1:59 yes they are behind bars, but the condition my Black people grew up and set us up for failure from the start. The higher ups knew that the jail were gonna be filled with Black people and we never stood a chance. They went into prison blind, but now they are woke and very intelligent, but the downside is that they’re doing life sentences and have to keep all that knowledge behind bars crazy when you think about it because even though they are claimed to be the worst in society the knowledge that they can teach our young brothers on the outside world that’s gonna end up like them is very golden.

I’m always crying when I hear about youth incarceration being so long. My son was sentenced to 99yrs for an agg robb, and he was 16yrs old. He is now 40. The victim received 7 stitches and her car was returned to the same spot where it was taken. I believe no crime should go unpunished but the punishment should fit the crime. You have criminals who commit far worse crimes involving death and
they receive a far less sentence. These young people deserve a second chance. I read that the kids
who end up in prison are the poor, single parent homes, low income homes etc. That is not true in our case. I wish Texas had a program like this to hear what the younger inmates have to say. Most have self educated themselves and feel they can give back to the community based on their experiences to prevent other youth from going down the wrong path. Good luck to all especially the young man who’s been incarnate since he was 16yrs old. You will be the one to change the system. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

a locked up voice isnt as loud as a voice of freedom who changed their ways before the life sentence .. And its selfish to be married with a life sentence. Let that woman enjoy her life being loved and cared for by someone she can touch and hold. what the hell can you do for her in this present state.

Growing up in America you have to be grateful if you made it out of gang infested environments or if you came from a home that was full of abuse and trauma. Never take that for granted . As a child I was neglected by both of my parents and I could have easily gotten caught up in the street life. Somehow I made it out but at the same time I know I could have easily became caught up in the system like these men. Stay motivated 💪🙏🏾

clearly you didnt see the fact that he was 16 when he went in. correct, there are consequences for doing wrong, but life at 16 is steep. im sure that you like 99% of us broke the law as a juvenile, whether it was underage drinking, smoking weed, or fighting (all minor, all crimes), so its very difficult for me to say that a 16 year old should get a life sentence, i dont know what these men did but anything less than the most heinous of heinous crimes (school shooting, molesting babies, etc) then this sentence is crazy!!

Life is about choices !!! And at 16 we all made some good and bad choices! We knew right from wrong!! And life is the consequence of this guy's bad decision at 16yrs old !!! (Thinking about the people that were affected by his bad choice)..!!! PS the best way to beat the system is to stay out of the system !!!
