TH-cam just recommended your channel to me... I'm always a sucker for subscribing to another Sling Builder. :) I'm over at FirstRivet if you haven't heard of me there. :D Moving the airplane to the airport from my garage this weekend! :D
We are experiencing some very radical changes in the US as far as light sport and experimental aircraft. Mosaic proposed rule change will make light sport unrecognizable. Sling will be able to build their aircraft and sell them as light sport and not experimental 1. Weight will increase from 1320lbs to 3000lbs 2. Speed will go from 120knots to 250knots 3. Constant speed prop 4. Retractable gear 5. Helicopters for light sport 6. Night flying as well 7. Air work for hire 8. Turbine and multi engines allowed 9. Stall speed from 45 knots to 54 knots 10. From two seaters to four seaters allowed.
Thanks! I’m always excited to see the Slings getting built. I’m with TAF, the US distributor of Sling, and I love that Sling is a worldwide phenomenon.
Would you build your own plane if you had the chance? Leave a comment.
Of course
Yes, unfortunately I will not be able to afford.
I' know what you mean.

Hi Maurice. Thanks for watching and your information. I did not know this 👍
That looks fantastic! How do you get the planes down from Floor 1 to the ground once they are built?
Thanks for watching. After construction, the aircraft is lowered with a forklift. After this the wings are mounted.

@EdwardHefter Yes that's Awesome! We are planning to visit the Sling factory in South Africa next year
If I were not 65 and 20 years younger I would seriously consider building a Sling ☹
65 is the new 40 😉
Wow, these aircraft are really amazing.. what is the cost of the high wing?
Thanks for watching. Approximately €350.00 / $385,870
