it's honestly crazy the empathy ben has considering his childhood. he never got the sense of real love and caring but he shows it to devi so naturally. he has so many reasons to hate devi but he always forgave her and made sure she knew he was there for her. even if it wasn't mutual.
he was never really there for her tho except when he took her to Malibu. He doesn't listen to her side of the story when the rumor about Aneesa starts going around and he always just watches instead of intervening. I feel like Ben is only attracted to Devi because she is doing well academically. Devi has a soft spot for Ben but he fails to show her that and isn't loyal to her at all. He only gets jealous when he sees her with Paxton.

I don't know why people keep forgetting the way Ben told Devi that he was "all in" and then she ended up breaking his heart. I think his anger was totally justified since he actually cared. It just seems to me like Paxton was more annoyed by the fact that someone like Devi ended up publically humiliating him by cheating on him with a loser. Their relationship just seems to superficial to me since all the reasons Devi has for liking Paxton is his body. I'm definitely team Ben.

It was mean of Fab and Elenor to dismiss Ben, but they're teenagers - at that age, looks are a huge part of it. They're also not really around when Ben and Devi bond, so they missed a lot of that relation building.
It's so obvious that Ben and Devi are endgame. Season one ended with them kissing and season two ended with Ben realizing she had feeling for him the whole time. She's always had a deeper connection with Ben. They opened up to each other abt their family issues and have a lot more common interests. Paxton has given her mixed signals and publicly embarrassed her the whole show while Ben made it clear he was all in. Also the fact that the show even says that she only cares about Paxtons looks an popularity is a big sign that they're not endgame. For season 3 I predict aneesa and Ben breaking up and Ben getting with Devi.
Tbh ben and devi are better off as freinds paxton and devi were opposites but it's what complemented each other they were like a dynamic duo ben and devi were in constant rivalry and just seeing them in a relationship was kinda strange for me personally

I hate Paxton for humiliating her. He started to love her only for selfish reasons because she made him want to be better. He never loved her for her unlike Ben who was always there. He had genuine feelings and wasn't ashamed of accepting her in public. Paxton did care of her , took her to the hospital after the coyote incident but Ben literally kept his heart open for her. Respected her as she deserved. No matter whatever they do with the characters in Season 3 , BENJAMIN and DEVI will always be ENDGAME for me!

But Paxton gave her his attention from day one, when baby girl asked him for sex. He could have not entertained her or talked to her, but he did. Ben is amazing on his own way but he is also not perfect. Paxton is also not perfect but he didn't date her for selfish reasons only. He also rescued her with no questions asked at every f up she did at the parties or when she was crying.

The relationship between Paxton and Devi seems like it’s only surface level and not much deeper than that. Their relationship seems to be much more about kissing and making out instead of their expressing emotions and showing their genuine feelings. Paxton is so cold and distant still just because he had enough balls to show up to a dance doesn’t immediately mean he’s the picture perfect guy if he becomes less of a distance person and actually starts opening up a lil bit more to Devi and isn’t afraid to actually show her off than I’ll start shipping them but haven’t you noticed even in season one he’s been ashamed to be seen around her even before the whole two timing incident. 👀

I also hope he’d be able to help her change as a person to be better ( considering she tends to act a lot on her feelings and impulse ) 😂 Why do I feel like Ben has way more of the emotional capacity to actually deal with Devi’s impulsive decisions I feel like he would be better at helping her grow as a person. I’m always team Ben. He’s more emotionally mature and understands what it’s like to be hurt and doesn’t want anyone to experience it intentionally. I’m obviously team Paxton but that’s not the full point I’m trying to make. To Devi we don’t EXSIST. so she will go for who she wants, and the writers will do just THAT. Ik this is harsh for the Ben fans. But the show is literally about Devi’s obsession with Paxton. (Not all of it obviously, it’s a great show) So I’ll put this in a phrase that I heard in a movie. Ben is sweet yes. But Paxton is the sun for Devi, and when the sun rises all the stars disappear. Paxton IS MEANT for her. Not to mention the fact the Ben got together with the next girl he saw. And the funniest part is that Paxton is reason SHES STANDING. OML PAXTON IS LITERALLY MEANT TO BE WITH HER. the people wanting Ben and Devi together either just want justice for him because they feel bad for him or it’s just because the like the enemies to lovers thing. @@l1346 since this was posted 4 wks ago, i’m gonna assume u’ve just watched season 3. If we just look at Devi’s perspective, even at the end she realises Paxton is a “dream” that helped her. But she never truly knew Paxton, only just the idea of getting with the popular guy and her achieving being popular in highschool which is wht she focused on in s1 and s2. Whereas in s3 where we can all see she’s matured, she ended up choosing Ben anyways. We saw she was never secure or comfortable to be herself in her relationship with Paxton. Ben has always accepted and supported Devi and Paxton only liked her because he liked Devi’s influence on him.

I know that Devi always chose Ben over Paxton. But, in sabotaging case, Actually, why she sabotaged their relationship is bcs she is jealous of Aneesa since she entered the school. You do realize what Devi did, right? Paxton got cheated on, hit by a car, lost his swimming career because of her. Dating her in public again will make him look like a joke and pathetic. Not true ! In season 2 Ben was a huge asshole ! With the tattoo for example. And he has a girlfriend and only when he sees Devi with Paxton he is jealous and he cares about Devi and wants her back. That's just so selfish. Paxton has been acting wrong but so has Ben been, many times. Devi also did things wrong! They all 3 did! So like we don't choose Paxton for his looks but also for his personality. Everyone always forgets that Paxton also goes trough so much. Once he started to get over Devi is when he starts becoming friendlier and sweeter to her. I think it’s pretty obvious that he has had a crush on her for a long time, and that’s not just going to go away easily. Ben’s heart was completely crushed was not afraid to show it, unlike Paxton who always puts his ego first. I like Paxton and Devi’s friendship and he even mentioned in season 2 that they would not work out as a couple. Team Ben for the Win!!!

I really want Devi to chose Ben. But I kind of want her to have no one. Harsh, but she could have had Ben- the guy who stood up for her, drove her to Malibu and was happy to take her in when she left home, to chose a guy with a hot body and not much of a personality. But instead she chose to listen to her friends when she wanted the other, lied to both and made rumours about her potential rival. She doesn't know who and what she wanted and while Ben always chose her, she never chose him. Like he said she went after Paxton- how hurt would he have felt!?
1. Paxton has a personality, it has already been expressed many times he has a hard time speaking his mind well.
2. Paxton took her to the hospital after the coyote accident, he helped her out of the pool, he drove her home when he saw her crying outside, and even after Devi basically ruined his life he still risked his social life and showed his affection to Devi in public.
3. It's already been explained in the end of the season that she has always chosen him. She liked him, way more than Paxton. I believe she STILL likes him more than Paxton, however, now her superficial reasons for liking Paxton has changed since she has seen a different side of him and got to spend more time with him.

1. No, you're wrong. Devi had feelings for Paxton ever since they were kids. It's literally shown in season 2 that she has liked him for a long time.
2. Paxton wanted her for her body? I haven't felt any sort of sexual tension between them. Season 1 as Devi asking him to have sex, he agreed just because. I'd argue the only person who had superficial feelings towards the other was Devi, not Paxton. He was fine with sleeping with her, didn't mean he ONLY wanted her for her body.
3. I'm pretty sure Ben was there at the pool incident, I'm not sure though. My memory's blurry of season 1.
4. You don't need to have anything in common to be good together?? The only cliché I see here is you believing that people need to have something in common to be compatible, that is such an old mindset.

TLDR: Ben and Devi seem more compatible, I am aware of that. I don't ship any characters in the moment, my whole comment was to discredit misinformation and the incorrect analysis of a character. Many people hate Paxton, calling him selfish while misinterpreting scenes.

Such a great video! Originally I was team Paxton BUT after seeing this video I believe Bens a better match. With Paxton, Devi idealized him and is there’s just sexual desire and no substance other than she helping him find his confidence in academics and with Ben there’s friendship, they challenge each other to be better, they connect on a more deeper level and help each other with family challenges and he supported her when she had a huge fall out with her mom and friends and went above and beyond for her to mend those friend ships.

Kinda mad she didn’t end up with Ben. Paxton was kinda toxic since he cared more about himself but Ben was more committed and Devi felt easier with him. But then Ben did that whole Aneesa thing

1. In Malibu, Ben is wearing navy with white polka dot when they kiss. At the dance, Ben is wearing a white with what looks like navy polka dots. Coincidence they are they inverse?
2. When Ben asks Devi to be his girlfriend, he’s wearing a green shirt with colorful floral print. At the dance, Devi is wearing a green dress with colorful floral embroidery. Are they meant to complement each other in the end?
3. Paxton and Devi’s kiss when he says he came as her bf begins with the song “Love Goes,” making it seem like this is it. But when Paxton and Devi are actually dancing with everyone, the song switches to Say Something (Kylie Minogue) with Ben looking on conflicted. In fact, Devi gets annoyed with the DJ because the moment she goes public with Paxton, it plays this fast song. The chorus of the lyrics are about saying something to reignite an old love:
