You forgot about file system access on Android
Ya basically.. I can pull up my downloads, document, and alot more.. by just going to (My files) it's great
Well, with the new android 13 update, they restricted that for apps access, they didn't remove it, but made it a hassle.

Funny thing about the curser is it used to work. Then somewhere along the line they just broke it and decided that was ok. Used to at least get a nice magnifying glass to see where the curser was and you could move it specifically where you wanted it if you had any issues. Now the curser is just hidden under your finger so you can’t see the exact location and it never goes where it’s supposed to.
I think they assume everyone knows about holding down space bar to move the cursor
@@GamerTown-cm4gk well that’d be dumb of them to assume that because I wasn’t aware of this lol. That’s not exactly intuitive and it’s not like they give out instructions with their phones or never ending updates. Apart from discovering it on accident unless people watch videos to find this stuff out there’s no way of knowing any of the hidden gestures and controls that change all the time. Plus they could have left the magnifying glass and did the spacebar deal. They didn’t have to take that away from those of us that didn’t know about this new fangled space bar technology.
I still get a magnifying glass on my ipad, although I don't have an iphone to see if it really is gone from iphone (seriously, why is iPasOS so much better?).
You have to click away from where you want to go and then click where you want to be.

Another huge benefit of Android is that You can use browsers that have desktop extensions. Kiwi can use pretty much any Chrome extension and now Firefox. Maemo unironically had a lot of potential for a bit, and still had functions I've yet to see anywhere else (unified messaging app with extensions, so I could message people regardless of via text, Skype, MSN messenger or around 10 other protocols from within the standard messaging app). Symbian peaked at S60 and couldn't scale any further.
Nokia never released a Maemo/Meego phone that they really focused on. It was only for "the nerds" and never targeted to the average guy and girl...
I still love Belle, it would run for about 3 weeks per charge on a modern phone!
Headphones jack hit different 😂
But many Android phones no longer have a headphone jack. Fortunately, most better Android phones support the Qualcomm AptX or Sony LDAC standard for high quality audio over Bluetooth.
Sony experia phones from 2023( and maybe 2024) and gaming phones from 2023 2024 like rog and redmagic , they all have audio jack and Sony has micro sd too. Huawei also has something similar to sd they call it nano memory, the p60 pro has it. All these are premium flagship with top of the line chip , and the Sony also has best cameras for manual use , and Huawei Is as flagship as a Samsung phone or iphone.
@@wheely4405those phones also get like 1-2 years of OS support making them near worthless after the first year. Easier and cheaper to put headphones jacks and SD card trays than support a phone for over 4 years But charge like $1300+

Most underrated manufacturer. Entire edge series is 10/10 for the price!
So does Sony
Yeah some of their models do, but they're flagship. Edge series does not unfortunately. That's really where I would love to see it because that's where the company is. A really taking it away is the flagship. But they still have SD card and headphone jack on some of their budget devices, Samsung does on some as well but not many more
The Moto Ace, the Moto stylus Moto g200 I think Moto G100...
But the really powerhouse phones like the Moto edge 50 ultra do not have them.
But at least they come with chargers in the box and pretty fast charging by the western market standards anyways.
@@WaffleusRexYes, and Sony is actually pretty much the last to leave the headphone jack and the SD card on their flagship devices. Oneplus, Motorola, and even a little bit of Samsung, will still occasionally have the budget phones with a headphone jack and an SD card. Sony pretty much stands alone now in offering both in a flagship.
Asus offers a headphone jack but no SD card. There's a few others. Some gaming phones. But Sony is pretty much the only one that offers you the headphone jack ending SD card on their phones with the flagship processors. But boy they are expensive.
I guess I could look into their mid-range market. You of course can get them used but they don't get a ton of software support. Believe me, I want to vote with my wallet and get a Sony but they've kind of priced me out when I can get a pixel 8 for 400 bucks or a OnePlus 12R for 400 bucks.
Right now I'm still mostly just using an LG v60 though which is still great, and has both SD card and headphone jack and stylus support and a dual screen case

As a Galaxy S23 user, I can confirm that iPhones are overpriced to be E-Waste, but I can also confirm that my fully touchscreen Blackberry Leap 10 was the best phone I used. Those gestures man! They were so good and the UI was very consistent and beautiful!
Okay that's a stretch
I've used both Apple and Samsung, I like Samsung better, but I feel like I have a fairly objective view of both companies' products.
Apple overcharges for storage and ram upgrades even more than Samsung does, but aside from that? Their hardware's priced pretty competitively. Samsung's $600 tablet tier may have a bigger screen and more storage plus a stylus included, but Apple's $600 tablet has a much more powerful chip. Samsung's $1300 phone and Apple's $1200 phone have very similar specs, slight edge to Samsung but they also have the slight edge in price.
Samsung offers discounts on their products whereas Apple basically never does, so a frugal shopper will get better bang for their buck from Samsung than Apple, but full price? They're basically the same.
And my last Apple phone lasted me about 5 years before I got bored of it and wanted to try Samsung. It was still kicking totally fine.
I way prefer One UI over IOS from a software usability standpoint, so much better for my needs that it's not even a contest. But Apple making ewaste? Just not true. They are a perfectly viable option.
@@sparky6757 I may have exaggerated a tiny bit, but my point stands. They are destined e-waste, not e-waste from the start. Why? Because iPhones are unbelievable unrepairable. Almost every component nowadays in an iPhone is serialised to the CPU. Changa a conponent? Now It's functionality is crippled, or outright disabled. With my samsung phones on the other hand.
I had a old A71 of mine which I didn't really have a use for. Well guess whay, I just unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom operating system, now I use It for a lot of helpfull tasks.
Phones are going to break, It's not a matter of If, but a matter of when. And when apple decided to stop accepting repairs of a older iPhone, then cannot be repaired and re-serialised.
At some point, apple "accidentally" iCloud locked a lot of iPhone 6s or 7s, while trying to do something else. They didn't acknowledge their mistake or revert It. What are those phones now? E-Waste

iOS is for rich people, where Android is for rich people.
iOS is for *rich* people, where Android is for rich *people*
ios is for real rich people, there are always more sale of apple. These year does just because of cheap a15 galaxy.
You do realise there are many Android devices worth more than Apple devices, right? And that is before you consider that - for the same price - Android ALWAYS outperforms apple for performance, longevity, personalisation, and more. Why be a sheep and follow the crowd when you can get something uniquely yours and make it even moreso?
Apple is overpriced, and even their best isn't the best that you can buy. Why do you think professionals in every field use other brands? Musicians don't use Apple's Beats by Dre, they use brands you probably haven't heard of. A millionaire that I work for owns the latest Samsung and scoffs at Apple with me. Their customer support is a joke and they'll lie and plot to get more money out of people, and in ways that land them in supreme court quite often. They are not only bad value, but honestly evil. It's sad that the great inventions they do come out with are tainted by such an awful company.
Oh, and in case you don't know... Android is owned by Google. You use Google, don't you? Google also owns TH-cam. So, if you like TH-cam, you're liking a product affiliated with Android. Do you think rich people avoid TH-cam because it's owners also own Android?
IOS is for rich people
Android is for people with common sense
IOS is for rich people without brains
Andriod is for people with brains (rich is a customizable option)
This is the main reason why I don't use iPhone since the iPhone 4S. Yeah, back then you could sideload apps onto an iPhone 4S without jailbreaking it.
You've pretty much made the case for PC's over Macs as well
Do a video on how apple is forcing app developers to buy new macs because of a new requirement to use the latest Xcode which requires the latest OSx which then requires a recent Mac (M series) ... basically saying if you want to update your app buy a new 1300$ macbook and in a couple of years buy a new one
Watching this on my Galaxy A71 5G that has a head phone jack and expandable memory.
On the iPhone while typing all you have to do is hold the space bar down and you can move your cursor anywhere you want.
I own an android AND apple phone. It just boils down to use case.
Apple provides a very efficient and streamlined experience. Not only are the devices more power efficient, but its really hard to beat the integrations of family, device ecosystems, and accounts.
Meanwhile android provides a better personlized experience. The open ended experience allows a wider array applications, software and hardware features. Not to mention the benefit of an open market and the innovations it brings.

Yea but you have to wait a solid 1.5 seconds, it doesnt seem long but if you're doing it a few times a paragraph it adds up quickly. With Android I use a keyboard called "Simple Keyboard" which IMMEDIATELY starts sliding the cursor as soon as I swipe on the spacebar. With iOS there is a delay and it drives me nuts.
Sort of like how in the early 2000's it took your PC / game a pretty lengthy time to load, or videos to buffer, or movies to download. Today it takes Windows 5 seconds to boot, games take less than 30 seconds to load, movies and downloads are essentially instant. Now imagine going back lol.
