    Great video idea Cathy! Overtraining is definitely something that is not discussed enough that needs to be discussed more! I have definitely experienced symptoms of overtraining and I think the most important thing for me is listening to my body. Whenever I feel pain, I lower my intensity and monitor it. Knowing what is normal for my body is very helpful in avoiding overtraining, even though I still fall into it from time to time because I love my sport so much ❤! Thank you for touching on this subject and wishing everyone happiness and health in this upcoming season 😃

    I have chronic illness so I'm way behind everyone so I would usually overtrain and up getting more so ,so I had to start listening to my body and not comparering myself

      YES that is the right mentality- never compare yourself to others and take good care of your body so you can do what you love for longer

    oh my god I really needed this Kathy, currently recovering from a BUNNYHOP injury and was beating myself up for taking time off - ironically its one of my worst ones all from a bunnyhop. thank you for putting things into perspective

    Hi! I just found your TH-cam channel and have been binge watching your ice skating videos!
    Not sure if you already have a video on this, how many hours do you ice skate a week?
    Did you do this during all levels of skating?
    What amount of time was coaching, and what amount was independent time?
    I’m currently an adult in free skate 1 and my goal is to get to adult pre-bronze, and then to keep going to gold! You’re a great inspiration!!

    Am I overtraining?
    If I had the motivation and self discipline for that I’d be a lot better at skating than I am rn🥲
