    Hi Chris,
    to adjust the memory cheek piece:
    1. just press the button to the first rest --> the cheek piece jumps out
    2. press further to the second rest and hold it like this --> the cheek piece will jump to the maximum
    3. while still holding the button pressed in completely now adjust the cheek piece to your required position and let the button go
    4. the memory mechanism is now set to this poistion --> when you got your setting only use the first stage of the button for the use of the cheek piece

    Great review and thanks for the long detailed video. Ive been a proud owner of an R8 owner in 308 for the past 8 month, they are a phenomenal piece of kit, extremely safe and accurate. seriously thinking of getting a new barrel in a smaller caliber.

    Hi Chris...Well let me tell you...The way you present your videos is fantastic. ! So informative, and such a great knack of explaining all the features and benefits of each of your reviewd products. Great job! Now I have to take the soda bottles back to save up for a Blaser R8 :) Kindest regards, keep up the great work!

    I have always used winchester super x in my old bruno and with some old ammo of 3 years ago it will do a one hole 5 shot groop at 50 yards, Just bought 500 rounds of new winchester super x and it is crap . you can get 3 in one hole then 1 two inches away and then the forth back in the groop again. Will not be buying that ammo again.
    Good reviews, Keep it up Chris

    Great review! I have been thinking about buying one myself, but can't decide between to have a different rifle or have to switch barrels etc every time I want to shoot a .22...
    A small tip though is that you talk about the speed with the pistol grip. You don't need to remove the thumb, just cycle the rifle with your other fingers. It makes it faster and easier to stay in a comfortable grip!

    • @chrisparkin431
      @chrisparkin431  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alfred Johnsson have you shot driven boar? Fast secure gun handling is crucial and unless you have finger like E.T., i can imaging cycling the bolt with permanent grip?

    • @affejo94
      @affejo94 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chrisparkin431 Hahaha my fingers are short so not even close to E.T! I agree about gun security is number one priority, but for me cycling the rifle works perfectly without any real downside with the thumb still in the pistolgrip imo. For me it even helps me to stay on target and keep a good grip on the rifle. I have not had the time to hunt driven boar yet since i recently bought it though....
      All i do is use my index and middle finger to cycle the bolt while my thumb stays in the pistol-grip, quick motion and it works really well!

    Great video well done. Too heavy for me (thank god) Has to be 7.5 lbs all up and 13.25" L.O.P.. I will not compromise. The carbon is doable but wow the price is way way beyond my pay grade

    Hi Chris. Great review and video. What is the name and brand of the moderator you are using in the video? I have not been able to find a little and light .22lr moderator that fits the specs of a Blaser Rimfire.

    I enjoyed that Chris and as someone who hasn't bought into the Blaser system (yet! 😁) you will be a good person to ask..
    Already have an R8 Pro success with 6.5x55, 22-250 and 300wtby barrels... I'm in the market to change my browning t-bolt rimmy (inaccurate, horrid trigger.. I could go on!).. Was considering pushing the boat out and px-Ing for an anschutz but your vid got me thinking..
    If I went for the Blaser 22 conversion I would have more trigger time with my beloved 😊 could swap my NV straight onto it for the bunnies and, it would appear from your review, get me a very accurate 22 to boot for around the same cost.
    My mate (who is also a Blaser owner) says I shouldn't do it and should stick to having separate rifles but I'm swaying the Blaser way!!
    Your thoughts and input would be appreciated.
    Paul

    Why the vigorous slamming of the bolt action?

    • @chrisparkin431
      @chrisparkin431  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mike MacDonald to illustrate the speed of a Blaser, also speed of inherent bolt momentum causes less rifle movement than a slow mechanical push. It's not deliberate, it just develops naturally with Blaser rifles unless decreasing noise is a priority when hunting.
