44 likes to you a yr opinion … I'm going up to 51 yrs (born in dec.68) … a good Trance espec. incredible Vocal Trance never will die … so much memories, emotions, feelings 17:33 "Touch me" by DJ Rui da Silva is one of my favorites forever … during past 10 years every weekend I look for a night club in Vienna Austria which play good electronic DANCE Music :-)))
This music is my depression cure. I crank it up and all the crap of the last 25 years floats away. It's 1998 again, I'm getting geared up to go out with The Annual on the CD player, back in a rammed, sticky-carpeted club with my mates or winding down on a Sunday night with Dave Pearce on R1. The period 1995-2002 or so was the absolute zenith of club music in this country and it saddens me that my 12yo will never experience spilling out onto the street at 3am with the sun coming up and just bouncing, feeling absolutely on top of the world. I've discovered and enjoyed a lot of musical genres over the years, but this stuff will always be my first love, my coming of age music from some of the best times of my life.

I would pay a million dollars to see this live, that is how much I love it. You would not be able to sleep for days after this experience. The energy is amazing. Music is one of the greatest gifts humanity could have. This is fucking mint!
I am speechless. Full of happy tears. Really miss the days of clubbing when these classics were released! Best part about it ? No phones. Just enjoying the moment
Imagine playing for the orchestra, and your entire career up until this point has been spent playing magnificently in front of a seated, quiet, muted audience, and suddenly you get to play a gig like this and you finally feel the energy of a REAL crowd in front of you absolutely loving your music with every piece of their soul... This would be as unforgettable for the musicians as it was for the crowd....
@@mrpikebishop3725 Thing is, this kind of music is probably not their thing, as they would have grown up with mostly classical music and it's derivatives, however, much of these tracks aren't just stock standard dance music, they are classics, many of which actually have music theory design derived from centuries-old music styles...
48 years old and dancing to this like a loon to this music all through the '90s. I don't think there was a better decade for music in my opinion. Although the '80s come a very close second.
I cant tell you how much this music has meant to me for at least 30 years.I am 51 now with a f*cked up knee. Thank God I have done so many fun things over the years. I shed a tear and salut you.
@@rogsoll You and me both... I will be listening to this over Christmas. I hope you have a good one and despite your dodgy knee find a bit of time to quote myself "Dance like a Loon"
I gotta say, being nearly 60 now, and remembering all those tunes when they hit the decks, going to Ibiza and dancing the nights away, were the best days of my life!! Pete Tong bought back so many memories and adding the orchestra was just epic!!!!!!! I loved every moment of this, thank you!
I am 39. I love this music, loved the 90's, love Chicane especially. My son is 2 years old and i am already teaching him :)). Also...love for the 80's music too. BE HAPPY.
We need more than that to survive, we need the sleeping masses to wake up from their zombie mind control and stand up for their freedoms before society is transformed into a biometric technocracy that makes 1984 look like a children's book.
im a retired dj 65 years old i was ther at the begining of dance etc music played it all the way through the changes and years, and i was lucky enough to play all the big and small clubs too. this version of dance is wonderful
55 n loving the tunes music does something too my soul it Awakens me for sure takes me back too the good old days before all the madness we now see xxx
Empting the last drop from my box of wine while dancing alone and wearing headphones in the garage at 1 a.m. looking a fool to passers-by. How times have changed. :( Oh well. At least I can afford great headphones now.
The more I listen the more I can’t help thinking just how much work will have gone into this. Most of these tracks were made on computers or in studios with various instruments, never thinking one day an entire full live band would be playing the arrangements.
The backup singers two stepping like their lives depended on it throughout the performance makes me happy. Also that drummer...110 minutes of this...his fucking quads.
These superb musicians are THE TOP it all sounds just like yesterday! When they play THE ANTHEM - INSOMNIA OMG spine tingling memories. Thanks to all of you for 'bringin it back' still coming back in 2024 a very OLD clubber now😎

Unbelievable amount of work has gone into getting this to sound as good as it does, Hacienda, Tomorrowland have all done there version and even though they sound good, they don't compare to this
I’ve worked in clubs and bars all my life and insomnia still gives me chills when I hear it. I’m 44 now and must’ve heard it 1000 times. It’s the ULTIMATE club tune It MUST be played it on 11 and in a massive space with 2000 or more people. Sounds even better with an orchestra.
I'm sitting here on 29/12/20 with a glass of wine and decent headphones, but that must be like 5% of what it was like to be there. I'm so jealous, but, good times like these will come around again!
Went to the Nottingham Gig of this 2018, it was absolutely brill!!!! was buzzing for days. Most people at this gig was over 40, just cos your older doesn't mean you cant jump up and rave. When they started the intro to " Insomnia" I was in the loo, never moved so quick in my life!!! ran from one end of the arena to the other at full pelt. I was in my late 50s at the time, but i was Usain bolt on that occasion!!!. OMG that performance of that tune was Insane!!! So need a uplift like that again. :)
@@trutacgear No, we fucked ourselves by not paying attention to the reality of what has been done to the planet. Nature is kicking back and who can blame it? Survival of the fittest is the truth of our evolution. And right now the human race is not fit for purpose. Only we can change that and the only way to do that is by not blaming some FB fuelled misinformation but look to ourselves and how we live our lives.

Wow did this ever make me workout harder than ever, memories of when things were normal . Whoever partied in the late 90's into the 2000 we were so lucky to have experienced these amazing dj's. It's not the same now. Love it!!!! And keep partying hard.. I got to see him on Richmond street with Paul oaken fold and fat boy slim. Yessss Richmond street in Toronto when we had a night life!!!!!
I just fall over this. I love it - I got goose bumps. For me everything here is extra class - every musician - every singer - simply everyone who contributed to it. I think you can tell that this has not been processed, you can feel that all did that with passion to create something lovable. A gift for eternity.
Having lived through the golden years of trance & eurodance , I never thought I'd hear it like this, This is amazing! Three Drives & Touch Me, show me love! Wow!
So jealous. I was born in 88, so I was too young to really experience trance and madchester/britpop on all their glory. My taste in music is easily 10 years older than I am.
You know you're getting old when the songs of your youth get the orchestra treatment. Makes it not so bad. Pretty cool too that electronic music can be interpreted through "real" instruments to quiet the naysayers.
I would love to have been there .look at the quality of the tracks they translate brilliantly with orchestra . Still a set list full of absolute bangers 😁😁
I was there last year on the Friday it was on two nights at the o2 it was great! We stood up to dance!! It’s hard to see it though on the side seats but that’s all there was it was booked up quickly
Insomnia. How 5 tones literally make the history. Love the show. Incredible, tallented people on this stage. Hours spent on making theirs skills top class. Congatulations All.
This shared Joy: 1. Joy of listeners from the brilliant work of the orchestra 2. Joy of the orchestra with good fun that they give to listeners 3. Joy of TH-cam viewers from the satisfaction of the orchestra, the audience and the opportunity to listen to brilliant songs
I might look a different person on the outside but my passion for this is the same inside and keeps me alive! Whatever life throws at me this is my go to restoration.
Children Robert Miles the first song I heard from this genre of music, I was 12 or 13, I loved it and it started my journey of trance, house and Rave. 9pm till I come, another banger. When I get back to the UK, I will be going to one of these shows. ❤ Pete Tong.

Pure dance and freedom
Imagine playing for the orchestra, and your entire career up until this point has been spent playing magnificently in front of a seated, quiet, muted audience, and suddenly you get to play a gig like this and you finally feel the energy of a REAL crowd in front of you absolutely loving your music with every piece of their soul... This would be as unforgettable for the musicians as it was for the crowd....
Can not agree more on this. I love classic music, as well as techno, so I can imagine what u r saying
Yep.
One of the reasons I enjoy watching these so much is to see the grins/ joy on their faces. It's just great.
@@mrpikebishop3725 Thing is, this kind of music is probably not their thing, as they would have grown up with mostly classical music and it's derivatives, however, much of these tracks aren't just stock standard dance music, they are classics, many of which actually have music theory design derived from centuries-old music styles...
It's an amazing feeling!!

I don't usually use this phrase but... Those musicians are literally living their best lives. They are absolutely buzzing
Agree. Don't forget we are living ours because we are alive to be blessed to hear this. Amazing
Reliving their youth
That’s why musicians have more re brains than MPS we are mesmerised with their creativity and hope it continues.
I am 39. I love this music, loved the 90's, love Chicane especially. My son is 2 years old and i am already teaching him :)). Also...love for the 80's music too. BE HAPPY.
I was expecting Saltwater, TBH
Are U me?? :) same story here
All of a sudden those musicians are released from the chains of the classic music. See the happiness in their eyes and movements! :))
I will never look at an orchestra the same again. This was pure genius
It just works so well doesnt it? I'm not a fan of classic music at all, but this is genius.

Beginning of 2021.....we need THIS kind of Music to make us feel better...to keep the spirits up...to survive!
We need more than that to survive, we need the sleeping masses to wake up from their zombie mind control and stand up for their freedoms before society is transformed into a biometric technocracy that makes 1984 look like a children's book.

Now, That's What I Call A Concert!
Word!
My ears have never been so happy!
The more I listen the more I can’t help thinking just how much work will have gone into this. Most of these tracks were made on computers or in studios with various instruments, never thinking one day an entire full live band would be playing the arrangements.

Unbelievable amount of work has gone into getting this to sound as good as it does, Hacienda, Tomorrowland have all done there version and even though they sound good, they don't compare to this

Went to the Nottingham Gig of this 2018, it was absolutely brill!!!! was buzzing for days. Most people at this gig was over 40, just cos your older doesn't mean you cant jump up and rave.
