Newer model compacts won’t drop free using these brakes because CZ increased the thickness of the area with the screw holes. You can modify the brake by slightly bending it at the area of the bend near the grip screw hole.
I watched this video, just to see if it makes any real difference. I bought a Springfield P9 months back, and noticed the mag brake was missing. For $10, I can't really complain. Made my own brake pin, just waiting for the brake...
Derek Cooley its a nice cheap upgrade especially for those who like to do such things. The performance is the same. The quality of material is definately better. But it could best benefit someone who had an issue with the OEM part and needed a replacement.

I'm going to try and bend the stock break so I can save a couple bucks! Thanks for the vid
I had to look at your video to make sure I had my mag brake in correctly. You're off cam some of the time but I'm sure you know that. :)
As much trouble as I’m having putting this oem one back on I’m about to order one my damn self!
Got it. What helped was to actually cut off like 4mm off the over hanging bottom like Cajun gun works mentions in a video.

I am curious if you thought about going to the smooth plug? The one without the lanyard loop.
I see others that have done that. I just dont have a preference either way.
