Addressing parliament for the first time since Friday’s attack, Jacinda Ardern said the accused would face 'the full force of the law'

This is not a leader I want. I want a leader that doesnt use a tragedy to steal away my rights. Jacinda Ardern has clearly handled the aftermath of the Christchurch tragedy magnificently.
She has shown herself to be strong and wise and compassionate.

Absolutely amazing person. 5 of my fellow countrymen (Bangladesh) were in that 49 victims and our cricket team were barely able to escape the horrific attack arriving couple of minutes late to the Al Noor mosque. The way She handled the situation should be the new norm and guideline for the other world leader to follow to address Any kind of hate crime. Personally I would like to thank every New Zealanders for supporting the families of those victims and congratz electing such an amazing PM.

I live on the other side of the planet in Germany. When I listened to her speach, Jacinda Ardern conveyed a message of WE ARE ONE. This really touched my heart. I wish we had leaders like that in Germany. I just wanted to say that my right arm receives that band of true and honest empathy from NZ and my left hand sends it back to NZ. All around the planet. Great words from Jacinda Arden,Prime Minister of New Zealand. As an Irish woman living in a country with a complex political history of racial tension, it was very heartening to see Maori and Kiwi side by side performing the Maori ceremonial mourning passages with such fierce pride and passion. Where in the World do we see a sight like this at a moment like this..? They do you proud, New Zealand. Murdering families at ...prayer...is unconscionable .There is no battle cry that justifies slaughtering peacefully praying men women and children. We seem to forget in War and in indiscriminate acts of killing like this that all churches were supposed to be -sanctuaries,right back to ancient greece. You dont come to any chuch to kill. This killer was a sick man, a murderer, and a coward. New Zealand is better than him, working to heal its own historic wounds -and in its response under the leadership of this PM, showing the rest of the World how to come together and be in unity about violence.
