Hello! ….. my name is Jooles and I live in West Sussex, England.
I get lots of questions about how I knit my mitred square blankets so I made a little video all about it ..... this will be going on TH-cam, but not before my lovely 'club members' have had a chance to watch x

Jools you have missed your vocation. I love your tutorials both for seeing and knitting. You explain and demonstrate things so clearly. Thank you.
Many thanks for such a clear and descriptive tutorial.
Very clear about how to pickup the stitches. Lovely colours, thanks for sharing your expertise x
What a fabulous tutorial. Thank you so much and wishing you a wonderful week 💛🌻
Thank you so much Jules, very helpful. You have inspired me to make the blanket. Yours are very beautiful
Such a good visual explanation of your process 😊 thank you for making this video!
Bless you for doing this video! I can’t tell you how much this means to me! You are awesome❣️
Love seeing this! I have never seen the decreases done like this but I love it! I was going to start a blanket this year and I’m totally using this method
So useful and really inspired to make one of these now. Your projects and videos are always beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to record this xx
Thank-you for the excellent demonstration 😊🧶
I love how incredibly neat your work is. I’ve made the blanket before but didn’t knit through the back in the last stitch. I’m thinking of knitting another one and I’ll try that - other than that I’ve done the same in the first stitch as you have and also done the spine in the same way. Thank you very much for the tutorial. I’d have liked to see how you do the final two rows - although I get it done I’d like to see how you’d do it cos I think I’ve learnt how to precisely pick the stitches - although mine came out well I think it was mainly because I fudged neatly 😂
❤ wonderful tutorial! Thanks.
This was such a helpful tutorial Jooles. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you Jooles. Always interesting to see how others make this blanket, and yours are so very neat. I started mine with a central double decrease which gives a different kind of spine, and also my slipped stitch edges don’t look as neat as yours on the reverse side. I’m going to just finish mine off now at lap size, and start another one to try out your method! 👍💖
Great tutorial..could you explain/show how you add squares ..in what order..for the alternate colour blanket ?
You say you line your blankets. I would like to see a video on how you do this. This was a very good tutorial and I have been looking at this pattern for some time. Thank you.
This is super, thank you! I tried making a blanket like this a few years ago but the corners looked really messy and I became a bit disheartened and ripped it out. I will definitely try again now using your way. 😊
Thankyou for sharing your method, your blankets are so neat. I have made one from the same pattern but doesnt look as neat. I have some gorgous yarn in my stash from dandelion and dogwood I think I will use now following your advice x
Can you please show how to end the square?
I’ve got two going the wrong way and don’t know how to fix it. I may have to disassemble a whole row😢
Its really lovely. Will you back it with fabric?
Hi Carol, yes i will be x
I am doing one blanket with 53 stitches so just checking hell may will be pick up
For this technique you will need and even number of stitches, so either 52 or 54 x
