Love how tree lined it is. The antithesis of current commercial practice.
They need a better rail bending machine (how the hell do you bend rails?!) I wonder if whoever Network Rail uses could help all the preserved lines at cost price.
I wasn't aware of the Yorkshire Engine Company - a look on BRdatabase reveals that they were small steam loco specialists. The 02s were the only diesels they produced.

Hi Purple, thanks again for posting this. Have you considered visiting the Rocks by Rail Living Ironstone Museum near Stamford, within an hour's drive of Wellingborough? I went a few years ago. A great tribute to the old ironstone industry, with railway activities like Hunsbury's plus quarrying demo's using excavators, etc as once common around Wellingborough. They are having an end-of-season event on Sunday 20th October.
