This was fascinating, to see all your TARDIS variants. I got several of CO's Hartnell Police Boxes and painted/weathered the windows in various ways, to mimic the first 3 or 4 Police Boxes seen in the B&W days. Nice to see yours, with the higher roof! I wish CO would bring out a Pertwee variant, in "The Three Doctors" colours and signage, but with the stacked roof, as I just prefer it that way! I'd love to see a B&W version from CO, also! Then we could give it heavy weathering, so to make it look like the very battered model used in model shots in "The Moonbase", for instance! Well done with your War Doctor TARDIS, and on the Original Gallifreyan TT Capsule! Yes, I enjoyed this video, nice work ;-D
+MrSontaran3 Thanks! I've also done another collection video with a couple more TARDIS's and an updated Default TARDIS I made since I made this video so please check that one out too!
+White Hat Hack Well the only one I've raised the roof on is the First Doctor's, basically all I did was cut away the top part with a craft saw and then use plasticard to build the roof up and then replace the original roof part on top :)
If I do get one then I will do a review video on it, however given their rarity in shops and the ridiculous prices they are being put up for online right now it could be months, even years before I get one at a good price
Thanks, although unless you were watching my channel at the VERY beginning then I doubt it was 6 years ago as my channel didn't exist until November 2014 haha
The exact model continuity of the Doctor's TARDIS has changed considerable over the years, however going by the most recent evidence in Let's Kill Hitler, The Doctor's TARDIS is Mark 40 Type 3 However if you're referring to the original TARDIS he left Gallifrey with then it was most likely a Type 40 Mark I and The Doctor upgraded it himself over time to a Mark III perhaps. The continuity between the differences between TARDIS and TT Capsule are on an going debate, but it seems that it's just different terms for the same thing, and contrary to An Unearthly Child most recent evidence seems to suggest that TARDIS in a term well known on Gallifrey and Susan didn't make it up herself.
Is it weird that I think your custom 12th Doctor Tardis looks better than the official one? Idk, maybe it's because I like how much it looks like the current Spin and Fly Tardis.
+The Framemaster(Ben_ToaofFire) Thanks :) I have got the proper version now and it's a pretty close approximation, it's the two tone windows that make it stand out though
I don't have any plans to make a part 3 for the foreseeable future purely because I don't have any other TARDIS's that haven't been shown in the previous two videos
Anyone can make custom figures, it just takes alot of practice, time and patience, as I always say, if you want good results you've got to be willing to be hours, possibly even days of work into making even just one figure
Amazing, if you're having trouble finding an image for 12th doc tardis, (great english there) then take an image of the easter egg on google maps and photoshop it, also at least if character don't deliver with the 12th doc tardis at least you have that tardis to fall back on lol and if you ever make another John Hurt TARDIS, then I suggest ebaying ot coz the war doc TARDIS looks soooooooooo fucking good 😃
Rory Stock Thanks! I have thought about making a War Doctor TARDIS for ebay but it's being able to find a 9th/10th Doctor TARDIS at the right price that means I can still get one and make a return and profit on the sale. I probably will get a Twelfth Doctor insert for it at some point but I never usually leave them open so I'm not bothered by having the correct inserts or not :)
CaptainJimiPie k, I never both bout how correct the inside is and I play with my tardises so you'd think it would annoy me, wait what, no I use them for fa, to I say play? And I agree with the war doc tardis points, I would do the same
+Theflasher Cannon Unfortunately I can't make videos of how to make these as I don't have any spare TARDIS's to work with, however I did recently make a video of how I made my Third Doctor TARDIS which is basically the same as the Second but without the weathering, and the War Doctor TARDIS is just a standard Ninth/Tenth Doctor TARDIS with replaced inside card and outside weathering so it's very simple to do :)
wasn't there a Colin Baker episode or one of the later episodes where the Doctor fixed the Chameleon circuit and it was an organ and a pillar or as usual am I dreaming? Any Whovians who can correct me please? If so those would be cool to have and I like the way the TARDIS looks the original look when it left Galifrey.
Yes there was, it occurred in Attack Of The Cybermen, where the Sixth Doctor did attempt to fix it, however it appeared as a pipe organ, ornamental wardrobe and a metal gateway, all of which were out of place with their surroundings. The pillar was in fact how The Master's TARDIS appeared on occasion. As for figure version I do plan to make these at some point in future but right now I have no immediate plans to do so.
Hi, I was wondering if you could make a video showing how to fully take apart the 11th doctor's flight control tardis? I have the electronic and the non-electronic version (the one with the white windows) and I want to put the white windows onto my electronic one and add interior lights and all that, but I'm not quite sure how to take out the wires from the base. I really need help with this and I can't find any other tutorials on TH-cam :( I would greatly appreciate your help with this!
I do plan to do a video of this for my How2Do series in future, for both a new series TARDIS and a classic TARDIS, unfortunately at present time I don't have any spare or atleast any I'm willing to take apart, and as they can be expensive these days I don't currently have the funds to buy anymore just for the sake of taking them apart. The wiring however is very complicated and whenever I've customised mine I've bought them as non-functioning so I didn't have to worry about ruining the wires, as such if I did a tutorial it probably wouldn't involve the wiring and just focus on how it comes apart. Sorry I can't be of more help!
Well I was lucky enough to get most of these while they were still readily and cheaply available, and I got most of them cheaper as non-functioning too
Well it's just it's actually one of my favorite TARDIS's in the doctor series I just really like the interior and I would just use the capaldi TARDIS police box or something because I know the pool open door for the telephone lights up though
Rhyan Bennett It depends on where you look, on average they probably will be, you just have to keep a look out for a lower price one, but it would go quickly! And in response to a PM I received from someone regarding this video, none of these TARDIS's are for sale, sorry!
I'm afraid I couldn't say as it's been a LONG time since I made this video so it was probably a particular tone I mixed by hand and no longer know what brand (if any) I used.
To be honest it all depends on what kind of paint you find easy to work with, I just used plain white acrylic paint however as it's acrylic it doesn't leave a smooth finish and often has visible brush strokes, but personally that doesn't bother me, so I'd recommend seeing what paint works best for you.
Unfortunately as I don't have any spare to hand I can't make anymore however I did do a Live From The Workshop for my custom Third Doctor TARDIS which will give you an idea of what goes into making them :)
I mainly use acrylic paints with either sprays or sharpies for metallic colours, however when it comes to paint it's often down to personal preference, for example more people prefer model paints as they leave a smooth finish unlike acrylics, however I prefer acrylics because I find them easier to work with My personal recommendation would be to find what works best for you, remember there is no right or wrong way to make customs
I want to make an 8th doctor tardis- there is a 1st and a 7th on ebay going for roughly the same. Should I go for a slightly modified 1st, a completely repainted 7th or an umodified 7th? They're about £20-£30 right now.
+Rhyan Bennett I used a standard Seventh Doctor TARDIS for mine as that's what I had spare at the time, so it's really up to you which one you want to use :)
They are very rare and expensive these days although I'd be very surprised if Forbidden Planet was selling it for that price as they generally have to stick to the RPP unless they are on sale. Basically it wouldn't be finically (or possibly even legally) ethical for them to raise the price above the RPP, regardless of rarity
Wait....how do you search for the doctor tardis....because the only one I find similar are the money bank taking doctor tardis.......I really want 12th doctor tardis....(and they only have talking bank money coin)
Darkmoon zm : I just search, sometimes it takes a few minutes, other times it might take days, even weeks using various searches to find what I want, it took me over 2 years of almost daily searching to get The Fourth Doctor TARDIS at the right price! There is no quick and easy way to find things, if you really want it you've got be willing to put the time and work into finding it!
None of them are very cheap and/or easy to find these days, hence having to spend the time searching for them! I'm just glad I got most of mine when they were still readily available!
I am a little confused about the versions of 11th tardis. I know that the standard version is the black windowed one and the christmas version is white/ glass window version. As the christmas variant is basically a flight control with no flight control features is it possible to put them in/ swap them from another tardis?
Pleeeese can you make the six doctors pink piano tardis from "attack of the cybermen" For example in the episode the door is located on the back of the piano, we never see the door so you can improvise what it might be like? E.g. Make it open and make a cut out interior inside :D hope you make it :) -your slippery pal
I do know the episode in question however, I think you've got it slightly confused, the TARDIS did take on an appearance of an organ in Attack Of The Cybermen but that was just a plain brown wood and brass, it did also turn into a cupboard with a floral pattern but that was overall a baby blue/off grey colour. I have considered making these before however if I do decide to do it then it probably won't be for quite a while yet, as for the open interior whilst it would interesting to see, simply because of how they will have to be made, it just wouldn't be possible to add in this feature as the designs of the objects simply don't lend themselves to having this, particular the organ. In short whilst it's always a possibility I may make it in future I wouldn't hold out much hope for it, sorry.
CaptainJimiPie it's ok, I'm doing some custom tardis mods myself I'll upload a video on it in a few hours possibly :) Love your videos keep up the good work!
Sentaifan14 It depends on the type of weathering colour that needs doing, the model that you're weathering, if you want to add your own bits too it or not, so many things. I could type out a list of all the different combinations of colours I've used but to be honest it would probably be the length of a small leaflet! Your best bet is to fine an old piece of plastic or old model you don't want any more and just test out various mixes
+CaptainJimiPie I just wanted a few examples because I just I'm trying to paint on some bits of my 10th doctor tardis because some paint got off from being in a container
Sentaifan14 Well for the Tenth Doctor weathering I would say dark grey, but again it varies from model to model so I would suggest testing it first on something else
Thanks, the the original version is in this video however I have done a Part 2 which should the updated version and you can see how I made both as they have videos which can be found under my Live From The Workshop series playlist
Thanks, be sure to check out Part 2 of my TARDIS collection too! As for where I get them, eBay is where I got most of them but they're pretty rare and hard to find anywhere cheaply now, I have a few contacts I've made over the years who can sometimes still get them for me but it's still a hard thing to track now
I saw u could still get the mccoy tardis on amazon for £20 maybe a bit higher and I saw a 4th tardis on ebay for maybe the same prise still in full working order
Time War Productions That is very surprising, especially for the Fourth Doctor TARDIS, if they are that price at the moment I would buy them whilst you still can
No, sorry, these are my personal collection so they're not for sale, and unless stated in the video itself none of the customs on my channel are for sale, nor do I have any plans to take commissions to make any customs at present time or for the foreseeable future
Thanks, and unfortunately when it comes to selling customs it can be quite a tricky business when it comes to selling them at a fair price, I'm planning to do a video at some point about why I don't sell customs myself and explaining my reasons for that
Thanks and yes they were different, the original Hartnell TARDIS with the St. Johns Ambulance logo was last used in The War Machines and then it changed overall to the mainly used Second Doctor TARDIS (although it was used by Hartnell briefly too) After that (although it did undergo some minor changes and repaints over the years) the same prop was used until The Fourth Doctor story The Seeds Of Doom. However in regards to my models in this video my second Doctor TARDIS has sine been repainted into my own updated audio series TARDIS exterior and my Third Doctor TARDIS (which you can see in Part 2 of my TARDIS Collection Showcase) will be updated to become both my Second AND Third Doctor TARDIS
Because they're part of my personal collection and I don't want to sell them, nor do I want to take on commissions to make anymore because it's alot of work that I don't currently have the time to take on now or for the foreseeable future.
show me to tell you a fun fact that you probably missed in the second Doctor hello era the to open signage is actually on the opposite door well at least in a couple of Seasons
+Whovian no.1 I did know that actually, although in some cases it's because the shot is flipped, but it's most noticeable in The Abominable Snowman & Enemy Of The World, there's more info about the various police box exteriors (and interiors) on The Doctor Who site www.thedoctorwhosite.co.uk/tardis/exterior/1966-tardis/
Without trying to pry at how much you spent on some of these, what do you think is an average/fair price to pay for the classic TARDIS sets, boxed or not?
I was lucky in that I got most of mine before they became so rare, or I have managed to get them via private sellers who can get/sell them as a lower price to me, but at the end of the day it's up to what each person is willing to pay. What one person considers a good price, others might say is too high, but there's no escaping the fact that these are rare now and so they do hold and retain high value, even more so if they are boxed.
+DEATH ! DUDE (deathdude0010) Thanks, the reason for the battered appearance of the Eighth Doctor TARDIS is that it's supposed to be a Eight Doctor's TARDIS in the movie style but nearer his time line of the Dark Eyes audio series when it would have looked a bit more battered. It just didn't look right to me clean so I decided to add some weathering
DEATH ! DUDE I mainly work in acrylics with spray paints and sharpies for metallic colour but more people prefer to use proper model paints, it's all down to personal preference really.
I have a idea on how you can keep your custom 12th Doctor Tardis in your collection. When the official 12th Doctor Tardis releases, you could make the custom you did into the 11th Doctors 2nd Tardis from 2013. Just an idea I had. :)
Nerfherder219 Not a bad idea but that would mean having to repaint it a darker blue again, I'll probably just keep it off to one side and replace it with the main 5" Twelfth Doctor's TARDIS. I may end up selling the custom, although just to cover myself here, NONE OF THESE TARDIS'S ARE CURRENTLY FOR SALE! Not directed at you Nerf :) but it would be the first time I've said I MAY sell something and people have instantly send me comments and messages asking how much etc haha
+Planet 360 I know some people debate this point but personally I would say yes along with all the other Eighth Doctor audio adventures, specifically because before he regenerates in Night Of The Doctor, then Eight Doctor names various companions including Lucie (before Dark Eyes) and then Molly who was his companion during Dark Eyes, so to be it's definitely canon
I’ve got a cool custom idea! get a 12th doctor flight control tardis, and repaint it with the darker paint scheme 11s had, and there you have an 11th doctor tardis with good electronics cuz the 11th doctors tardis toy has very bad electronics, only the lantern lights up. None of the signage or even interior lights up. but, the 12th doctor toy has the same amount of electronics as the 10th doctor tardis, and the 12th doctor tardis is the exact same prop as 11s, just repainted to be lighter, thats why i think this would be a good idea.
+Silver Nemesis It's fine I got what you meant :) and my eBay page is below, but I currently don't have anything for sale on there at the moment, I occasionally sell pieces but just to clarify I don't currently take commissions for figures. www.ebay.co.uk/sch/the0captain/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
I'm not rich in the slightest, when I bought most of these they were still readily and easily available in shops or still relatively cheaply for sale on eBay, you can still find them cheap in some places but you've got to put the work and time in to find them
+TheWhovian 228 Eventually I would like to however it's slightly harder with the classic ones as I would need to also build an interior backing to mount them onto, unlike the new series ones they don't have a way of fixing any interior cards. Be sure to check out my Part 2 of the TARDIS Collection Showcase too!
Actually I do have one of those, but this video is just for my 5" collection, not TARDIS's in general. If it were then I'd be missing ALOT more than just the Pop! version as there have been many variants of TARDIS merchandise over the years
No, I didn't really see the point as so many other people were doing it, besides I'm going to review it eventually anyway so people will see my thoughts on it then :)
I hope for Jodie's Tardis they make the Tardis have a flat roof because we have had the same shape for 12 years and it would be nice and probably make the pull to open sigh black or something just to make it different and abit dirty as well
CaptainJimiPie yeah or that I just want it to look like it's old so when it lands one 21st earth it looks like it always been there and not like the police started to make and use them again all clean and new why don't you make a custom of the idea like they won't make a old Tardis they would just paint it old and change it slightly so you could do it if you have a spare newwho Tardis
If I do a custom of her TARDIS then I'll wait until we actually get to see it as TARDIS's are expensive to get these days so I'd rather do it properly as it would be on screen if I'm going to do it
Does it really matter? Whether it's TARDIS's or TARDIes or TARDIS' or even TARDISI, the thumbnail indicates more than one TARDIS present so the content of the video is still obvious regardless of correct grammar and punctuation haha
+Blinking Studios No sorry, these are part of my personal collection, unless stated otherwise in the video none of the customs on my channel are for sale.
Blinking Studios Probably not, it wouldn't be that easy to record as I don't have the right equipment to connect my phone to record to my laptop, and just recording the screen in front of a camera wouldn't work
Actually in comparison to the official toy version I was pretty much spot on with this, but both compared to the actual prop were very bright, but then this was also many years ago now so I have since replaced this custom one with the official version
No I didn't, I just didn't have The Third Doctor TARDIS custom made at the time of making this video, check out Part 2 for more TARDIS Customs including that one!
+Alec Gregory : I haven't done a Shalka TARDIS (or have any plans to) partly because I don't have any more TARDIS's spare but mainly because with the exception of a few minor details it's basically the same as the Seventh Doctor TARDIS so as I already have one of those I don't need make another custom one
It would be easy to do but as I said I don't currently have any more TARDIS's spare and as it's basically the same as the Seventh or Eighth Doctor's I don't need to make another as I already have them both
+Carlos Lara I'm not good on languages so I apologise if I've got this wrong but going by what google translate has told me you've said I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm 27 :)
The video description says it's a Collection Showcase video showing my TARDIS Collection and that's exactly what the video is about...how is that at odds?
+Jake Brazier Sorry, but my personal Facebook page I keep for personal/close friends and family, however if you do want to ask me any questions then I do have a public facebook page which you can message me on, I do my best to respond to messages as soon as possible facebook.com/CaptainJimiPie/
Jake Brazier No worries! As I say I do try to respond to messages as quickly as possible but with everything going on at the moment it could be any anywhere from a few minutes to the next day haha it all depending on when you catch me!
This is just my collection of The Doctor's TARDIS's, I did buy a junk TARDIS however I wasn't very impressed with it so I ended up using it for parts to make a Dalek Asylum Diorama

+fuck You're not the first person to say that oddly haha I don't hear it myself though!
i remember watching this at primary school in 2016 while making a cardboard tardis and it was a cross between the 7th and 3rd doctor tardis
Good to know my videos have endured for people :)
Love the eighth doctor TARDIS!
+nathanwhoproductions Thanks!

Thanks, I will do! Gotta love the old Police Box, in all its myriad forms ;-D
MrSontaran3 Definitely :) and thanks!
So if you don't mind...how exactly did you go about raising the roof of the custom TARDISes (or whatever the plural form of TARDIS is)
+White Hat Hack Well the only one I've raised the roof on is the First Doctor's, basically all I did was cut away the top part with a craft saw and then use plasticard to build the roof up and then replace the original roof part on top :)
+CaptainJimiPie interesting. Thank you
White Hat Hack No worries!
Will there be a video on the B&M one if you find it?
If I do get one then I will do a review video on it, however given their rarity in shops and the ridiculous prices they are being put up for online right now it could be months, even years before I get one at a good price
I used to watch your channel 6 years ago and I’ve found it again
Thanks, although unless you were watching my channel at the VERY beginning then I doubt it was 6 years ago as my channel didn't exist until November 2014 haha
love your TTcapsule type 40 TARDIS it looks so cool :)
Thanks, be sure to check out my second TARDIS collection video for the updated version, which you can also see being made as a Live From The Workshop
+CaptainJimiPie oh ok :)
technically it's a type 40 mark 1 TT capsule.
The exact model continuity of the Doctor's TARDIS has changed considerable over the years, however going by the most recent evidence in Let's Kill Hitler, The Doctor's TARDIS is Mark 40 Type 3

The official releases pale in comparison to your amazing customs! Kudos.
+George Reid I wouldn't have quiet said they were that good but thanks! :)
You're customs are cool! Great job, they look accurate.
Thanks!
Is it weird that I think your custom 12th Doctor Tardis looks better than the official one? Idk, maybe it's because I like how much it looks like the current Spin and Fly Tardis.

oh ok.
If I ever get more in future then I may do a part 3
Also have you done a Series 7 TARDIS, where it appered weathered in The Snowmen episode?
+DoctorWhoBuilder 999 No I haven't I'm sticking with the clean version for the Eleventh Doctor :)
A very Awesome set of TARDISES and well showcased too.
Thanks!
I'm thinking of making my own stop motion and you really helped inspire me now the figures
Face slap
Anyone can make custom figures, it just takes alot of practice, time and patience, as I always say, if you want good results you've got to be willing to be hours, possibly even days of work into making even just one figure

I didn't quite understand what you said...sorry!
CaptainJimiPie never mind, btw that both was supposed to be bother and fa is figure animation
ah ok
infact i change my mind how do you make the war?
+Theflasher Cannon Unfortunately I can't make videos of how to make these as I don't have any spare TARDIS's to work with, however I did recently make a video of how I made my Third Doctor TARDIS which is basically the same as the Second but without the weathering, and the War Doctor TARDIS is just a standard Ninth/Tenth Doctor TARDIS with replaced inside card and outside weathering so it's very simple to do :)

The wiring however is very complicated and whenever I've customised mine I've bought them as non-functioning so I didn't have to worry about ruining the wires, as such if I did a tutorial it probably wouldn't involve the wiring and just focus on how it comes apart.
Sorry I can't be of more help!
I was going to start a collection of the tardis but the prices are insane !!! I may try an scratch build them myself !
Well I was lucky enough to get most of these while they were still readily and cheaply available, and I got most of them cheaper as non-functioning too
What about the 11th Doctor's Tardis from series 7B
Weathering aside, it's basically the same as the 2010 Series 5 onward one, so I didn't really see the point in doing another
Well it's just it's actually one of my favorite TARDIS's in the doctor series I just really like the interior and I would just use the capaldi TARDIS police box or something because I know the pool open door for the telephone lights up though
I do like a nice weathered TARDIS but again it's just not one I ever really saw the point in making myself
Where would you say is the best place to look for the seventh doctors TARDIS as i missed them when they were released...
Rhys Hughes eBay is probably your best best I would say.
Thanks! I will keep an eye on it :D
Rhyan Bennett It depends on where you look, on average they probably will be, you just have to keep a look out for a lower price one, but it would go quickly!
And in response to a PM I received from someone regarding this video, none of these TARDIS's are for sale, sorry!
What sort of paint is the 8th Doctor TARDIS?
I'm afraid I couldn't say as it's been a LONG time since I made this video so it was probably a particular tone I mixed by hand and no longer know what brand (if any) I used.
What paint do I use to whiten the parts of the 11th doctors tardis windows?
To be honest it all depends on what kind of paint you find easy to work with, I just used plain white acrylic paint however as it's acrylic it doesn't leave a smooth finish and often has visible brush strokes, but personally that doesn't bother me, so I'd recommend seeing what paint works best for you.
Hey can you show us how you custom made them i am planning on making the 2
Unfortunately as I don't have any spare to hand I can't make anymore however I did do a Live From The Workshop for my custom Third Doctor TARDIS which will give you an idea of what goes into making them :)
What type of paint do you normally use to make these? Specifically the type used on the 96 Tardis?
I mainly use acrylic paints with either sprays or sharpies for metallic colours, however when it comes to paint it's often down to personal preference, for example more people prefer model paints as they leave a smooth finish unlike acrylics, however I prefer acrylics because I find them easier to work with
My personal recommendation would be to find what works best for you, remember there is no right or wrong way to make customs
@@CaptainJimiPie alright then, I get it now. Thank you.
No worries
you forgot doctor #3's tardis
No I didn't, it's in the Part 2 of this video under my Collections Showcase playlist
+CaptainJimiPie cheers
Rhyan Bennett No worries! :)
What paint do you use for your windows on the 11th/12th doctor tardis
Just normal acrylic paint
I wish I had some of the classic tardises I remember seeing them along time ago but my tiny brain back then thought of it as a piece of junk :(
Well I'm just lucky I managed to get hold of them whilst they were still readily available, although the Fourth Doctor's TARDIS was the most costly!
CaptainJimiPie how much was it? I don't mind if it was really expensive, because it's an excellent product!
I think I paid about £75 for mine but it was near mint in box with the figure and everything so well worth it
CaptainJimiPie oh that's fine I remember seeing one in forbidden planet few years ago for £100 Good buy :)
OMG...the old doctor tardis......the real and Genuine one are so hard to find....or around $100 USD
If by swap them you mean the windows then probably but it's not something I've ever done or plan to do
Pleeeese can you make the six doctors pink piano tardis from "attack of the cybermen"
For example in the episode the door is located on the back of the piano, we never see the door so you can improvise what it might be like?
No worries and thanks! :)
The only Tardis I have is the 11th Doctor's flight control Tardis but I LOVE it sooooooo much
They are great collectables, I was just lucky to get these whilst they were still easily available!
You might need to redo the War Doctor TARDIS. Some parts of it look a bit messy. And you can't even see the Pull to Open door sign.
I have redone it several times since I made this video 7 years ago, I just haven't put an updated video on my channel yet
How do you weather a tardis
+Sentaifan14 Personally i use very light coats of acrylic paint, however there are proper weathering kits and paints you can buy from model shops
which colors of paint
You should paint the bars in between the window pains to make it more like the real deal on the war doctor tardis
I have updated my War Doctor TARDIS since making this video, I've just not gotten round to putting it up on my channel yet
How do you weather it.
Just using acrylic paints and giving light brush coats over the finished model
CaptainJimiPie thx
No worries!
Where do you get these TARDISes? TARDi? BEFORE, the were modified?
+DoctorWhoBuilder 999 eBay mainly, or keep a look out in local shops/second hand stores
That gallifrey tardis is so amazing
Thanks, the the original version is in this video however I have done a Part 2 which should the updated version and you can see how I made both as they have videos which can be found under my Live From The Workshop series playlist
the best collection ever and where do u find the original tardises?
Thanks, be sure to check out Part 2 of my TARDIS collection too!
As for where I get them, eBay is where I got most of them but they're pretty rare and hard to find anywhere cheaply now, I have a few contacts I've made over the years who can sometimes still get them for me but it's still a hard thing to track now
I saw u could still get the mccoy tardis on amazon for £20 maybe a bit higher and I saw a 4th tardis on ebay for maybe the same prise still in full working order
Time War Productions That is very surprising, especially for the Fourth Doctor TARDIS, if they are that price at the moment I would buy them whilst you still can
What a great tardis collector.
Thanks!
Do you sell these? As I collect them myself but can't find any classic tardis's anywhere? :)
No, sorry, these are my personal collection so they're not for sale, and unless stated in the video itself none of the customs on my channel are for sale, nor do I have any plans to take commissions to make any customs at present time or for the foreseeable future
Aw okay well there awesome, I love the customs not many people can sell them
Thanks, and unfortunately when it comes to selling customs it can be quite a tricky business when it comes to selling them at a fair price, I'm planning to do a video at some point about why I don't sell customs myself and explaining my reasons for that
Very awesome!
+Meb Themes Thanks :)
All of those customs are amazing also for your second doctor tardis was the 2nd doctor's tardis different from the 1st's in the show?
Thanks and yes they were different, the original Hartnell TARDIS with the St. Johns Ambulance logo was last used in The War Machines and then it changed overall to the mainly used Second Doctor TARDIS (although it was used by Hartnell briefly too)
After that (although it did undergo some minor changes and repaints over the years) the same prop was used until The Fourth Doctor story The Seeds Of Doom.
However in regards to my models in this video my second Doctor TARDIS has sine been repainted into my own updated audio series TARDIS exterior and my Third Doctor TARDIS (which you can see in Part 2 of my TARDIS Collection Showcase) will be updated to become both my Second AND Third Doctor TARDIS
why cant we buy them?
Because they're part of my personal collection and I don't want to sell them, nor do I want to take on commissions to make anymore because it's alot of work that I don't currently have the time to take on now or for the foreseeable future.
+BGGamez - Gaming and More! I already have done, for my Third Doctor TARDIS, you can find it under my Live From The Workshop playlist
***** No worries!
show me to tell you a fun fact that you probably missed in the second Doctor hello era the to open signage is actually on the opposite door well at least in a couple of Seasons
+Whovian no.1 I did know that actually, although in some cases it's because the shot is flipped, but it's most noticeable in The Abominable Snowman & Enemy Of The World, there's more info about the various police box exteriors (and interiors) on The Doctor Who site
www.thedoctorwhosite.co.uk/tardis/exterior/1966-tardis/
Without trying to pry at how much you spent on some of these, what do you think is an average/fair price to pay for the classic TARDIS sets, boxed or not?
I was lucky in that I got most of mine before they became so rare, or I have managed to get them via private sellers who can get/sell them as a lower price to me, but at the end of the day it's up to what each person is willing to pay.
What one person considers a good price, others might say is too high, but there's no escaping the fact that these are rare now and so they do hold and retain high value, even more so if they are boxed.
Your war doctor one is awesome
+TheWhovian 228 Thanks
good work on the 8the but please no batter so it looks like the movie version
It just didn't look right to me clean so I decided to add some weathering
btw what kind of paint did you use?
CaptainJimiPie Keep up the amazing custom work! :D
Nerfherder219 Thanks :)
Is Dark Eyes cannon?
Not something I would do, simply because I'm not fussed about the electronics, I never display them lit up so I don't need to worry about the lights
@@CaptainJimiPie Wow never expected a reply! Hello! (And yes i only just noticed your reply haha)
@@definitely_notme4112 No worries, I always do my best to try and reply to any and all comments I get :)
@@CaptainJimiPie Wow you really do!
@@definitely_notme4112 No worries!
I got the forth doctor tardis offical when it came out for £25
+Silver Nemesis Good for you :) Worth their weight in gold now!
I didn't mean to say it smugly. I'm an extreme DW collector just like you. :-) plus I'm interested in buying some custom daleks. What's your eBay page
+Silver Nemesis It's fine I got what you meant :) and my eBay page is below, but I currently don't have anything for sale on there at the moment, I occasionally sell pieces but just to clarify I don't currently take commissions for figures.
www.ebay.co.uk/sch/the0captain/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
Jack Sparks Thanks! Be sure to check out my part 2 of this with some more TARDIS's I got since making this video!
Jack Sparks If you mean one of mine then sorry no, I don't give away or sell pieces of my personal collection.
The second dr tardis should have the white signs on the sides. And a bit like the 3rd dr tardis.
I have updated it since this video
How rich are you to have all these cause there's quite alot you have there
I'm not rich in the slightest, when I bought most of these they were still readily and easily available in shops or still relatively cheaply for sale on eBay, you can still find them cheap in some places but you've got to put the work and time in to find them
Dude u should add pics of the console to these
+TheWhovian 228 Eventually I would like to however it's slightly harder with the classic ones as I would need to also build an interior backing to mount them onto, unlike the new series ones they don't have a way of fixing any interior cards.
Be sure to check out my Part 2 of the TARDIS Collection Showcase too!
your missing one tardis THE POP VERSION OF THE TARDIS
Actually I do have one of those, but this video is just for my 5" collection, not TARDIS's in general.
If it were then I'd be missing ALOT more than just the Pop! version as there have been many variants of TARDIS merchandise over the years
Yeah dude but thanks for replying to the doctor that's me hehehehehe 😁😄😋
No worries I do my best to respond to every comment I get!
Well did you do a reaction to power of the daleks trailer
No, I didn't really see the point as so many other people were doing it, besides I'm going to review it eventually anyway so people will see my thoughts on it then :)
I hope for Jodie's Tardis they make the Tardis have a flat roof because we have had the same shape for 12 years and it would be nice and probably make the pull to open sigh black or something just to make it different and abit dirty as well
Personally I'm hoping they downside in general to a classic style one again
CaptainJimiPie yeah or that I just want it to look like it's old so when it lands one 21st earth it looks like it always been there and not like the police started to make and use them again all clean and new why don't you make a custom of the idea like they won't make a old Tardis they would just paint it old and change it slightly so you could do it if you have a spare newwho Tardis
If I do a custom of her TARDIS then I'll wait until we actually get to see it as TARDIS's are expensive to get these days so I'd rather do it properly as it would be on screen if I'm going to do it
Your wish was granted.
Well I know the door description has gone back to black and the light on top has gone back to blue
should there be an apostrophe there? I would say "TARDISes" maybe.
Does it really matter? Whether it's TARDIS's or TARDIes or TARDIS' or even TARDISI, the thumbnail indicates more than one TARDIS present so the content of the video is still obvious regardless of correct grammar and punctuation haha
CaptainJimiPie yeah I guess you're right. At least it wasn't "Tardis".
GoldenMiru Indeed
Love them
Thanks!
u should change the 12th doctors tardis in to a series 7 b tardis
I ended up selling that one after I got the official Twelfth Doctor TARDIS model
I really wish I could get a 10th Doctor TARDIS without paying a couple hundred bucks dang it...
I'm not really sure where you're looking but I've just looked on eBay and there's several on there in good condition for less than £20
can you sell theese
+Blinking Studios No sorry, these are part of my personal collection, unless stated otherwise in the video none of the customs on my channel are for sale.
+CaptainJimiPie have you seen The Official Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver app
Blinking Studios Yes I have it and the TARDIS one on my phone
+CaptainJimiPie will you review the tardis on your phone
Blinking Studios Probably not, it wouldn't be that easy to record as I don't have the right equipment to connect my phone to record to my laptop, and just recording the screen in front of a camera wouldn't work
12th tardis is a bit too bright blue
Actually in comparison to the official toy version I was pretty much spot on with this, but both compared to the actual prop were very bright, but then this was also many years ago now so I have since replaced this custom one with the official version
you forgot about the 3rd doctor
No I didn't, I just didn't have The Third Doctor TARDIS custom made at the time of making this video, check out Part 2 for more TARDIS Customs including that one!
Can u give me the 4th Doctor tardis?
No sorry, but I don't give away or sell any pieces from my personal collection
Plz make these toys, I want to buy them ALL!
Sorry I don't currently take commissions to sell any of my customs
sean bowman These are just the ones seen in the series/canon TARDIS's but I've never really been interested in making the Movie TARDIS to be honest
I wish I could buy all of his tardis'.
E's theboss : sorry but none of them are for sale or trade
Very nice
Thanks
You inspired me to start making customs =)
Always great to know my work inspired others!
oh ywr totally understandable ok thank u very much lol
+Jake Brazier Quite alright :)
you make tardis or buy
I buy the the standard model in 5" scale and then customise them myself but the original grey and silver TARDIS I made myself
O thanks
Darwin No worries!

Ur missing junk tardis
This is just my collection of The Doctor's TARDIS's, I did buy a junk TARDIS however I wasn't very impressed with it so I ended up using it for parts to make a Dalek Asylum Diorama
