KRV 160P where are you now? At 17 in ‘76 I took the exact same model to Scotland from the south coast of England. My parents took their Hillman Avenger and as a surly teenager (not much has changed except the longer hair has all disappeared) I followed behind. The south was burnt the colour of straw, but when we reached Carlisle it was so green. The heatwave never reached t’north west. Then onto Scotland and by now the Kawasaki had stopped smoking and was running like a rocket. My abiding memory of Scotland was riding through the Gorbals on my way to Bearsden to visit my parent’s friends. I stopped at a set of traffic lights and the coppers were patrolling in pairs and the grim tenement blocks surrounded me and wasteland was all around. It was like something out of Gormenghast, it was grim up north. So thank you for ripping me back in your Time Machine, would it be the same today? Who knows, but whoever buys that bike will have so many new memories to make.
A lovely original KH 250 B1 except for the sparkplug caps.

Had one of these in red, brings back so many memories, VFM 898R, probably consigned to the scrapheap by now.
