Yessss experience over gifts!! I have finally convinced the grandparents of this. My kids do not need more toys! Talk about waste. I’m also going to try to switch over to glass containers.
This is a great video. I use the clothe pads and I love them. I found that I was wasting pads by wearing them and nothing happened. Also I did the NO physical gifts for Christmas one year. Family really did not understand it but I gave them a coupon for us to spend quality time together - have a meal together, watch a movie or just hang out. It went really well.
Omg yay I’m so happy I got this video on my feed, I’m moving into my 1st place and I was in a clouded headspace of things I need and things I always wanted . I.e just buy another diffuser that I like for upstairs and don’t buy plug ins, splurge on the glass because it’s true I’ll forget about the plastic at work. I’m now notifitication squad !:)
Yes to sunglasses! I bought a pair of $250 Randolph's as a gift for paying off my student loans. I've had them for 4 years and they are the only pair I own.
I didn’t get pregnant until I planned to- also with no birth control or condoms With my now husband for 10 years.. Knowing your body, keeping track of your periods and periods of ovulation can really work for those who can’t use or are uncomfortable using birth control. I was terrified from a close friends experience being hospitalized with blood clots from the BC. Use BC if you have to and don’t do this if you are not in a completely trust-filled committed relationship! Blessings to all and stay safe!
So glad your channel came up on my feed! I’ve just bought my first house and you have given me so many great ideas! Do you have any suggestions for where to get faux flowers? Thank you so much! X
I have plants, not too much faux flowers and only in dark corners of my home. Stil not really sure if I like it..🤔 I always have fresh flowers (I live in Holland⚘)because it brings me such a big boost of happiness! No, no body mists & plugins for me, I work for luxery perfums and scented candels (mostly natural) brend so I really smell the difference. The best, chiapest en cleanest way to parfum your home are the essential oils (and products based on them). Thank you for great video, Judi!
For if you forget your cloth bags reuse them I bought this thing at IKEA where you hand it up and it stores your plastic bags so you can use them for storage reasons or to use as trash bags.
This was really a good video! I’ve gotten rid of a lot of what you mentioned. However, there were some things on your list really made me think or really pushed me toward not buying them anymore. So here’s my list based on this video I will no longer buy: Paper plates yikes that hurts Tupperware that hurts too Plastic bags I have some prep pandemic but I throw them all away when my delivery arrive Cheap jewelry Sun glasses Body sprays Mouth wash I need to look into natural panty liners tho. I’m 60 so I don’t have to worry myself with a period or babies hallelujah for that! Great job!
Loved this! I haven’t made the transitions fully to glass tubberware myself but as my old ones are up for replacements I am getting glass ones too. As for plastic bags, I started taking my own produce bags to the grocery store as well so I no longer use the weird long ones for veggies (I also rarely get my veggies at the grocery store I did switch to imperfect foods and I am loving that). If disposable KCups are a must for people there are a few brands that decompose 90 days after use (San Francisco Bay in one and you can find them at Costco) and if you use nespresso they have their own recycling program as well. We transitioned to experiences for gifts a few years ago for Christmas gifts and our family really enjoys it!
I love the idea of giving an experience and am going to implement that. My children have been giving me massages for every occasion. I get weekly massages as part of my self-care so it gives my budget a break, they don’t have to spend time thinking about what to give me and I love massages!
Thanks for the video. We too use a diffuser. Stopped buying candles and plugins. We no longer buy paper products. Use napkins and cloths to clean. Also stopped buying a ton of expensive cleaning products. I use bleach, vinegar and baking soda. Also, don't buy bottled water. Agree with the Ray-Ban purchase. We keep ours in the vehicle and all the drivers use them. Our main pair is the family pair and stays in the car so they don't get broken. One of positive of cancer, early menopause and no feminine products!!! Thanks again for sharing.
Thanks Judi for this video and for being so honest aboutsome of things you dont buy. It does make a lot of sense and of course saves money. It is wise to stop buying things that we longer need or harms the environment or is just a waste of time. And most important you have less clutter in your home. Good video!
I'm in complete agreement with you Judith. I'm trying to live a less wasteful, less clutter, more sustainable lifestyle. I found a diaphragm (old school!) to be an excellent birth control method. I only needed 2,maybe 3 during my reproductive years. I could not handle the standard hormonal contraceptives. Great conversations. 😊
Thank you, this was a great video. I hope you continue to add to this playlist. BTW I have to say, if you're a pad girl, you might prefer a product like Thinx. I made the switch a few years ago, and have been very happy with my decision. I'm still using the 5 pairs I purchased originally. That's A LOT of reduced waste from the disposable products I was using.
I agree -- K cups are really a waste unless you are in an office or have multiple people with varying tastes at home. If one has to have a K-cup, then the re-useable cup is brill! One thing that I don't buy -- drawer dividers. It is a lot less expensive to pick up brackets at the hardware store and cut light birch plywood to height and length. But that isn't for everyone, either! :)
Honestly I think if you did a video elaborating more on why you don't use birth control and how you have been able to make it work is a good topic to talk about. Birth control can really mess with your body/hormones
I was very glad for your later video on the cup. I was going to get one but am very active at one of my jobs. I do not think it is for me . The cloth pads for me too
Its pretty neat to see what makes up a person and what we all like, to me $100 for sunglasses no way... no ty...... but a subscription to a flower company yes please!!! I love flowers buuut I cant garden ever due to allergies. Now you have me looking for flower subscriptions at 6am when I should be declutter my bedroom... lol
Greetings! Love seeing a Melinated women on here holding it down at home. I have a question, ! You mentioned about know when you ovulate and all, monitoring it for like 5 years. Can you help a SIStah out on what helped you do that? Or can you please share more info on that? Thank you so much!!
I’m so sad bc I lost a glass container of mine 😭 I think i left it at my old job (I got fired due to covid) and it seems like someone probably thought it was theirs and took it 💔
Tupperware is not cheap at all. I think you meant to say Rubbermaid. Some people tend to call all plastic containers, Tupperware, but as a real & true buyer of the brand Tupperware, no ma’am. It is not cheap and if one chooses to buy in bulk, they.... or we will spend hundreds of dollars on the quality of real Tupperware. I have been using my Tupperware for more than 20 years and the condition is still top notch.
Just like cheap sunglasses, cheap body spray is a no no. I love my plants, real ones. Cheap jewelry is just junk, I buy real fine jewelry that I love. I sometimes take something to the jeweler for a restyle.
Tupperware isn’t cheap! Why do so many ORGANIZERS & regular folks keep calling Rubbermaid & other cheap plastic the brand name Tupperware? There is a difference!
You're right there is. I guess we put all cheap plastic containers in one group when there's a lot of great quality options. That's for calling that out.
As a former Tupperware consultant of many years, I see red when someone calls anything plastic Tupperware. There is a big difference! Tupperware is not toxic, as is most plastic. I am always amazed when Tupperware that cost $30.00 new can be had at a yard sale or thrift store for a dollar or less. FYI-Earl Tupper was a real shit-LOL! If you look him up, you’ll find he was a terrible man. I love your videos, Judi. I already use a lot of your ideas. Instead of toothpaste, I brush with baking soda and rinse with peroxide.
Just found you and I think we were separated at birth. LOL I do all of these. I don't do the KCups but just use a regular coffee maker. :) If you find a company that makes realistic fake flowers, please share!
I love glass containers for leftovers! They clean so easily and don't stain!
Patti S I 💯 agree.
Yessss experience over gifts!! I have finally convinced the grandparents of this. My kids do not need more toys! Talk about waste. I’m also going to try to switch over to glass containers.

Annaí C yayyyy welcome and congratulations on your new place! How exciting!!!
Yes to sunglasses! I bought a pair of $250 Randolph's as a gift for paying off my student loans. I've had them for 4 years and they are the only pair I own.
So you get it!
Menstrual cups are a HUGE learning curve but seriously amazing
I didn’t get pregnant until I planned to- also with no birth control or condoms With my now husband for 10 years.. Please do more of what you don't buy and skincare, which one use for natural deordant
I definitely will do another one in the near future.

DeeplyRootedDJ thank you!! That’s a great list and I’m happy my video was able to help you come up with this list. Yayyyy to no more cycles!!

Wow! Great video with some different ways to look at things.
You sure are brave for telling the "secrets " you did.
Well done on the editing!
I am falling in love with your channel. I can’t wait to start organizing my life!
Awww thank you!
I love the idea of giving an experience and am going to implement that. My children have been giving me massages for every occasion. I get weekly massages as part of my self-care so it gives my budget a break, they don’t have to spend time thinking about what to give me and I love massages!
This is my favorite video of yours. Thank you for caring and sharing.
Awwww, thank you and you're welcome!
Thanks for the video.

I'm new to your channel and loved the list. I could relate to pretty much your entire list. The menstrual cups have been a God send!

I love your paint color. Do you mind sharing what it is.
Is there a diffuser and essential oil brand you recommend?
I'm in complete agreement with you Judith. I'm trying to live a less wasteful, less clutter, more sustainable lifestyle.

I am so happy I found this video. These are some great ideas.
I’m so happy you found it. Happy it resonated with you!

Loved this video, the message, the background, the music all on point. Well done.
Thank you so much, Charmaine!

Hi Judy I have bought lego flowers, bonzi, and orchid I decorate with them all they need is a brushing with a soft paint brush
Nice! I’ve never heard of Lego flowers but they sound fun.

If you’re still on the hunt try searching for permanent botanicals instead of faux flowers hope this helps
LOVED this video!
The physical gifts is a great one... food for thought.

I like having a diffuser for the house because I do spend a lot of money on plug-ins.
It makes such a huge difference.
Take outs and street vendors still uses plastic bags, but I had always use them for trash. I don't understand why people don't.
This is so helpful!! Already on amazon for glass containers!!!
Hamna they’re the best! Happy you found it helpful.
I was very glad for your later video on the cup. I was going to get one but am very active at one of my jobs. I do not think it is for me . The cloth pads for me too
The menstrual cup video would be helpful. I hate wasting and been thinking about this as well. Peace!
Honestly, I'm still working on being comfortable using them but once I master it, I'll create a video.
Its pretty neat to see what makes up a person and what we all like, to me $100 for sunglasses no way... no ty...... but a subscription to a flower company yes please!!! how is the menstrual cup coming along and the cloth pads
I’ve been interested in trying a menstrual cup
I love your channel.
Thank you so much!

Have you ever tried Therabreath?
I plant flowers in my garden only.
I need some pointers for planting flowers. Any tips?
I would like to see the menstrual cup video please! Great video btw!
I’m so sad bc I lost a glass container of mine 😭 I think i left it at my old job (I got fired due to covid) and it seems like someone probably thought it was theirs and took it 💔

@@nancybaker6011 Thanks so much for letting me know this. I'm definitely educated on this now.
Just found you and I think we were separated at birth. LOL I do all of these. I don't do the KCups but just use a regular coffee maker. :) If you find a company that makes realistic fake flowers, please share!
Kim Carroll lol hi sis!!! I sure will.
Faux flower are a no for me plastics and bad Industry I would much rather be environmentaly friendly and buy from my local market garden in season.
thanks for your advice Sarah!
Why do videos of this nature not show us examples and the hosts stay OFF- CAMERA . Good Lord, we have to look at you the entire video??
