Awesome video dude. I fall in and out of GC1 because of lack of consistency, but knowing how to position correctly and when to control the ball is really important. Great tips that I will definitely be using in my ranked matches. It is so hard to compare from your own gameplay though since what you believe you are doing is correct but overall great video!

Most GC's speedflip on kickoff, but somehow i just got m8 that doesn't flip on kickoff at all.
Every kickoff was a hard loss.

@@rlcoachshazanwichUntrue, I've gotten GC1 since S6. I do not flip in my kickoff I understand its hindering me but I just have not tried to learn it, I will speedflip around the map but flipping during kickoffs is a no go for me. I have only solo queued and have 1800 hours, we exist.
@@ThePsychoSun It was meant to be slight sarcasm. I have GC1 friends who don’t speedflip on kickoff and are still great players.

@@msmit1999 honestly 50/50 for the most part, I learnt to time my 50s well enough and majority of people can’t consistently speed flip to beat me completely

How can you keep momentum without going past back post? One moment you say "stay back post. stay right here." then the next moment "don't stop at net keep your momentum". I'm very confused by this.
What I’m saying is, any time you are not deliberately planting your car still on your back post. You should be trying to move around and get pads/be proactive in the play. But sitting behind back post is a defensive strategy used at all levels of the game to cover 100 percent of a players net.
But this strategy only works if you are completely behind your net facing the side of the field with the ball on it. So if you move past the post, you are now leaving yourself open to weak spots behind you. Therefore, not giving you full coverage of the net.
So everything leading up to the point where you decide to sit your happy bum down behind the post, you should be trying to be productive. In this case he should have been back post sooner, but started rotating late. He should have decided he wanted to get to backpost a long time ago, but slowed down. So yes, the whole point is to “speed up” and then when you get to back post “slow down”.
It’s only after you have utilized the back post’s purpose in helping you defend the net should you leave, reposition , and be productive again.
