Came across this by accident... you seem like a decent young man. Live your life your own way, and love will find you. It starts by loving yourself first and being genuine.... the rest will follow. Forget the suburbs, LIVE your best life.
There's nothing controversal about those statements. The world has lost it's mind and many people are living in delusion. Keep up the content, man. I found your channel recently and your videos resonate with me.
I came across your video with Al and was so impressed I decided to check out another of your videos. I really admire the leap of faith you took to become self-sufficient. I love how you think of the future. We may not always get to sit in the shade of the trees we plant, but others will. I respect your foresight and dedication.

This is one of my favorite videos of yours. I don't know why it almost made me cry. There seems to be such a lack of joy and gratitude for life's greatest treasures and it is so inspiring and encouraging to see you stand up for your values. I've always struggled with that. It's been a dream of mine to have an off grid cabin and hopefully it will happen some day. It's never too late until it is.

I think it’s amazing that you have the maturity at such a young age to be in touch with exactly what you need to make your life a happy one. I spent so much of my youth trying to please other people at the expense of my own wishes. Keep doing what you’re doing because it’s so important to write your own story and not feel guilty doing it. I find you inspirational, and I’m 62 this year. Thanks for sharing

My grandfather gave me the best advice for life.
" Get advice from everyone you love and trust, take with a grain of salt, use what you think is right for you and discard the rest"
The only one that knows what's right for you in your world is you yourself.
Keep it real and keep your head up and keep pushing, you'll get there in the end.

Came by your videos by accident. What amazing young man you are. You seem to be getting your life together. Live your life the way you enjoy your life. I’m old enough to be your grandmother so I have lived life with some regrets. Life goes by so fast. I think you have your head on straight.
You described the US Government to a T. Diego, You have freedom of speech. You have a moral obligation to say what you feel. You are entitled to your opinions and beliefs. This is a huge country. People all have differing opinions. You do not have to apologize for the way you feel. If someone harasses you for your values or for your opinion, cut them off. Block them. Don't buy into their tirades. Friends know friends have differing opinions of life in general. But they love you still. So, even if a friend has a different opinion, as long as it does not stress your relationship out with them, its ok for you to have your opinion and respect theirs. As long as they respect you too for having your own thoughts and views. I think you are a great guy. Enjoy your life young man.
Hello from a first generation immigrant in this country. I like learning about locals and videos like this are quite helpful. Thank you! As an outsider, it’s somewhat easier for me to observe different people and groups of people, study their behavior and motivation. Absence of attachments and needs to pick sides help me to keep the bias down.
I’ll allow myself few observations about this video. Your statement about seeking challenge and being open to corrections in your views are quite rare. Americans are rarely this open and in most cases sound very sure and firm about their beliefs. Another observation is about comments in this video. I couldn’t notice any sense of disagreeing or challenging your statements. Pretty much everyone expressed some level of support.
I myself like to question what I see, know or feel. And I wish I had more people around me who’d be willing to tell me more about their perception of the world. Anywho, thanks and good luck.

So rad! I know your probably younger than me but I think it’s so so rad that as a man you have created this. Your future wife and kids are going to be so blessed to have this cabin the memories the adventures and the core lessons that kids can learn out there is immeasurable to what is taught now. We are “baby preppers as well” but we have been waiting about four years to afford to buy our own small piece of land out here in AZ and with inflation we hardly survive as it is. With our two kids we have now we homeschool, with that we do a lot of unschooling. We teach survival, plants protection fires water and filtrations, resources, health, hunting fishing so it def is pretty rad to be able to do homeschool. Your gratitude and hard work put into this cabin is really rad!

Your cabin looks nice and cozy and I fully believe in your philosophy too (I’m your step cousin Sarah btw) We just got a place by lake merwin and I’m hoping to go off grid slowly but surely. First thing on my list is a woodstove, then hopefully a garden this spring.

Never ever let anyone intimidate or bully you into not standing for what you know is right. There is a lot of noise in the world but I absolutely guarantee you that the majority of people think exactly like you, the naysayers are just a little louder, we have to speak the truth and stand firm.

I believe we are headed for bad times as a country and having a safe place to go to will be very important. You are wise to have done this so early in your life. I admire your outlook, especially your love for living. It takes planning to enjoy and live a preppers lifestyle. I've had forty years of success and failures, trying. Many events, over many years, made me think it was over for man, but only our creator knows that time. Nurture relationships, stay positive, and keep helping others.
We saw your video about helping with the water wheel....and I just got this great vibe how you related to the owner of that cabin w water wheel...so next day we watched Big Island videos ( we used to live on Big Island near Puna) and then watched this video...we knew we liked you! You got a good head on your shoulders. I'm 50 now, and looking I wish I would have done what you're doing in my 20's, but having kid's early in life kinda changed everything for me. I don't regret having them, all 3 are my heart, and all 4 grandchildren are my breath. But they would have had a much better life, than what they see and have had in a city anywhere. I live in Bama, but Montana, Wyoming, Washington, or deep in Alaska, is where I really wanna be. Good luck and God bless you, young man. What you're doing is well worth it in the end.
Hi, I loved your video, it's my future plan as soon as I retire soon, to build my off the grid cabin, with my life partner.
I was moved to get out of the city in 2001, I got my little land but there were no jobs out here so I kinda piddled around till 2007 where I saw being a trucker I could live anywhere, so I switched from accounting to trucking, got my home 2008, started paying it off and ordering my above ground beds, built my chicken coup and run, built my leanto where I would raise my meat chicks, and just kept ordering what I would need for when home paid off I could jump into my gardening, chickens in 2021 December I made that dream a reality when I got my place paid off… I agree with you Diego children need a father figure expecially boys to teach them how to be men, little girls need that father figure to know what to base their future husband on. Stand for your self, morality,and fellow humanity regardless how this world falls apart around us.

If you see this, or anyone else reading, I think one of the main issues that has created "two sides" is that each side and maybe I am biased though I feel I am very middle of the road, but especially one side will never sit down and discuss. They have their "facts" no matter how much it's proven to be false. I'm sure some of you have already heard it expressed as it's a religion. Though big time on the one, both do go through the motions of a religion and some on crazed cult status. A non deity religion on the level of the inquisition/with hunting etc. And the one side that this applies to more, they have most of the power institutions under it's sway. Pharma, big tech, govt etc. I personally feel time is running out to have discussions. Some of these people you can lop off their hand and they will claim it's still there.

You are a great looking young man. I feel like you are probably lonely. You are hopefully in a relationship with someone who enjoys that type of living. If not don't take anything personal. Eventually most people crave this type of living. Be patient. Don't rush yourself to do any growing up. That feeling you have where you have your youth all balled up tight in its place is a blessing . Hold on to it. Don't over think it. That will lead you to the perfect one for you. Lonliness is the road map to discovery. You learn more after that.

The Covid years and the current political climate really were difficult for so many, but specially those that had just finished college. Here you all were with a good education and no place to really use it. I see so many younger people (25-35 years old) that are struggling with what to do next. We have to speak what we strongly believe in.
Never pick a side, understand both sides, avoid them both. As for masculinity...I've been a forester for 25 years and have raised two kids propelry, none of that has anything to do with masculinity, that just another ridiculous concept or construct. As a forester I've met female tree surgeons who could out work most the men and they were no less feminine for it. Since I stopped worrying about masculinity and embrace my own so called feminine attributes of my character I'm no less of a man.
This has released from so much BS. The best thing you can do it's just disconnect from online opinions and focus on stimuli from books and read the ideas from serious thinkers of the ages from round the world, read western philosophy along side some Eastern. I've accepted I'll never be a serious thinker and I'll never contribute to any philosophy but I'm now aware that I should never follow any singular trail of thought or regurgitate any modern idealism of how others should live thier life...that's dangerous for society.
Nice videos on how to get off grid though, that's a noble pursuit my friend.
Build a base, mothball it and then go travel and see how folk really live.

For me the whole point of living rural in the sticks is to be alone with no people around. You have neighbours either side of you close just like in the suburbs sort of defeats the point doesn’t it??

Cold weather is the perfect place. Better than burning/sweating to death, and it's easier to stay warm than to stay cool. I don't know many women who would go for that secluded off-grid lifestyle. But when you find that special woman, don't chase her away. 😂

Couldn't have said it better myself, We live in a town called Paducah when I first moved here it was out of my hands completely Long story short what used to be a slow town just back in 2015 has now become corrupt so it seems and congested. I didnt stay here for that after i got out but now I feel we are "stuck" here. There's nothing controversial about your statements, even though I disagree with your gender/abortion perspectives. Opinions are good. I appreciate opiniated folk. It produces conversations, it's better than letting media decide for you. A lot of people are lacking individuality and accountability. Buying a cabin in the woods is the antithesis of that. I really dig what you have going on over there and I'll be following what you share about your journey.
If people are 'offended' by something you say, but can't still be your friend, then they are not your friend. We all have different opinions, but it shouldn't be a reason to not like someone....

My dream has always been to live of grid ,I'm a plumber know electrics self efficient and love to invent things ,there is too much catastrophes in this world ,I know we have to have and make growth for us and the universe but there are so many bad things in this world that it is impossible to run away from it ,so yes I totaly get you man ,I think the same way but I'm 55 now and I just want to live spiritualy with nature don't have to answer to anyone only just to jesus Joshua God and all living things that live with and around me and no people I'm quite happy to live by my own and interact with people when ever it's needed.

Its interesting to see that most of the things you talked about in the video sound quite similar as subjects in the Bible. It makes clear that a good relationship with Jesus and family is very important. It seems that the world is becoming increasingly more satanistic and the end times are coming closer.
