The dark knight invulnerable got changed to make it that the damage you do while under living dead will heal you when it is done and you don't immediately die so that is nice. They did this because it is now invulnerable but also a heal button which dark knight is lacking compared to other jobs.
The tank invulnerability buttons can be summed up as thus: Paladin- Too holy to die Warrior- Too stubborn to die Dark Knight- Too angry to die and stay dead Gunbreaker- Haha technobubble go brrrr. Also a healer heart attack on a bun. (It drops you to 1hp before making you invulnerable)
Living Dead , THANK GOD, has been changed. Now when you would take lethal damage while its active, it makes you Invulnerable and heals you for a massive chunk for every time you deal damage with an ability (like 1 round of your basic 1-2-3 combo is enough to bring you back to full health) And once you heal or are healed an amount equal to your max health it turns into Walking Dead; effectively carrying over the Invulnerability and you *no longer* die anyway at the end. What this did is it it basically removed your reliance on a Healer to make sure you don't die anyway. Though the fact that it took so long for such a basic QoL change to happen really shows that DRK is the mistreated middle child of the Tanks lol
To translate the terms JoCrap uses early on.... Static: A regular group you do raids with, usually stuff like Extreme Trials and Savage Raids, maybe also Ultimates. As opposed to doing these fights with random groups in Party Finder. FC: Free Company, also known in other games as guilds or clans. Prog (Prauge): Short for Progression. If you're doing a new raid fight and haven't yet killed it, it's known as Progression, as you are progressing in your attempt to beat it. UwU: Short for Ultima Weapon Ultimate, the first of the Ultimate series of raids which are considered among the most difficult content in the game.
@@Veriitea I will find you and I will _shake_ you, it's a truly incredible story. Plus, you get to see moogles perform a musical for someone who _vehemently_ disapproves.
@@Veriitea "Find a static in your FC to help you Prog UwU" Let's break it down: - "Find a static" : Basically finding a stable group of people to play content together. - "in your FC" : FCs are "Free Companies". Literally the equivalent of guilds in other games, like WoW. - "to help you prog" : Progression. Essentially, the hard content in the game (like UwU below) has an in-game option to "just play to practice the fight", instead of specifically trying to clear it. - "UwU" : Ultima Weapon Ultimate. One of the "Ultimate" fights, which is the category for literally the hardest content in the game, thus why you would want to "prog" it, as explained above. So it essentially boils down to: "Finding people in your guild to help you practice that one Ultimate fight"
If you're playing casually, turning off tank stance in raids is very optional. If you're good and your DPS is high, this is called "fighting for aggro" and is hilarious. Especially if you keep ripping it off the other tank every time they desperately try to provoke it off you, and make the boss spin around like a beyblade. If you're not so good, or you're a paladin, you will firmly take 2nd place in aggro, which helps when a boss decides to slap both 1st and 2nd place with tankbusters, or if 1st place dies. In short: The tank stance stays on at all times, even and especially during ERP.
I cannot stress enough the "don't run around/away when pulling mobs" even if the healer is dead and you're about to die, don't run away, you'll die anyway but you'll only die sooner since the DPS will have a harder time killing the mobs
MMOs develop their own entire language of references and slang. "But do you know how to find a Static in your Eff-see to help you Prague UWU" translates to: But do you know how to find a *Static* (a fixed team of players you form a party with) in your *FC* (Free Company, i.e. Guild) to help you *Prog* (make PROGress in clearing) *UWU?* (acronym for a very difficult fight, being [boss name] + [difficulty]. "Ultima Weapon: Ultimate") Just in case you were still wondering.🫡

All right except UWU. UcoB was the first ultimate and it released after deltascale. UWU released a little while after the end of sigmascape.

Especially the Black Mage since he has cast timers longer than their queue times.
I think Xeno has done tank guides? He has a youtube channel as well.
Also, you should check out Sufferhymn if you haven't. 😂
"Healers strike" you know ? Half a dozen prima donnas complaining because they arent getting all the attention while no one notices their loss?
