wish Din knew all about Bo Katan's lurid past because she is anything but blameless in the fall of Mandalor.
She can't see it.
To her, Death Watch was the WAY. Until Maul took it over and "corrupted" the pure warrior "spirit".

The IG droid will most likely be used just as a more convenient means for Grogu to get around, so it will probably be rebuilt/repurposed in a certain way so as to be capable of carrying Grogu around the inside of it so that he can more easily get around/keep up with the Mando, and additionally as armored protection against outside threats…plus most importantly it will also surely
be built in with some sort air purification filtering system to protect him against the toxic elements on/beneath the surface of Mandalore…basically like a highly customized mecha suit of sorts. So if they do it like this, then I might not have anything against that then, and who knows 🤷♂️ it might actually be pretty cool to see! As for Mando, on the other hand, I’m not so sure what precautions he himself will take to further protect his body from deadly environmental conditions of the planet. I guess we shall find out soon enough…🤖🦾

You know, I actually really enjoyed seeing more pirates in Star Wars aside from just Hondo. Hondo's great, but he's definitely not the kind of ruthless pirate lord that this new guy is, and I like the idea of that kind of pirate but in space.

I love how every premiere episode of The Mandalorian has had Mando face some kind of monster😄. Season 1 was the ice monster chasing his ship as he was collecting a bounty🧊. Season 2 was helping Con Vanth kill the Krayt Dragon terrorizing the town🐲🐉. And Season 3 is this giant crocodile🐊
But, as cool as the battle against the crocodile was. How the hell do they not know that croc lives in that lake? It could’ve killed all of them (including the younglings) if Mando didn’t swoop in and save the day👀🐸☕️

It is 5am here in NYC & I couldn’t sleep - I waited to watch this at 3am!! Too excited - I really thought 5 minutes into the show was a flashback! Then you see Mando’s ship & saving the day - they land & Grogu is like Hi!!! Love it!!! Thank you for explaining the Space Whales during light speed I freaked out a bit! I think he can only see them! What a start! 👍🏼😍

I really love this show and this was a good season opener, but man did they have some serious plot holes in this episode. Between the kid at the beginning of the episode with the long hair that some how seems to create a seal when he puts on the helmet even though we can see the hair still coming out (they should have shaved his head). Or Mando's crazy obsession with IG-11 when he probably could have just gone and found a new IG droid. He did say he was going to find the memory component so that he could have IG-11 help him explore Mandalore but yet by the end of the episode it seems like he forgot about that and is just going to Mandalore. Sometimes you just have to suspend disbelief to just go with the flow.
Mando's gonna get that Pirate Ship.

I guess to compensate for the show with Cara Dune's "Out-Excuse" from the series for her actress, we're getting IG-11 back!!!! (albeit a sidenote question that I am bit curious about though is if IG-11 does get restored, how exactly is IG-11 going to fit inside Mando's starfighter??? {Unless there's like a storage trailer he can attach on} Because at least we somewhat do know from the S3 trailer that R5-D4 might be going with Mando too since he was in his ship's droid port). Also, I'm not gonna lie: did anyone else possibly feel a slight "antagonist vibe" off of Bo at that end scene???
