      @@AdamsBrew78 This is a led display, literally a led display (or microled), the led diodes aren't used as backlighting but indevidual pixels (red green blue pixels = 3 different leds).
      And a LCD TV is a LCD TV (the backlighting could be neon tubes, incandecants lights or LEDs).
      Never have I seen a LED disaply being called a LCD TV, they are 2 different things.
      Also TV means television. No one said this was going to be used as a TV.
      Mistakes can happen but you answering with certainty while writing something false, that's not the best attitude.
      I personally try to never comment something false, if I don't know the subject, I don't reply, it's as easy as that.

    • @Victor-ze3sd
      @Victor-ze3sd ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AdamsBrew78 You literally have displays that use for every single pixel and color an individual LED CHIP (and the 3 colors aren't done by filters but the use of different materials in the LED chips).
      For a display like this you could have close to 24 million individual led chips.
      I am not confusing anything (and sure not with oled). That is partly why these are so expensive.
      I don't even know why you didn't look up LED DISPLAY on wikipedia instead of replying.
      At this point I'm guessing you are old or not following tech anymore.
      You are clueless on this subject and are trying to educate others. It's laughable but I'm not laughing because you wasted my time, once more.
      And yes I would have apologized if I was mistaken which is not the case because I don't talk nor reply on subjects I don't know.
      If I'm not certain on the matter I'll right 'I think", "maybe", "it's possible", etc. Here I didn't.
      This conversation for me could be like you second guessing me for 2+2=4 (In base 10), which is annoying as you are not a kid (or I assume).
      Now stop replying and just look it up already!

I was researching Samsung "The Wall" and their video popped up as a recommendation and I watched the entire video. • @projectorscreens6573
      @projectorscreens6573 2 ปีที่แล้ว +39

      It's not that simple. It's different technology. We see everything around us because of reflecting light. That's why the projector shows the reflected light. It's natural for the eyes, so they don't get tired. And all the TV, TV panels, they shine directly into your eyes. So you eyes will get very tired and sore. To feel the effect of presence, you have to sit from the screen the width of the screen. You can't sit that long from a TV, but can from a projector screen. Therefore, such screen are well suited for various events, to show ads. It's no good for watching movies and it's not good for your eyes.

    • @ryankramer
      @ryankramer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Projectors with masking and a motorized zoom also can change the shape and size of a screen, which isn't physically possible with a set up like this. One could use a 2:1 aspect ratio screen to split the difference between 1:2.35 and 1:1.85 content for example.

    • @roboconker
      @roboconker ปีที่แล้ว +8

      high end projector and TV's can reach over 2000 nits, now that's truly eye searing, they have to be that bright to truly show the power of HDR dynamics, this LED wall can only reach 1000, is still brighter than most average TV and projectors that are 350 nits, so it wont be a problem having a your whole wall cover in this LEDs, plus if it hurts your eyes you can just lower the brightness at night like most people do.

    This is something most of us will only be able to dream of! I remember seeing this tech at CES couple a years back. Not sure if this is the same thing? Talking about the "Samsung's The Wall." I know it was Micro LED. And that it was (and probably still is) very expensive. I think this would be such a great solution for consumers and for businesses. I live in a small apartment for example. But if i could use this the right way, and have the exact amount of panels. I actually could have quite a big display. Not a 100" but maybe "73... Just to give an example of course! Anyway, this is great technology in my opinion. I hope this comes out to us "normal" consumers before i die.

When you switch the panel the colors don’t match anymore because the old part looks slightly more dull than the new one. Even with dimming and color matching its nearly impossible to fix this.

    There is a point of diminishing returns when it comes to this size for a display. You would have to have a huge room and sit literally 30 to 40 feet away (like in a movie theater) to really enjoy the whole picture. Most of us obviously do not have a room that big just for watching TV.
    Also..give it a few years and you will be able to just buy this size TV from best buy for $5 or $6k, then 3 years later...it will be down to $2k when they realize how impractical this TV size is and how few they sell.

      Usually warranty period 2 years, LED displays mostly are very stable ( depend what quality product you’ll choose), and service only need it if some problems is occurs, and maintenance are very simple, just pull the module out using the special tool for front service, and replace it with new modules or other components , it takes few min to do so.
