- In today's video, we show you the first of our new arrivals from Basel. In our post Basel wrap-up, we showed you many new watches we were working on bringing into our store. Today, we are happy to bring you the first video, highlighting three new colors of the SqualeMatic watch.
Squale released a Navy, Chocolate and two-tone bezel model for 2017. This 600 Meter diver is a gorgeous piece that follows up on the success of the 50 atmos (1521) models.

After watching this vid multiple times, my OCD finally got the better of me and I pulled the trigger on the root beer today. I’ve got several blue dial watches in the collection already but nothing like that root beer. My first Squale. Great looking watches! Update: the root beer dial arrived today - awesome watch - looks amazing in person, fits great, it is everything Marc describes in this video. Highly recommended.
Wow! Just wow! This is the best explanation of the spring drive movement I have ever heard. I knew the basics before, and was not that much into spring drive, but I have just learned new details on the mechanics of the movement, which are very appealing

Omg Mark these look so much better in real life with your real nice videography. I was not even giving this line a good first look yet a second glance because of the pics Squale put out. Thanks for more great and informative videos. Still trying to make my mind up between the Alpine GMT Ceramica or the Tropic Ceramica, and now maybe one of these.

you are absolutely right. I saw the pictures some time ago and pass on it because it didn't catch my eye. the video is miles better than the official pictures. They seriously need to retake those shots.

Been eyeing these up for a while. Planning on one as a reward gift to myself at some point. My favorite of course is that bright Carribean blue one. Man does that pop out with wrist presence. This new navy blue one is tempting too but I found dark blue watches tend to be a bit more common than bright blue.
That is true. Lately dark blue is getting more and more common. That green-blue they do is killer.
Orange has never been a favorite color of mine but if a watch has accents I think that looks real nice. because of the colors it really accentuates the Orange. very nicely made.

Very very nice additions. It's all personal preference of course, but I find my Ocean Blasted 1521 on the Vintage Leather strap hard to beat.

Marc, I like the video. Love the blue and the brown dials. A question though, how many clicks does the bezel take to turn? Is it 60 or 120 clicks?

I love the root beer and dark blue. I am saving now for one. I can't decide if I want the root beer, the dark blue, or the light blue in the other video you did. I can only afford one. Which would you suggest? Which looks best in person?

OK, Appreciate the video's. Does that model watch come with a mess bracelet?
You said that we should not botter to scratch the bezel. How come since it is very soft material and you can scratch it really easily. I bought one month ago a brand new Squale 60 and I was socked because brand new watch already had lots of scratches and micro holes on the bezel! It is very soft material and you can sctach it even by your nail!

All the watches look great but I can't understand why they would supply a dive watch with a leather strap from new.
I think its more style than function, especially since the bezel isn't graduated with numbers.

I really want to have a Squale, the case design is one of the best, but I am always worried that it might be too blingy...

New watch always have protective film that required to peel off before use. What if I use new watch and keep the protective film in it?
Felix Shih Nothing, but that film won't offer much protection and might not want to stay on after a while.

I would love it if squale would build a full orange 1521 diver, with a complete orange bezel and light orange dail. I would also love it if squale would try some kind of cushion/turtle case. The "chocolate" looks ok, but far too serious for a squale watch. ;=)
Maybe one day! They used have an orange dial 1521 but stopped.

The almost-fully-graduated bezel is odd. I can't think of why the markings are omitted from 30-45. Strange.
It is strange. I asked Squale originally and it is strictly aesthetics.
Nolan Reed I can tell you why, when you decompress mot of the time it will be 5 to 15 minutes. So if you have to decompress for 15 minutes, you set the bezel to 45, when you get to the pip your finished with decompressing. So now your bezel is clocking your surface time without adjustment. Hope this helps!!! I think it's a great design...

Can't buy of E-bay as all seems fake to me - no offense to genuine sellers - but just doesn't feel right. I do see you have the blue-black monster available at your store and do you ship to India?

99% of watches these days are way too big, too much bling, bling for me.
37-39mm is a good fit for someone with an actual active arm, anything bigger is just for show and can't really be used as a "Sports" watch, try going for a run with that on your wrist and you will see what I mean.
I'm sure they look great if you are wearing a wetsuit and goggles and need the large size to make sure you don't over stay your oxygen level, but on on Terra firma/out of the water, gravity and actual "Sports" activity makes them a pain to wear.

As a pro diver i MUST have large professional divers watches! But even were im not working i still wear lge watches...
Squale has gotten way too overpriced for what they are.
Swiss Made diver with cool designs? I think they are priced right in the ballpark. Of course that's my opinion.
