What do you mean by redux? I have it on ps5 and have one character into the chaos chamber and some others that are at low levels still. I enjoy the game very much.
I got this one on sale from Steam and I was blown away how fun it is. It's gameplay is just enough different from mainline Borderlands games to feel fresh, and the story has some hilarious moments. Torgue blowing up the ocean is one of my favorite moments in all of Borderlands. The endgame is somewhat lacking, but I've never played BL for that anyway. Best $20 I've spent this year.
I just got this at Target for 5.99$ on clearance and it was the last copy left for the ps5 Wonderlands next level edition 😀 as a fan of Borderlands I’m all in on this
I’ve been playing for while now if anyone wants to play and needs help with chaos chamber our want good legendarys drop your shift id so we can play it feels great to help grow this ttwl community
Some people find Tina obnoxious. I can see it, but it doesn't bug me. I thought for sure it was the woman who voiced Radical Ed in Cowboy BeBop at first.
Really love hearing all of your opinions on this game! I totally missed it on release, and only found out about it about a year after it had come out. After burning out on BL3 with only about 50 hours in it, I was excited to change it up with Wonderlands. I've now got about 200 hours in it between playing the vanilla version, and the redux mod, and I'm going to start up a fresh character again now that I saw your video!
As an ARPG enthusiast with no experience in Borderlands, I was recommended this on Steam with a good price on Chaotic Great Edition. Not the best $25 I've invested into gaming, but top 3 for sure. It's my go-to when I need a break from Path of Exile and Grim Dawn. The game-within-a-game concept is hilarious to me; having played a few TTRPG in my time, I feel like the devs really caught the spirit of the tabletop experience, so maybe I appreciate some of the character dialog differently. And Torgue blowing up the ocean is a moment I live for with every new character... I have 9 characters in my roster, and the multi-class skill system* is deep enough I could see myself getting that number up to 20 at some point. (*plus the variety of cool weapons, spells, etc.)
If you're on ps5, only buy the chaotic edition. When it's on sale. 23$ for the game and all dlc. It's honestly a lot of fun. the story is a little weak. Spells are epic, and I really enjoy the character building. Oh, and endgame chaos chambers, imo are a blast.
Absolutely not. I found the normal version for £10 second hand. It's £90-£100+, pre-owned, for the Chaotic Edition on PS5🗿 Can't tell if it's due to maybe having that much DLC with it, or it's rare and somewhat collectable. Seems too pricey to me.
@@nikomint4894i loved that though and especially bc they put so much effort into the maps and areas then you just have to do these little arenas and it gets stale fast. BL2 playthroughs were fun bc the difficulty hikes, enemy changes and mechanic changes you had to adjust to. You had a reason to build optimized builds and test them on hard content. IMO wonderlands would be much better if they did NG+ and made meaningful changes to difficulty, enemies and mechanics. All those locations just feel wasted. When they could have sprinkled those same areas with harder enemies, with a few changes or made a mechanical change like slag was. In BL2 after a while slag was necessary and that made sense bc your had 4 weapons slots and a reason to farm a different type of weapon. Wonderlands didn't have good weapon variety for me, in bL2 so many guns were viable and even elite. Different guns were good for different characters. You got to replay the game with elite builds and not destroy everything bc the difficulty was so high.
In a maybe weird question what game would you select this or Deadlink? i am searching for a cool fun FPS, Deadlink looks really cool but i don’t love the rougelike part.
I've never played Deadlink, but Wonderlands does have an endgame that can be really fun to check out. It's currently on sale on Playstation store if you want to pick it up.
love the game, sadly i didnt love the gameplay(rather just watch the game more then play it myself....maby its just a age thing?) But its a fun game if u like borderlands(even tale from the borderlands)
I swear everybody who thinks Borderlands 2 had good/funny writing need to go back and play it. It does not. Or at least, no, things haven't gotten worse since it. It's all about the same. Yes, Handsome Jack was the best villain, but that doesn't change that all the other dialogue and whatnot is just super hit and miss and always was. Tiny Tina was just as annoying in BL2 as she is now, for instance. People just have nostalgia goggles for BL2, I think because it did so many other things really well. But honestly, the first game is the one that I think has the best and most humorous writing, even though it too is quite hit and miss and just loaded with over the top references which are just the established 'style' for these games, for better and worse.
I think it was good for the time. BL3 just felt like they were trying really hard. I like Tiny Tina in small doses and I hope they tone her down a bit in the sequel.
Even if you're not fully serious, I should add, he's literally right, it can be pronounced two different ways; objectively. In English, it's 'meh-lae', but in American English, it's pronounced 'may-lay'. You're right that it's mispronounced in this video, however, you did split 'yourself' into two separate words. Considering your focus on syntax, it's a bit of a 'pot, meet kettle' scenario. However, it can depend on where you're from too, though. Even if not officially correct, your location can have an effect on pronunciation due to colloquial dialect. This applies to many words. This word is mispronounced to the point I don't think it matters to much of, if any degree.
Wonderlands is my favorite Borderlands game. Goblins n Pirate > Meth Heads and Robots. 😂 I said the same thing about the weaponry. No Bow? No spears or dual swords? There is some lost potential. But it doesn't really bring the game down, it could have just been better. It was developed during the pandemic with limited time and resources compared to BL3, so its amazing. Especially considering the state so many games are released in today. The endgame is kinda meh and the loot bunnies vs farming bosses is a strange shift. And the whole loot luck thing was frustrating.... though I keep reminding people: its not Borderlands. Its a game of D&D in the Borderlands game, DM'd by an insane child. 😂 Its totally different, more queusr focused. There is something there for the god build min/maxxers in the endgame, but its more D&D than Borderlands.... Its dungeon runs. And there is still the 3 raid bosses. Idk... I enjoy the story campaigns in BL games more than anything, I don't farm at all til the story is complete. I play with what RNJesus blesses me with. So the lacking endgame didn't bug me at all. I got to Chaos 10 and got bored, started a new charachter instead.
Hey, you posted this as I'm looking it up.. have a like
(It was posted 3 mins before I found it I'm just watching slowly between playing)
Thanks for watching!
I bought it because I wanted to be able to play it without having to keep the higher levels of PS+
What’s funny is I just finished a wonderlands redux playthrough tonight. I started the day you uploaded the video. Timing is perfect
What do you mean by redux?

@@Islandswampredux is the modded version of wonderlands honestly fixes a lot of the problems he states in the video

I liked that it was a callback to BL2 in the D&D DLC he wanted you to blow up the ocean but then he got sent to the gallows 😭

You can mark things with a star, so it can't be sold. You can also mark them as trash, so they can be sold with one button press at the market.

Good video man. However, my friend my friend there are aaaaabso-loot-ly full melee and magic builds :)
if the endgame was better this would be regarded as the best borderlands game
Maybe if the dlcs weren't terrible
If the dlc are the endgame then yes, but the endgame in the other bl games is just newgame+🙃 chaos chambers are way better in my eyes

Their making a wonderlands sequel that will be bigger then the first game
