This video was so helpful and I'm glad I watched it before buying most of the books. I didn't see you discuss 'The Travel Book: A Journey Through Every Country in the World'. Maybe I missed it?

Hi. Hmmmm…. Oopsy-I did miss The Travel Book. Yes- it’s an absolute must for me at least. The pictures are stunning & gives you a realistic glimpse. It’s also a great coffee table book. ✅🌻

We are in week 5 of the earlier set and loving it and wondering about that unique shower curtain. Where did you find one with so much info?

Hi! Can you list the book titles you show in the additional ideas section at the end of the video? Also, saw somewhere that you used an alternative to The Religions Book but Ive rewatched the videos and I cant find that one. Im interested in a book about world religions from a Christian perspective. Thanks!

Hi. The magazine at the end of the video is World Teen. There is one for kids also. kids.gwnews.com/?_gl=1*day3jg*_ga*NjMxNjY3MDAyLjE3MjEyNzc3MjQ.*_ga_RRL61EDJQL*MTcyMTI3NzcyNC4xLjAuMTcyMTI3NzcyNC4wLjAuMA..

I used the book by the Rose Publishing company called Christianity, Cults & Religions. Although the layout might seem more complex, I was able to break it down to bite size pieces for my kids. I created a simple comparison chart so that they could fill-in-the blanks and see everything across the board. 🌻

I would love to pick your brain here...I keep hearing about Guest Hollow...All good things, but the book lists seems so extensive. I have an up and coming Freshman who has dyslexia. Although she is reading, it is still hard and exhausting for her. How would you customize or decide what books to use based on someone who struggles with reading. Is all of Guest Hollows curriculum based off of books or is their a spine to go with it as well? I could see her loving a lot of their courses if it was catered a bit different. As someone who has experience with their curriculum do you have thoughts or suggestions on this? Thank you!

Hello. This is one thing that I do love about Guest Hollow- You can customize everything because it's so meaty. None of my kids have dyslexia however, my son at the time was entering high school and in general he has what I call a reading cap. As mentioned in this video, if there was something just too "whatever" I used a jr. high version, skipped it, read to him myself or chose more videos, another book etc. Since Geography & Cultures was so heavy on reading, we used audio books in our writing curriculum etc. I do remember having one of my kids listen to "I am Mahala". It was better received as an audio book. :-). The GH curriculums are book based as well as they have a spine. Some subjects have more books than others. I've seen the dyslexia question come up before in the FB message groups. Post your question there in the specific group subject you are interested in and before I leave here, I would encourage you to not forsake or feel guilty about cutting out what you need to so that your child can have a great experience. I can't imagine that you would fall short of a high school credit with the amount of fun, interactive, meaty options Guest Hollow has. Did this help?🙂🌻

Hi! Thank you for sharing all your books. I love books! I just bought the same religions book you have for geography this upcoming year. I was on the fence about it for the same reasons you stated. What did you end up using in its place? I have a book in mind, so I’m wondering if it’s the same book you used. Any info is greatly appreciated 😊

Was the junior version of Prisoners of Geography enough to answer the workbook questions or is that when you used the other book for reference?

Hi, would you be willing to share the names of the books you substituted for your 7th and 8th grade students? I want to use this curriculum for my 2 boys who will be those grades and I would appreciate if you would be willing to share. Thanks!

Hi. I basically used the booklist from the Jr. Geography curriculum. I mentioned some in this video you just watched. Here is the Jr. Geography video I created once they released that it would mirror the high school geography curriculum & you can preview the books. It's time-stamped so you can jump to whatever you'd like. th-cam.com/video/Zxi40_B1VwI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WY3fRhrEHtkRPwSJ
