    This is a better video than previous ones I've seen as it showed a lot of the foods with close ups and the narration was good

    Everything looks good but what really caught my attention was the fresh water eel, that´s just something new to me and just looks delicious. I really have to try it out soon.

    Hey, just some thoughts on your commentary. I noticed that you differentiate the types of tuna into maguro, chu-toro and o-toro. I'm not too sure but based on what I've learned from Jiro Dreams of Sushi, maguro means tuna and the different variants are akami (lean), chu-toro (medium fatty) and o-toro (fatty). So using maguro to specify the lean part of tuna is actually not specific enough.
    Thanks so much for the videos though, enjoy watching them tremendously. My wish is that I can eat at all these best restaurants one day.

      You're wrong and right, maguro is used to talk about lean bluefin tuna

    I will add though that L.A. does have Pulitzer Prize winning food critic Jonathan Gold who lists his top 101 restaurants every year.

    So, you got some "ass" in LA., did you?? Haha, just kidding Bud! I am curious about that urchin, I haven't found a place locally that serves it.

    I was a bit confused by the hamachi wing. I've never scene that anywhere. Like is it the fin of the fish? or did you mean hamachi comma? it looked really good though.

    • @GrillWasabi
      @GrillWasabi 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's serve at my friend's sushi buffet. It's pretty good.

    • @gibsonflyingv2820
      @gibsonflyingv2820 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ah so you've had it? so is it the fishes flipper fin thing? or is it a collar?

    • @GrillWasabi
      @GrillWasabi 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Orange Fender well I had both per say only because the pieces my friend serve is the collar and fin area. depending on how it's being cut and serve I guess.

    • @gibsonflyingv2820
      @gibsonflyingv2820 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ohhh so he was eating hamachi collar but refered to it as a wing because it's close to the fin area? ahhh ok that makes much more sense.

    • @GrillWasabi

      It's hard to tell which part it is because It's not the skin side that is showing.

    It's true. Michelin hasn't rated restaurants in Los Angeles since 2009.
