July 2019, Mangalore-Karwar Section, Konkan Railway
This is a continuation of Volume 8 but in the return direction from Karwar to Mangaluru, and so I will go with the same description as that video. With rapid electrification on this section, it is only a matter of time before the peaceful diesel section is riddled with wires and soulless electric locos. I hope this series of videos will serve as a nostalgic reminder of more beautiful times.
Track sounds on Konkan Railway are in a league of their own, and I have tried to record sounds at every speed between standstill and 90kph, including station stops and speed restrictions. All videos recorded on board the Karwar-Bengaluru Express (which had an Erode WDM3D) using a GoPro Hero 5 Black and Zoom H1n.

Here is the difference because all videos are recorded in stereo sound 2 channels which create best listening experience so I prefer Dheeraj and your videos mostly are mono records so I skip even if TH-cam play your video after these. And I put dislike on every mono records. We have pair of ear and pair of headphones.

And me. My family would travel from Coimbatore to Anand twice a year, and I loved the sounds and the rocking of the train at night, whether we were in third class on the hard wooden berths, or in first class with AC!

Beautiful Konkan railway and chugging music of WDM3D. Alcos have become a rare breed. Diesels too will become rare on most routes. Such videos are a treasure to fall back on the memories.

Hi Dheeraj, these videos of diesel trains with clackity clack of the coaches running over older rails reminds me of the time when i was 9 yeas old on a train journey from our home in singapore to penang but those times it took 12 hours as we could not afford the express train but it was good the night cool air and when we awoke we were at butterworth station....then onto the penang ferry towards the island of penang. Ahh like 50 years ago !! But it was the sound of the coaches that till now when i work from home i have it playing just to get the day go by.....such was life . thanks for the upload. Thanks. Already mentioned in description. Video shot on a GoPro Hero 5 Black and audio recorded separately on Zoom H1n. I used a mount on the window for some of the shots, handheld for all the others.

Hello Dheeraj, If you start your clips as a train starts ie with engine giving start whistle and then slowly accelerating (& skip initial 20 sec of instrumental music as in this video) it world be perfect and more realistic.
Just a suggestion, otherwise also its mesmerizing.

Thanks, I've already done that in previous videos. There was a bit of spoiled audio in this so I had to compensate for it with music that had the same tone as the video's atmosphere.

5:24 horn sound is blissful
Perfect editing. No sound of air/breeze. Small suggestion is don't edit in such a way that the sound is suddenly vanished. It disturbed my sleep haha

Which mic you used in this video???... There is no air sound at this speed in open...
Zoom H1n. Only camera was outside the window. Mic was just inside the window and it also had a wind filter.
