Just like the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon of season 2 finale where Doc Ock says that he doesn’t want Norman to be a hero, he wants him to live as the Monster he really is, which I agree and as Jameson grow attach to Otto’s original robot arms it just feels like comedy
My main problem with that story is that this entire story had nothing to do with Peter Parker Spider-Man and is more of a pilot with Norman Osborn and doc ock becoming superior Spider-Man again which would be fine if this wasn’t a amazing Spider-Man comic.

Zeb wells doesn't like Peter or Spider-Man he wanted to write Miss marvel.
Yeah, I agree that the Peter and Jameson story in this issue was uncomfortable to say the least, but I did get a chuckle from the four panels where Otto demands an apology from Osborn, only Osborn to actually apologize and leave Otto being like, “Oh. I appreciate your honesty. Huh...”
remenber when norman said that he would never become the goblin again like 2 issues ago? one of the smartest scientists in spiderman comics can't even make a vaccine to make sure he can keep his promise lmao
The funny part is that he actually vaccinated himself in the Ultimate Spider man cartoon and it worked! When they tried to turn him into Goblin again his body rejected it.

how is it that writers like Jeremy Adams who revitalized wally west and gave us great writing gets shuffled off the book for no reason, but Zeb Wells and spider editorial produce arguably the worst run ever of the titular character of Marvel, and instead of doing the same we get the fridging of Ms. Marvel and Dan slott giving us repetitive stories again and again
Maybe the whole good Norman thing was a really slow attempt to turn the comic character into the MCU one from NWH where Norman is good and the Goblin is just an evil alternate personality, I feel like that's where this current arc is going at least. My question is why after all these years is Marvel still doing this to the comic characters, stripping them of their old personalities to just make them more recognizable to the audience that will probably only watch the movies anyway.
Yeah because everyone is under the Raimi influence where they never could never let go and move on and they think the villains are victims of circumstances except Venom who only made him a straight up villain just to spite Avi Arad because most of those ideas came from the 90’s cartoon
4:35 - Where is Black Cat? At this point why is she even in this run, other than to remind the reader that she and Peter are dating? She didn't even get even smaller apperances to help Peter with Tombstone, Hobgoblin, Rabin and now Doc Ock. Seriously - what is the point of having Black Cat in the run? No offense, but they are down-playing her along with her relationship with Peter. Also, issues #19 and #20 (the images you use as referrence for "Wells writing a good Black Cat") are not written by Wells - it was Joe Kelly. Anyway, just want this arc to end and get to issue #31 in August to see if they butcher MJ's character even further with her being Jackpot and all that. Also, I am curious for this weekend at SDCC what Wells, Lowe and the editorial have for announcements.
I do agree with you on where is Felicia when Peter is in trouble? She seems to pop out in some issues and let’s Peter to be beaten. I’m fine that she isn’t in every battle with Peter, or if she is losing in a fight and Peter has to save her. But where is they’re team effort, aren’t they still friends or a couple now?

I'm willing to bet that the arms Peter has are the ones he used during 'Dying Wish' when he was in Ock's body. That's probaly why they connected with him. And I got a feeling this story arc is gonna end with a setup for Superior Spider-Man's return.
I never understood why they’d have Norman be a good guy. He’s one of those characters that just can’t be redeemed after Gwen. Peters been out of character to me this entire run. Paul is just a whole other mess, just let Peter and mj be happy now ffs
I partially disagree. While I do think that Peter is out of character with how he’s being expected to act, I don’t think that he’s out of character with how the current iterations of Spider-man are portrayed in other media. Like, MCU Peter went out of his way to save Norman despite what that man did, so it would make sense to have 616 Peter act similar to that to keep consistency with newer fans of the character.

He’s forever tainted by making a deal with the devil to erase his marriage. But you could also write that off as terrible writing

I can’t believe any of this, J J caring for Otto’s tentacles & how Jameson said the word flattering after he witness the spikes on the tentacles metal belt!! I’m sorry what, does impaling yourself with those spikes flattering, does it!!?? Who wrote this Zeb or was it someone else? And it was nice to see Otto seeing superior Spider-Man again, to bad he didn’t learn anything from his previous past life. And looks like he will make Norman the green goblin again and he will wreak habit to the city. And last but not least Peter made some upgrades to the tentacles and what’s the point of making them red? Is he like the new superior Spider-Man? Now that would be an change or not, it all depends on how the next issue would take it. 🐙🕷️
I think Peter is dead and the current spider man is the original dr octopus how wiped all his memories except Peters memories tricking him self into thinking he is the real spidy but still has aspects of octavius personality which is why Peter is acting out of character and irresponsible. This all happened when otto gave Peter his body back at the end of superior spider man
