Love love love the "achievement unlocked" on this guy's videos. Also really appreciated how they're edited so you don't have to sit through 15 minutes of mindless chatter at the beginning. Gets right to the good stuff. Excellent work.
Lewis Tech and these other guys do great work but their wideos often need to be edited down. 15 mins should be the max. We've seen the "log into our secure server" bullshit enough times. I always enjoy the reveal. Best part IMO

you should let messages pop up that say things like "Seeing Warnings and Errors in the Eventviewer is completely normal and are not indicating a possible infection" when he opens the Eventviewer. And stuff like that...
these guys must be trained to ignore real problems
the thing is.., they aren't trained at all, they know nothing about TI, they only have scammer 101 in their learning stage
Lol the conversations from the other scammers in the background with callers are fun, just look at 4:24 "... trying to blackmail you" - I kind of forget sometimes that there are still more than enough people out there who fall for this crap

I'm amazed he didn't really react to the TrollRAT, I'm usually fairly subtle with it. This one truly _was_ an idiot (though to be fair, they all are).
Yeah it was weird. I thought he would have asked about it, or used it as a way to convince me I had more viruses. I started subtle and just slowly added more and more shit to the screen haha.

This particular place got defensive very fast. I gave them a call and he was quick to just close the browser, and dig around the history. Said it was a virtual machine (his 'proof' being the Windows copy wasn't genuine). Might upload it tomorrow, I tried to be a 'real' customer with him for as long as possible.
Great job have to say this was probably the funniest video so far made me lol a fair few times! Can't wait to see more with the trollrat pop ups!

I liked the popups. I think it would be fun to replace the usual tools they use with frustrating versions. Show that all the services are running. Show that there are no errors in the log. Show that there are no remote Internet connections. Change tree to confirm that no viruses were detected. Have notepad keep dying so they can't type their scam out or perhaps autocorrect words to be "scam" and "ripoff" or change three digit numbers into two digit numbers. And of course, change that damn syskey program so it never asks for a password.

I love when they say they have microsoft certified technicians, It's such a bullshit, I wonder why people fall for it when it's so obvious that these people aren't microsoft, especially when they can't even spell it correctly.
I had cold call yesterday telling me that my computer was sending errors. i kept her online for ten min. putting her on hold with a recording of "Girl from Ipanema" as hold music..then I Itold her i had to log on to the computer and played old dial in modem sound.

I get the feeling the only scammers that get investigated by the police in India are the ones that are behind in their bribery payments. I wonder, if you can raise enough money if you can pay the police to arrest them?

I like the edited one to make it shorter and go straight to the good stuff. also maybe it's just me but I'd like to see some commentary when they put you on hold to say what he's doing good/bad/funny. second: sadly my sister got one of these on her apple laptop and it took up her whole screen saying virus! and not just in the browser. she restarted it and it was still there and she paid 300 to remove it lol. I wasn't there at the time to tell her it was a scam....
one question for you. what is real tech support like? does Microsoft charge you on the spot like the scammers? or do they have you take it into a store? and if my sister called apple instead of the scammers would they have been able to fix her laptop?

try calling a tech support scammer and before you connect with the remote desktop, activate the 'memz.exe' virus and ask them to solve it

tutorial on how to get troll rat working?
+skatcat743 compile the entire solution in Visual Studio, then drop the Output folder on your VM and run TrollRAT.exe.
Issues #1 and #2 on Github explain how to do it and how to get around a common issue where Windows blocks the EXEs.
I'm going to submit a PR soon with more detailed instructions.
