and if you boost the torchwood, the damage can go up to 2970!
(110 × 3 [pea-vine boost] × 3 [boosted torchwood boost] × 3 [pea-vine boost on torchwood], yes it's multiplicative), and that's still not counting appease-mint boost and arena buffs!
i got a mod apk so i have unlimited coins and gems, i bought so many pinatas, i have a mastery 45 repeater, i add lvl 4 peavine, i add lvl 2 torchwood, i plantfood torchwood, i add peavine to torchwood, i use tile turnip on repeaters, i use one plant food, i am....... THE AMERICAN PLANTER!

TLDR: Would you actually use Threepeater over melon pult? Or even winter melon?
Primal Pea's problem is RNG mostly. but Threepeater is consistent. I saw a video where ZackScott (shoutouts) told everyone the way he was staying consistently high in Arena was to just spam threepeaters and Torchwood and he was getting excellent results. The DPS of primal is really low and the blover strat with it is again RNG based so consistent boosted DPS wins out.
@@KhajaSodhu You're talking big game, but DPS is more important than single damage output. The reason why people use threepeater over melonpult is because melonpult takes twice as long PER PROJECTILE to hit the enemy. By your logic a row of citrons would be top tier and it's literally the worst plant in the game. XD
threepeaters firing every second means every buff multiplies the DPS by 4 per second. Primal peashooter fires at a far slower rate, which multipliciatively means you're hitting zombies at a slower rate. So imagine you hit a regular zombie that's about to die with that amazing 8x damage of the burning primal pea shooter... well you just wasted all that excess damage and still have to wait for it to fire again antoher like 2 seconds or so. While threepeater is doing 4 damage each, it managed to already start damaging the zombie behind it. and that's not including the ones on each side and the further stacking from threepeaters on each side. literally 12x damage per tile per second, while Primal caps at ...like 4x per second and wastes damage potential due to less projectiles.
I get your excited, but please PLAY the game and try these things out before talking big game like this. Different strategies for different modes but there's valid reasons why some plants are more often used than others. DAMAGE PER SECOND
@@MarioMastar Primal pea is mostly good in adventure. It falls off in area, and penny's pursuit.
My list
12-PEA Vine. it's ridiculously powerful. Now you might be thinking " but if it's so powerful shouldn't it be 1st place" It's not just powerful IT RUINS ANY AND EVERY STRATEGY IN ARENA.
11-Mega Gatling pea. Same as pea vine just not as bad
10- peashooter. I think split pea is better. Base peashooter plant food
9- Split pea. There's more use cases than peashooter. Much better plant food effect
8-Pea pod- Eh. Just use repeater. Worse plant Food than repeater as well.
7-Threepeater. Not as good as repeater. Better plant food effect though
6-Repeater. Worse than fire pea but not that much worse. Shoots out a big pea which is cool.
5-Fire pea. Not particularly great, just buy something else for 100 gems. Has a really good plant food effect though.
4-Goo peashooter. It has poison which ignores armour which is pretty good. Also a pretty good plant food effect
3-Snow Pea. Not as good as shadow pea or electric pea as it has to be leveled to be better than them. Not a good plant food effect as well.
2-Shadow pea. Only good when powered with moonflower but it is REALLY good when powered with moonflower. Has a complicated plant food effect
1-Electric pea. It's like laser bean but better and more awesome. Does have a really bad plant food effect , but the plant itself is good enough to be 1st place.

I agree that fire pea needs a buff (higher napalm/plasma chance and higher damage with slight splash damage) but i feel like it still should be higher in this list.

@@DJ_Wolfy5 No you're right where you ranked it. The fact that it doesn't get buffed by Torchwood (or Appeasement and Pea vine) significantly make it worse than Repeator. Plus Repeator's second pea won't overkill a zombie so you get more DPS out of it. It's mostly FIre peashooter is the most useful plant in Frostbite caves (at least before they FINALLY buffed snapdragon to be a proper fire plant with warming and freeze immunity, which heavily nerfed Fire pea as it's gemium). Outside of that and a really cool looking plant food, Fire peashooter really can't say it stands above the other pea shooters. But it has it's niche. Shame too cause I too love Fire peashooter, but I also love Red Stinger's design and it's also a pretty low power plant.

The level 7 Fire Pea projectile animations has a scorching tile, so it supposed to deal area damage.Agreed

I don't even think I need to explain this, he's so utterly outclassed by every other plant in the game.
Split Pea - D
Only useful in wild west, jurassic marsh and vasebreaker.
Pea pod - D
It's just a waste of sun. Only useful in conveyor belt levels.
Threepeater - C
For a 300 sun cost plant melon pult is a better option.
Repeater - B
A better peashooter, but still outclassed.
Electric Peashooter - A
Great piercing plant.
Snow Pea - S
Great chill and freeze effect.
Primal Peashooter - S
Great stalling and knockback plant.
Fire Peashooter - S
Great damage, warm ability, fast recharge, plant food, and somehow cheaper than repeater.
Meg Gatling Pea - S+
Shoots multiple peas at a time and can plant food itself, absolutely insane. There was one youtuber who scored 50M on an arena match with this plant, pea vine and torchwood ( possibly be a new guinness world record)
Pea Vine - S+
Great boost plant for a cheap sun cost, need I say more.

The shadow peashooter is just a scaredy shroom that also acts as a tangle kelp on land,and when powered, it's essentially a laser bean with the effect of stallia.

Snow pea is an investment pay to win plant tbh amongst all the paid plants I had so far snow pea was the best investment mine is level 7 currently and is so viable for stalling tankier zombies in very hard penny pursuit levels
Actually, 1:21 split pea is an enhanced version of Peashooter cuz they have the same sun cost but one can shoot from the back and the other can’t
as much as that's a shame, since it's my favorite plant, I agree that Peapod is actually just decent at best in PVZ2, smh
even jester and excavator can still be countered with a torchwood if you see it coming and dont have space to bring instas.

Fire pea’s dps is slightly lower than pea vine alone, meaning fire pea’s actually pretty strong plant
I actually really like shadow peashooter. He's the best shadow plant imo. If I'm not using MGP spam in area, I'm using shadow peashooter lol.
I genuinely feel like Electric Peashooter should be higher. The damage they do is absolutely insane, even without any synergy.
It's really really good.
It's lacking of DPS, but the peavine can just provide a lot of damage (Even those they can't boost tho they deal 330 damage per shot at max level with multiplier)

i swear lvl 5 normal peashooter is my favourit combo with torch wood. it can dominate gargantuars and pretty much anything

Anyway here's my ranking
1. Shadow peashooter (S tier)
Have good damage output and good crowd control. Also act like a mini grimrose when zombie are close, overall i love this guy and his synergy with moonflower and gloom-vine..
2.pea vine (S tier)
Really good synergy, i love synergy, especially with appeasement-mint family, i just wish it can boost other peashooter like base shadow or snow pea, and the fact that it cant boost sling pea is just....
3. Snap pea(A tier)
Yes im counting this fella. Instakill any zombie other than garg and mech and shoot their head after chewing? Yeah its gonna be high.. also have an attack that shoot peashooter to non-eatable foe, i forgot how much pea, but it definitely is welcome because of its ability to stop zombie when shot
4. Mega Gatling pea(A tier)
The definition of unbalanced, at least its not pea vine level, although that mint boost is unforgivable, always pf when boosted by mint is op
5. Snow pea (A tier)
The same as video.. op stalling and decent slowdown for like twice the cost of regular peashooter? I'll buy all your stock. Its really sad the fact that its a paid plant..
6. Fire pea(A tier)
Plasma pea is cool, but its not like it combo well with other plants
7. Sling pea (A tier)
Yes, im also counting this fella. Ability to attack all zombie in all lane is strong, but it has slow cooldown attack, im sorry my favorite pea plant😢
8. Pea pod (B tier)
Kinda an investment, and one excavator is enough to make me cry all day
9. Split pea
Isnt bad for stronger but slower zombie like garg, since its a cheaper repeater but reversed
10. Repeater
Repeater only good in adventure, and that is before lost city, because its worse than robotaga, there is almost no reason to use him.
11. Goo, three, electric
Tie. goo is good for armored, but not for non-armored. electric is good at crowd control, but bad pf. Three has amazing pf but it's really expensive for it
12. peashooter
Just bad damage output. If you're still using this guy after unlocking repeater you better reevaluate yourself💀

A max pea pod is a more expensive mega gatling pea. So until you get mega gatling pea, pea pod does the most damage per a space on its own

When you were talking about shadow pea shooter, you forgot when a zombie is close to it, it will hide in the ground and when a zombie steps on him he drags the zombie down and kills it. It works against basic zombies, cone head zombies, bucket head zombies etc anything bigger like mechs and gargs it cannot drag it and kill it

fire peashooter shoots slightly faster than repeater, has an plant food that damages all the zombies in the line, can heat up plants around him (or her idk gender in pvz are confusing), costs less sun than putting torcheood and peashooter togheter, and that aldo means you only have to level up one plant instead of two. there is no reason to put fire peashooter below repeater
Fun fact: when you put plant food on mega gatling pea, the star on the helmet becomes 3 instead of 1.

Peavine costing 200 and MGPea costing 350 and ccosting 50 more per planting could be an idea. They're still very powerful but you need to be more careful when spamming

I love Mega Gatling Pea, I like it being 2nd place in your opinion or the community. And peavine I agree is OP. And combined with Mega Gatling Pea, Torchwood and with the Appease mint boost, man literally almost deletes every zombie in the lane, unless the arena makes appease plants not very effective or does no damage to zombies. I agree with this tier list.

IMO, Fire peashooter ranks higher since its basically a fusion between peashooter and torchwood so not only do you save some sun but space as well and like you said, OP plant food ability

The only bad thing about shadow pea and goo pea is their abysmal damage increase with each level upgrade (compared to the likes of Fila-mint and Ice-shroom upgrades....)
That is true, 5 damage is half of what the others are getting...
Shadow Pea also relies on shadow plants and while they do synergize well with Dusk lobber... they kind of compete with her as well for lawn space. and Goo pea gets walled by the front most zombie so the poison doesn't spread too well.

fact: pea vine can 2 shoot gargantuar zombie with torch wood but pea vine must be level 20 or higher (200 mastery) and if the gargantuar zombie the gladiator one it need more than 2 shoot
Saying fire pea is worse than repeater for having less synergy is kinda dumb, as you later mention that repeater only really has synergy with torchwood, which costs 375 total compared to two fire peas with are 350 total along with one less seed slot and the same amount of spaces taken up. Fire pea also synergies with herself as she can occasionally shoot a blue fire pea if shot at the same time with another one. Either way the videos good

I use pumpkin and split pea putting both on the same field when a zombie thats usually tanky except gargs. Is perfectly in the middle of a tile but even then its way too restrictive.😅

It is mostly based off level 1, just the footage is not level one, because my plants are leveled up.
In some instances I do mention leveling though.

(If you care anyway🤭)I played this game for a long time, four years and never spent money. I somehow got my mega Gatling pea to level five and I can approve your ranking. People stopped creating fun tier list vids nowadays and these videos actually made me look back on the TH-cam side of pvz.
@@Kvill13 PvZ on TH-cam is pretty lacking. Some other good ones are Creeps20 (makes video essays) and ZackScottGames (makes so much gameplay, has done more than 2K videos on PvZ across his channel)

I hate when cactus was buffed but split pea wasn't I don't know maybe the people that made PvZ 2 can actually make us flip split pea around somehow like if we touch him he'll flip around and I don't know does anything else just buff my boy split pea he needs some love

The worst part is that prospector zombies are a joke because front-shooting plants can still hit and kill them when placed at the 1st column, making split pea's usage even more obsolete
They really should've added more zombies that come from behind. Split pea does have a useful niche in Jurassic marsh though so it really shines there. But it's easy to forget it exists....which is a shame cause it literally is the answer to pterodactyls.

Snap pea would be low, peanut is lower end but still useful in some cases, and sling pea is about the same as peanut. All super mid plants.

I disagree with the split pea take. Sure most of the time it is just a more expensive peashooter however it has more uses like
-The plant food. You get more than DOUBLE the damage when used correctly
- If a zombie is far into the lawn. Just plop down split pea and ya good
- If there's a really tanky zombie, you could use split pea and a wall plant for 175 sun instead of 200 sun. Plus you're getting the damage of a peashooter from the front

@@DJ_Wolfy5 So do you still think split pea is worse than regular peashooter? I actually don't use split pea that much but I still think it's better than peashooter. Also for the 3rd point, the repeater would also need an extra 50 sun for the wall nut, so it would be 250 sun instead of 175 sun. Thanks for replying
