The only flying type Steven Stone has is Skarmory…
He flew on the back of a METAL BIRD in the middle of a THUNDERSTORM.
    Best champion ever.

Tbf, your chances of getting hit on a metal bird or nonmetal bird is about the same. Regardless of what animal you're riding, if you are struck you'd probably die either way, lol.

People play Smash Brawl to combat the feeling of alienation the feel but it also leads them to kill because people don’t know about the intricacies of Glide usage for Meta Knight and wobbling and they feel that if you do not peal to those heights of fighting excellence, you are not living your life.

I only found you a week or two ago, but I've been binging your content since. Your dedication to your videos is insane, and the quality that you consistently put out is great too. You always sound so invested in your runs, even though it's your 100th time playing through the game. I appreciate your nicknaming themes, and the fact that you exclusively call the pokemon BY their nicknames in the video. It makes them feel unique and important! And WOW, there are FEW youtubers who would actually reset a late-game wipe like this. The time investment, dedication, and skill really makes all your content enjoyable!

"Imagine his power if I hadn't already used my Bulk Up TM on Marla"
Doesn't...doesn't Combusken learn Bulk Up by level-up at level 27-28?

    • @765craven4
      @765craven4 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

He wanted to have Bulk Up earlier. Assuming 28 is when he learns it his Combusken wouldn't have it until Flannery, meaning he'd have to hit the cap for Flannery before he fights Archie. He basically needed his Combusken to have Bulk Up for the Archie fight too.

I like how the narrative of the nuzlocke weaved itself into a type of fight club narrative, most boticeably with Steven, but even with throwaway lines like "his name was Robert Paulson." That was cool! And I really liked the ending.
I really disliked the Glacia music though. I'm probably in the minority, but it just didn't fit the moment for me.
I like that you keep exploring what Nuzlockes are supposed to be, melding them with your pre-existing interest in film. RuPaul would be proud that you're using what you've got, and not letting your inner saboteur get the best of yourself. Then again, Ru doesn't watch Nuzlockes

Since this is your gateway into romhacks, may I introduce you to Inclement Emerald?:
    - Gen 8 battle mechanics
    - All mons up to gen 7(8 is wip)
    - Many QoL changes implemented(infinite TM, HM works like BDSP, Escape Rope is now a Key Item,...)
    - New zones to discover and vary a lot in encounter
    - Wild Encounters and trainers mons will scale with your team’s lv
    - Buffs and changes to trash/underrated mons(Competitive Pyroar, pseudo-legendary Vikavolt and the most important - TINTED LENS FLYGON) [Flygon also have a new ability called Sand Song]

Amazing run. Medicham used to be so good in gen 3, I remember loving the one I had in Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness.
Also, I have come up with a really cool idea for a hardcore nuzlocke you may enjoy that may be easiest in Soulsilver, but can be done in any game/generation: Single-stage pokemon only. In Soulsilver, you can get Dunsparce and Unown before gym one and get a total of 12 encounters! (From what I've seen of other gens you have to do at least one important battle before getting a single-stage pokemon, but by using universal pokemon randomizer you could swap starter for first encounter easily)

Another rule I thought of for these runs is the "competitive rule" where both teams in a major battle have to use the same number of Pokémon. Meaning you can only go into a battle with Brawley for example with 2 Pokémon, and you won't be able to use all 6 in a major battle until the Elite 4.
