Thanks for posting the new program! Cool to see the structure. Any chance you could share the strength programming from the previous cycle? Sounds like it was really effective!

Its almost and endless learning curve experimenting to find out what works for you at what time of the season - especially with injuries thrown in. I've worked out I need to start my day with a sort of yoga/strength/rehab/bad routine to try and keep things in balance, stable and flexible. I know the "sore all the time" feeling - and I keep on finding myself in that situation - its so easy to get there with the demands of maintenance, strength training, sprints/intervals, skills training etc - and when I back off I rediscover how much better I perform because my body has had a chance to recover and "build" - but it is so hard to remember especially if a lot of the stress is coming from having fun on my bike building skills and sessioning stuff - Good luck with your experimentation Jesse

You hit a lot of there! For sure just always figuring things out and also finding what works for you. There is definitely a difference between training season and race season because like you said, training makes you sore and tired. Thank you!

Great comment. The body wants variety. I like to say "too much of something, does something, to somthing".
Too much sitting causes back pain, too much biking causes knee pain, etc. etc.
Yoga in the morning is the perfect reset and activation to get your day going that may involve a lot of one thing.

One of my favourite single leg squat variation as the lifted leg being in back helps for balance and control

Hey Jesse! Thanks for sharing this valuable info with us! I love kettlebell workouts since they transfer over to riding so well. What size kettlebell are you using for this workout? Just want a reference point! I’m currently using a 16kg bell for most dynamic workouts and a 28kg bell for more peak strength building movements

Glad you like it! I was using a 12kg bell for this video but my workout is mostly 16kg. Focusing on the movement and stability rather than all out strength(mass) gain.

Jesse Melamed For sure, that makes sense. Thanks for the response, man! Super cool that you’re accessible to a guy like me in Southern California haha keep shredding! I’m rooting for you when the race season gets back to normal
