Scrappy Sunday is definitely my chance to stop, relax and recharge. I plan things for the week ahead and sit with my hubby, who reads or we just chat. It’s my new favourite day. 💐thank you
I love getting to catch up with you and seeing your progress on all your scrappy projects. These videos always inspire me to work on all the scrappy things 😍 Seeing your adorable kitty makes me want to get a cute little kitten of my own! Calvin is seriously so precious! ❤️
Cats and yarn! Laughing at the memories! I have had many cats in my life and many of them were yarn-a-holics. Wish I had photos of all of those memories! Calvin-you rock!
Love your Scrappy projects im doing a Scrappy granny square using 4 squares 45 rows and putting them together for a queen-size bed I have 3done and getting ready to start the last one for a Christmas gift
Hi Kay love watching you podcasts could u please tell me how many you casted on the bits and bobs blanket please thanks looking forward to seeing more of your video's xx
I gave all my scraps to a friend to use for charity work. Think i am going to save them from now on. Loving all your scrappy projects. Would love to do a Kingsize blanket in corner to corner but don't have enough yarn. I better get working on my other projects ; )
Love all your scrappy projects! I've had a Cozy Memories blanket going for quite some time, but you inspired me to starter a scrappy granny stripe blanket and I'm loving it. I live pretty close to our local airport and I kept thinking the jets were here 😂😄
I have a "Not a Sock Yarn" cozy memories blanket that I work on.....and now I'm knitting arm warmers. Just a tube with ribbing on both ends. Easier to wear than fingerless mitts. My granddaughter is in college and just snatched up a black and white and tweed pair. "Oh grandma! I love these! Can I have them......please!" I got smiles and hugs and kisses. She likes them because she can just push them up....doesn't have to take them off. I do 10 rows of each stripe and 12 rows of ribbing. ❤️
I so enjoy the Scrappy Sunday chats! All your Podcastss are great of course! Perhaps I can start a Scrappy Sunday project in March, it sounds just perfect! I was going to ask if your blankets were made in DK yarn, but you promptly mentioned all fingering weight! Have a Blessed rest of your day and week ahead! Oh, my three cats are not allowed in my yarn/crafting/ office room at all :) I have held them while on my computer a time or two :)
Enjoyed that ,,, Laughed ,,,when I heard about calvin getting into Yarn! Our male cat is bad,,,,he chews my Yarn and eats it! So Bad! And has started chewing my blankets,,,, Our girl kitty is so GOOD! But he's bad! Don't know why he does that,,,, Love all UR scrappy projects! Thanks ,,so much, Elaine in canada😍😍😍
OMG Calvin looks just like my Finn! He loves yarn if it’s moving like if I’m using it, but my other cat, Ollie, hunts my yarn. He even gets it out of tied bags and then takes it and gathers it up somewhere else. He’s a hunter/gatherer. I’m going through my yarn stash and get yarn scraps together for a scrappy blanket. I’ve only been knitting for 2 years so don’t have that much leftover yarn. I have full skeins I’ll mix in.
Currently working on a scarf that my boss asked me to make her. So, not scrappy. Hoping to start a scrappy project soon. I'm really enjoying these episodes.
I'm wondering: On the blankets, do you mix superwash and non-superwash yarns? And if so, how do you wash them? The corner to corner blanket looks like something I would enjoy!
Really, really love making scrappy projects! It feels so good to be using oddments in such a positive way! I finished a pair of socks this week and have my cozy memories squares as a long term project! Can’t wait for the next episode! X
Love your scrappy projects. Calvin is awesome, my Puskas - stripey grey - does not steal yarn, but when I knit, he comes to me, puts his big motor on - brrrr brrr and is very nice - just to break my yarn in a quick bite - then he rans off and I think he is laughing. Or sometimes this big cat just lie down on my yarn - very precisely, so I cant knit - only pet him. Think most of you cat owners knows about these tricks too.
Clavin looks like Toothless from How to Train your Dragon. He's too cute. For your scrappy DK yarn, you could make scrappy scarfs. Just a thought. All your scrappy projects are beautiful. 😀
Happy Scrappy Sunday ! I love the idea of setting aside a day to knit or do something just for yourself. Calvin is a handsome cat and loved seeing him. Your blankets are beautiful and I love all your projects. I have a question: have you ever knitted a scrappy yarn project with different yarns? When I moved out of my parent's home; my mom packed all my yarn. She packed all the small and medium-sized balls together and I no longer know what weight/brand/material they are. I really thought of doing a throw style blanket with these balls, but thought it would look funny with mixed yarns. I would appreciate any suggestions you have for the use of these balls.
Hey Elaine! Everything in mine have always been fingering weight, nylon and merino mostly. I’m sure something else could have snuck in here and there. If they are the same weight and you are comfortable with using different yarns then I wouldn’t see any issue at all using different yarns together. I think you just have to do what you are comfortable with. Scrappy projects are fun and crazy and I don’t think they all have to stick to the same thing! ❤️
I love scrappy projects and I just use what ever yarn that I have and it doesn't have to be just the left over yarn. I use full skeins of yarn that I only have one of and just go as long as I want that one to go then break it off and start another skein. I bring that color back in when I get further on the project. Have you ever tried the Addi flexflips or the HiyaHiya flyers? Hope you have a great Scrappy Sunday with all your projects. Have Fun.
I tried the Addi ones but wasn’t crazy about them. I probably didn’t give them enough of a chance though. I’ve never even heard of the Hiya Hiya Flyers, are they similar?
@@CrazySockLady Yes the Hiya Hiya are very similar. To me they look like a combination of magic loop and DPN's. What didn't you like about the Addi's, was it their needle point or just the concept.
I don’t think i could knit a blanket yes i agree i love the look of that afghan gorgeous i like to do a half double crochet in a blanket it is great to see someone having fun love your videos from Newfoundland Canada we have tons of snow and very cold
Hi Kay, I know that I have said this before, but ill say it again...I don't know how you do all the knitting and crocheting you do being a full time mom and wife. You simply amaze me. Question about your corner to corner blanket. Do you find it difficult to hide your ties? I was having difficulty so I pulled it out. do you have any tips? Take care and may God Bless you.
Thank you Sherry ❤️ Sometimes I’m amazed at what I can keep up with too! Do you mean the ties with the magic knot? I don’t do anything special to hide them. I don’t really find that they are that noticeable unless someone was really hunting for them. They are a pretty invisible join.
I wear a women's size 9. But the shoe size doesn't correlate to the cast on amount. Cast on amount is about the circumference of your foot. And then you knit the sock foot to the length that you need for it to fit shoe size of foot length. Hope this helps. :)
I LOVE scrappy projects, so thank you so much for the hashtag, and I'm loving your Scrappy Sunday Chats! I just cast on a DK-weight Garter Squish by Stephen West; it's warm and squishy and cozy without being too heavy, stiff, or hot, so if you're looking for a scrappy blanket project for your DK yarn, that would be my recommendation. :)
Scrappy Sunday is definitely my chance to stop, relax and recharge. I plan things for the week ahead and sit with my hubby, who reads or we just chat. It’s my new favourite day. 💐thank you
Awe, that sounds wonderful! ❤️

Just started on a new scrappy project to add to my other three or four scrappy projects. I just love color and doing scrappy projects feeds my soul
Always wondered what I could make with all my scrap sock yarn.. now I know. Love all the different colours worked together.

Hearing the jets fly over reminds me of when I lived in San Diego. I loved seeing Calvin!!
I love all your blankets!!!!
OMG! Calvin is soooooo beautiful! I like the scrappy socks; great idea since I don't like matchy-matchy socks.
Nice cup from Sunny/Snowy Arizona!

You could always hold fingering weight double with your DK weight scraps to get more yarn for a DK wt blanket. Just a thought! ;-)
I'm wondering: On the blankets, do you mix superwash and non-superwash yarns? And if so, how do you wash them? The corner to corner blanket looks like something I would enjoy!

Thank you. I will make a throw using all my tiny balls of yarn.
I can't wait to start.
Do the knots cause any discomfort ..I know sometimes even a crumb under ones foot is annoying Love the idea of using up the leftovers. R. Joh
I have never used the Magic Knot in my socks. ❤️
Love the new scrappy socks! And everything else , of course! How do you join your new colors in your scrappy socks-any special techniques?
Nope, I think I chatted about it in this video. I just drop the color and pick up the next. ❤️
Crazy Sock Lady oops! 😐 I guess I didn’t get that far into it! thanks for letting me know! 💕
Might have been the last one! I thought I chatted about it in one of these! 😆

I didn’t mind the needle point or the connect. I just didn’t enjoy the process of knitting with them. I couldn’t get the hang of it.
Love your socks you rock girl especially the C2c Afghan Ho my goodness I want to do one like that your other Afghan is pretty too
Feb. 18 Sunday i have to learn how to do this hash tag stuff yikes lol

@@CrazySockLady Is it for circumference of foot or calf?
@@minaha2721 I recommend the circumference at the widest part of the foot.
