I was in the 300ZX behind Alex and the Daytona, for me it was lagging even harder, doing some weird ass Tony Hawk tricks. It was hilarious seeing the GTR battle that thing flying everywhere while i was just viewing the lot from behind

Schrodinger's cat wasn't about "this cat is either dead or alive and we'll never know until we open the box" it was about "this cat is both dead and alive because we haven't opened the box." Not a statement of uncertainty of what's happened, but a statement that it's all happening.
my skyline was a joy to drive, despite missing a checkpoint in the first two races and hitting some barriers in the final race it still did pretty adequate, overall was pretty happy with it, though gliscor did say I performed sacrilege by AWD swapping it

I set up the equations so now all I have to do is type the finishing position in at the end of each race and type N/A if someone didn't do the race/got kicked/drove the wrong car. Then copy and paste the results to a comment and clean up the formatting issues.
@@Alexandru-T. To be fair they haven't been in a ton of Forza 5 races and (though I don't remember specifics) some of the ones they were in may have been the "joke build" races. I count those since it does take skill to adjust to weird conditions, but they can throw a wrench into the usual expected results.

Good example of a sort of spec series and why some dominate when you have the same equipment: setup prep! While Alex's GT-R didn't look terrible, there's a lot of things I would have changed even within A class to make it drive better. One day we'll see our hero triumphant...

Alex, you need to tune in some over steer into your cars, when you get into the power cars you are too planted, so you always under steer in the tighter corners. This will increase your lap speed, as you can get to the apex and you won't need to yield as much.
Decrease springs a bit, Increase damping a bit more for the bumps, works perfect! (just take a few runs for fine tuning) P.s.:If REGENWORM starts to bother you too much, just start talking about a planned weekend fishing and he will back off ;-)
@failrace I'm not sure if this is something that you would do, but what I'm trying to learn a track on Forza, I do the automatic steer auto braking and basically let the PC run the track five times and pay attention to where it breaks at. Then I have an idea of where to start breaking and modify it for myself with handling. Just an idea
I’d like to see your tuning setup. I feel like there’s some missed opportunities as far as suspension stiffness and aerodynamics go, because I’ve built a GTR with off-road tires before and it seems to handle a lot better than this one

Idea, do a match between two types of Cars. One that is a sedan type and one an off-road or a SUV. Do two races; one off-road the other tarmac. Get there lap times close and then an "Adventure", then who can drive the best Driver. Switching of course. Maybe randomish builds...
might have already been said but didn't see it. The newer Skylines were better offroad because of the weight. The extra mass help the traction in the dirt and mud with the offroad race tyres but hinders on the tarmac. Much better physics in 5 :-)
How do you get to all these different type of races? I would really like to do something like this instead of all the usual standard racing where everyone just want to send you off a bridge 😢
Don't think an R35 would be a tuner. That car is more a supercar if anything. Better choice would've been the previous gen GTRs or something else starting from B/A class.
I’m sorry but my feeble American brain can’t comprehend the fact that a GTR can have a straight line speed advantage over a muscle car, especially a Daytona!
Click see more for spoilers on my end So I had used this same Mustang 1969 before in an unreleased vs the community session and man what a monster it is. 1500hp, offroad race tires, RWD and a top speed of 260mph+. If this had the traction it would obliterate everything and surprisingly even with all that power it's not too bad to drive.
Ugh. Painful to watch. Especialy that 1st race. Just my opinion if you care for it - dont experiment. You realy arent cut out for it and you dont seem to adapt to how your non-comfort zone cars drive. Go back to your typical rally tire+handling car template, becauze that handles how you want it to handle and fits your style (and your good at it). This car definitly didnt handle how you want it to. And it REALY shows. I'm not any kind of driving expert (in games or irl), and even I culd tell you wer overdriving it up to Z, expecting more grip where there vas none. I mean, you shuldnt feel like you HAVE to experiment. That its a pride thing. We all have niches in our interests. My thing is martial arts, I've practiced many diferent forms over the years, most I dropped after they didn't realy click with me, but I couple I stuck with, for a long time now. I've got my own comfort zone with fighting styles, you got yours with car handling. Why experiment? Stick to what you'r good at. It's better to master one thing that you'r good at, then to get frustrated trying 10 diferent things that don't fit you. Stick to the kind of car builds you'r good at driving. That's my advice. :)
@@raregliscor1 Thing is, I dont think he ever did. Get used to it, I mean. He and that Zipper guy had the same car builds, right? And the diference in driving skill was clear. Just as someone who's been (intermitently) watching his vids since early last year - his driving in FH4 vas awesome. Ever since he started FH5, his experiments didnt go well.
Take a shot every time Alex brakes too late.

the NSX was an absolute beaut to drive. Also yeah definitely the weight was the problem in the GTR, you can see it.

it also helps that that NSX is one of the fastest A Class cars in FH5. its a monster of a track car.

I have an RS200 Hoonigan in A-Class with off-road race tyres. Love downgrading cars to lower classes, example: S1 to A-Class.

Its the NISMO GT-R LM, I think? Racing version of the r34 (or r33?), it had a forza edition in Horizon 4.

Not sure if you’re taking ideas for future races, but are most/all the failrace film crews real life cars in Forza, could be an interesting race.

If you know you'll only be racing on road when downgrading, it's better to use drag tires for the insane acceleration it gives.
that and it has better grip on road then those mud tires (aka the forza dirt race tires)
