For the laytency, the Soundcores can be used with an auxiliary cable,so the lag is zero, for those who didn't know and what to use them in gaming The Edifier have a gaming mode with low latency but they do not come with an AUX port,so your choise
I've had the soundcore headphones for well over 5 years now and they STILL work really well! the built quality is really good. and it's great for people with big heads or ears. mic quality is excellent and they get enough to block outside noises . my only complaint is the anc ain't all that. it blocks probably 10% of noises if I'm being generous. but if you just need a well build pair of Bluetooth headphones these are excellent
Hello, I'm from Indonesia, I'm looking for a comparison video for Soundcore and Edifier headphones because the two are very confusing and in my country's video review, no one reviews both for comparison. Thank you, after seeing your video, my choice fell on the Soundcore Q2i, good job bro.
@@alikhanyeraliyev1881 I'm a big Soundcore fan. The Q20i are a decent pair of budget headphones. Fairly comfortable with nice app support. They are blown away by other sets like the Picun F6, Vokalen Hyper Pro, and NUKied A999s. I would put them right in line with the Tozo HT2s.
@@alikhanyeraliyev1881 So, this was actually a gift for my brother-in-law, and he's been loving his SoundCore. I personally really enjoy the Q30, but the Edifier 820 is excellent as well.
Fragility depends on your use. But I’d say the 800 just because of better overall tech. (I still prefer the sound on the q30 though, but that’s purely personal.) Fit might be an issue if you’re on the smaller side, though.
@@NorbReviews a lot of q30s break even if you treat them pretty well. thanks anyway! love that you reply to comments so quickly, +1 subscriber. I'll probably buy the w800bt pro.
I was ready to buy my SoundCore Life Q20 according to the note on amazon, not knowing what it sounded like... Edifier gives me what I wanted, high treble ....
Can you review the Vokalen Hyper Pros? They just released and seem to compete with the Edifier 700s, Picun F6, Tozo H2, etc. Would like to hear ur input on them. Other than that I appreciate ur review!
Thank you for the kind words and for watching! I’ll check them out, but can’t promise a review. (It’s just a time constraint thing for me.) I’ve actually been wanting to do a review of a bunch of sub-$100 headphones because, when it comes to features, I think that’s where the market is most exciting right now. (I think sound will improve in that area eventually, but it’s still got a ways to go. The JBL Tune 710BT (and most likely its follow up, the 720BT) showed that you can have really great sound at under $80.)
@@NorbReviews I agree! No worries. Hopefully in the future tho u could review the Hyper Pros cause I just got mine yesterday and I’m in love with them esp the touch controls. They get so loud it feels like subwoofers on ur ears lol. Prob the best budget ANC headphones imo rn.
Of these? Neither, really. Both have a 3-blob sound. Of ALL wireless headphones? That’s tougher, it probably the Apple AirPods Max when put in Spatial mode and used with an Apple device. (Possibly the Sony XM5 of you use a Reality 360-compatible device.)
Hey Sir, fantastic video there are two models of soundcore q20i headphones you can check them out. But here, I have concern that one model has "soundcore" written (headphone in the video) and second model has soundcore logo. Logo model is expensive than this. Are they same or logo model is updated version of q20i?
Hmm. I haven’t seen the Q20i with “Soundcore” on the side, just the logo. The ones I’ve seen with “Soundcore” are the Q20 and the Q20+, I’d go for the one with the logo. But first make sure they’re not actually different models! Best of luck.
Make sure to buy the q20i version. It's an upgraded version. It already has type c and transparency. Tho can't expect much about that feature at this price range. I also have the q45 and the only difference with q20i is the build quality. Maybe 5% higher anc and transparency but it also has a bigger cup so I think that affects the seal a little better.
I haven’t tried the Q20i enough to know if there was a substantial difference between that and the Q20, which I did test. They both let voices cut through, though: Above 500Hz, it starts being more about the build than the ANC itself in this case. The 820nb (or 830nb that just came out, I suppose) is bigger, so if it’s too big in you it might let more noise in. If you can find a used Sony XM4 or even a refurbished XB910N or ULT, the anc is MUCH better, and if you get them refurbished through Secondipity, the XB910N or even the ULT are not that much more expensive and like new. (I buy all my Sony stuff through them. No affiliation, they’re just awesome.) Check out eBay for them. If you can’t do that, I’d say, consider the SoundCore Q30 (which can be found at the same price as the 820NB).
Games / Bass - I cover this I detail in the Sound section. Hi Res - Yes, but that’s lost some meaning these days. The sound section covers actual usage experience.
@bharathyadav1589 - Ah, gotcha! Hmm. In that case, I’m not sure either of these will be much help: the Edifier is only SBC, as you said, and the Q20 does AAC and SBC. If you’re looking for something more like aptX HD or even LDAC, I think you’ll need to spend a bit more. For example, the 820NB Plus does LDAC, but it’s a bit pricier. amzn.to/3VR9jGd The Tozo HT2 might be a better option. Right now it’s at about $40 from Amazon in the US, which makes it a solid deal amzn.to/3W2l9gu (if you’re out of the US, it may also be on sale in your region.) If noise canceling is not important to you, the JBL Tune 710bt is hands down the best sounding headphone in this price range. Again, in the US on Amazon it’s currently on sale. amzn.to/4aT349c I hope this is useful, and sorry that I can’t be of more help.
Honestly, that’s not in my plans right now. But if get enough requests and I start getting donations through the Thanks feature with that as a request then yeah, I’d 100% do it. (Every cent I make on this channel goes back into stuff I review.)
For me fitting on q20 just feels not right. The clamping is so hard for my head, I can't even using that hp for 1 hours straight. Idk its only for me but for someone who dd takstar pro 82 and compare with q20 it just like day and night for clamping and cup size.
Definitely not my experience, but comfort is always super personal. I talk about it, but it’s very much a “try it for yourself” thing. Thanks for your experience!
I do not want to be picky but I don't think there is even a fare comparison between these 2 headphones as Q20 came out in 2019 and edifier on 2023 I believe.
To be honest, when I started this review, I thought the same thing. But that turned out not to be the case: the new one wasn’t clearly better in every way than the other. They were just different. That said, I only made the video because I really WAS trying to decide between the two as a gift. This really WAS the way I decided. I just thought making a video about how I went about it would be interesting.
I haven’t used either the Baseus or the SoundCore, so I can’t say. But you might also want to consider the SoundPeats Space, which I did a review on, is about the same price as these, and which I’ve been using as my gym headphones for the past few months: th-cam.com/video/RTqwt1A5fIg/w-d-xo.html
Basically, Q20i has USB-C charging and app to control ANC. Q20i has a lesser Bluetooth range, bigger battery & lesser charging time, higher automatic shutdown time and doesn't come with a pouch as compared to Q20. My recommendations in the video still stand. Only reason I didn’t test the Q20i instead was because of my price limitations for the gift exchange I mentioned in the video.
I own edifier headphones and the biggest thing that people comment about them is how comfortable they are and that is because they are bigger. on the other hand(I also own soundcore q20s) the soundcores biggest flaw is (minus its cheap design me and my dad have one and mine broke and my dads is breaking in the same place) how uncomfortable they are. They will touch your hears no matter how big they are. so in short what i am saying is he is wrong about the comfort it should be edifier all day.
First, thank you for watching and your comment. Second, I’m glad you have your own opinion and have enjoyed the Edifier: it’s a good headphone! But comfort is subjective: no one can really be “wrong” about what one finds comfortable. Size, however, IS objective. The Edifier is great (and I say that in the video) if you have a larger head (like I and most guys do). But for a wider range of folks (men and women alike) the SoundCore will generally be a better fit. That’s the point made in the video.
Just got my Edifier WH700NB TODAY. Thanks for the review. 😊😊😊
My pleasure! Than you for watching!
I recently bought a q20i and they cost me 35 dollars. I am very satisfied with them because they have added usb c and enhanced button control
That’s a great price for the Q20i! Definitely a solid choice!

The Edifier have a gaming mode with low latency but they do not come with an AUX port,so your choise
Then you can't use the mic, so it doesn't matter anyways that the aux mode has no lag.
Incredible review. Very detailed
